“Rose's is my absolute favorite Italian place in Maine.The food is fantastic and I'd argue they have the best tasting tomato sauce and chicken parm you'll find and the pizza is great as well!It's not a fancy restaurant but more of a family type vibe. Clean, efficient, and great food. Reasonably priced as the portions are HUGE! Staff is always friendly. Only issue is that they can get busy at dinner time and parking can be tight, but it's worth the wait.Really can't ask for anything more!“
“Went here twice in one week. Ordered out the first night and when I went to pick up the takeout order, I noticed how nice the atmosphere was and wanted to come back. Decided to stop in and sit at the bar a couple days later after Ice fishing on Long lake. Awesome pizza, friendly staff and some generously poured shots. A go to for pizza in the area for sure.“

“All the food here is great, all the staff here is great. I stop by usually once a week if I can just because it's a tried and true. The Mac and cheese bites are a must everytime I go, no matter what else I ordered! “Dropped in bc it was the only thing open. They stayed open later for us and even told us we had less than 5 min to order pizza. Ryan was a great bartender! Don't knock the mashed potato pizza. Sounded awful but MAN!! Delicious!!! Also got pepperoni/sausage pizza. Ryan's sausage was AMAZING! (you see what I did there?) Great little local bar with yummy food, lots of of drink choices and kick ass conversations. Hope to go back during our quick trip to Maine!“
“Usually I am very happy with the tavern burger. I will order it to go and sometimes warm it in the oven when I am ready to eat it. Tonights order was a bit of disappointment because there was a very small portion of fries on the side. I can eat at least twice what is in the photo...“
“First time in since the ownership changed and they still have great pizza and service. We had a veggie pizza with a white garlic spread. It was loaded with veggies with great flavor. Also had a sausage and onion pizza that was delish. Our server, Steve was personable and great. Love the atmosphere with the pictures of the staff/patrons in the bar area. Its nice to see owners appreciate their staff and patrons. Value: very fair as food is so expensive now a days.“

The restaurant layout and design is really good, and the few times I've gone in to eat they always had some TV channel with people falling down. Grandkids loved it.“
“First time trying The Beacon and we will definitely be back. Tried a half cheese half pepperoni and mushroom pizza and it was delicious. The dough was fluffy and sauce was right in the middle of not too spicy nor too sweet. I tend to like my pizza a little darker so I will ask for it to be left in a little longer next time. No complaints and can’t wait to go back and try some of their other offerings.“
