A beautiful and kind local bagel shop with great coffee and great people all around. Price point is reasonable and the quality of the product is fantastic. The pastrami is as good as anything you can find in New York City - just as good as Katz’s or Pastrami Queen, Ben’s Delicatessen, etc.The bagels are reminiscent of Russ & Daughters or Kossar’s in the Lower East Side and I have no doubt that this is the closest you will get to a NYC bagel in Maine.I am impressed.

I had a trip planned to Portland for a while and researched my post/Fitness show eats for quite some time, and I’m so happy that I stopped by Rose foods. I wasn’t sure what I wanted, and the woman behind the counter helped me choose, and it was delicious, light, and super satisfying. The crunch of the bagel was everything I hoped for!
