This place is amazing. Very LGBTQ friendly, and wonderfully nice management.
Number 1 pick of the best of the Portland area in 8/16 paper!!
We ate here our first day of our Maine trip and made a point to also get some before our flights home. The Chicken Schnitzel was delicious, and the pita was so good we bought extra for the road.

Nura Hummus, Falafel, and Shawarma offers an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The food is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, with quality and authenticity in every dish. The grilled meats are tender, the rice is incredible, and the hummus and fresh bread are some of the best. For vegetarians, this is a dream, with exceptionally fresh and flavorful falafel pita, falafel salad, and hummus with pita. The Nura Falafel Pocket includes falafel, hummus, pickled beet relish, cucumber dill salad, and tahini sauce, tucked into a pita, plus shawarma-dusted fries. The falafel salad features local greens, shaved radish, cucumber, tahini sauces, and fresh pomegranate seeds. The atmosphere is bright, welcoming, with plenty of seating, plants, and natural light. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and friendly, bringing food directly to the table with a smile. Portions are generous and everything comes out quickly. This is easily one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants.
