“My brother claims their pizzas to be one of the best and he has eaten a lot of pizzas. I totally agree with him. Even though we only ordered takeout, we relished every bite that we plan to come back, dine and enjoy the view.Vegetarian options: Salads and pizzas with vegan options.“
“First time in for my Girlfrienda birthday weekend and everything was 10/10. the focaccia with burrata was unbelievable. Both of our meals were off the charts. And I'm so sorry i forget the waitress name but she was great as well! Overall can't wait to come back and visit Portland because we will certainly be back.“
“I just want to go here everyday until I’ve tried every pastry. This spot is super cute, in the best neighborhood in Portland (don’t fight me). The staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming. The pastries all looked so amazing it was hard to choose! I ended up getting the pistachio croissant, was was topped with a hard shell of dark chocolate and chopped pistachios, and filled with a great pistachio paste (similar to an almond croissant). It was incredibly decedent but so delicious. I worked at a very prestigious French bakery, and I prefer Belleville’s croissant to any that I had while working there.I appreciate their traditional coffee menu, too, which works so great any of the pastries.I’ll absolutely be back!!“
“This place is a rare find. They are local folks in a sweet part of a Portland neighborhood right across from Morans market. It is very clean and the food is amazing. Their prices are fantastic and every day they have a few specials and a special drink. The service is also fantastic always served with a smile. This is a must try. Support local!!!“
“Excellent! We had the house salad … like no house salad I’ve ever had! Lots of goodies, super tasty and the large was plenty for two! My hubby had rigatoni carbonara. I had the crab raviolini. We also ordered bread service ($7 was a bit high).Rigatoni carbonara was very tasty but extremely rich. He wished it would have been cut with an acid for balance. My ravolini was perfect in flavor and size.We sat at the bar (not our fave but we didn’t have a reso). Stools were NOT comfortable. Bar/waitress (Lora/Lori I’m pretty sure that’s her name) was friendly and solicitous to us.It was great to be in a neighborhood (and not in the Old Port). We’ve driven by the restaurant and never been inside … glad we did this time. We’ll be back!“
“First time in beautiful Portland Maine, the five of us coming from Indiana were looking for some new local eats. Blocks away from where we’re staying was Anthony’s Italian Kitchen. Walked into a warming Italian atmosphere and greeted instantly by the owners smile and welcoming ambience. He handed us menus with content and grace. I proceeded to ask what he recommended. In short words he said Spaghetti & Meatballs, Eggplant Parmesan, or the Lasagna mentioning everything was made in house/homemade, I was thrilled for authentic cuisine! I ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs per his recommendation, as he told me multiple times how much I will LOVE it. Waiting on my food I admired the radiance of the restaurant and getting joyous for a meal that I longed for all day. The moment came and I ate. He was absolutely right! One of the best Spaghetti & Meatballs dishes I’ve ever eaten/tasted. It was so amazing, two others in my party also got Spaghetti & Meatballs that they thoroughly expressed how delicious our first meal was in Maine. Thank you for making our first meal one to remember and being so kind and welcoming. A++++! I would come back for more deliciousness and chats.“
“Best pizza in America. Thin crust, hand made in house. Highest quality ingredients. Pastries are incredible. Vegan & gluten free options. Large selections of pastas, canned goods, cheeses, cured meats, fruits, vegetables, craft beers, fine wines, soft drinks and chocolates galore! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeble service.Vegetarian options: Their veggie & vegan slices are devine!Parking: Easy in, easy out.“
“What can I say?....This place is awesome. The pizza is perfect. Soft, chewy crust with little charred bubbles. The toppings are not your run of the mill Pepperoni and sausage etc. They have some interesting combinations that are very interesting and delicious. I highly recommend quanto basta.“
“This is a hidden gem in Portland. If you like thin crust pizza this place is the best. It is unique, not like anything else in the city, but that is the point. It is excellent. You may not like the style of crust, but the ingredients are all top notch. The staff all seem personally invested in the success of the restaurant, which is great. The atmosphere is incredibly comfortable and laid back. Also, there is parking - a rare thing in downtown Portland. Try the Dean Martin pizza and the dessert Nutella Pizza. You will not be disappointed. My new favorite restaurant in Portland, now that Emalitsa has closed. Yes, I am putting Coals on the same playing field as one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at.Parking: There is plenty of free parking in the lot behind the building.“
“10/10 place to eat, I go here a ton for my lunch and their food is always perfect. My family loves it too. All the negative reviews about the wait time and such is totally lies! I don’t think I have ever waited for more than 20 minutes for my food even when they are super busy. The prices are not bad because of the quality of their food, love it and always keeps me full for my day :)“
“I love the India street Amatoes! The foods is as good as it’s always been. Anytime I’m Back in Portland, I always go and get a taste of history! Now my grandchildren also love Amatoes ❤️ there’s nothing like the original! The cheese stuffers were a perfect snack to eat before heading home :)Thanks for making our delicious sandwiches ands pizza Zack!“
“The wonderful people working to create the Superette experience truly care about offering an interesting variety of quality goods to serve the Munjoy Hill community. I love that they have both tasty staples and exciting new tries! Annd, they have hot food ready to go?! An amazing place to shop and live local.“
“All the recent bad reviews of this business is the result of them being targeted by a private facebook group of antivaxers upset about the mandate. Most do not even live in Portland. Most running the group 1k strong are the same leaving the reviews. Feel free to DM me if you'd like the receipts or the names of the people going after you.“
“I would say Moran's meets expectations. It's a small local spot with your typical deli/quick service options. There is some outside seating for when it's nice out. I had the small salami Italian for lunch. It wasn't as loaded with ingredients as I would've expected, but it was tasty and fresh. The bread was really good. I'd order lunch here again for something quick and easy, and I hear the pizza is good, so that's something to try in the future. Maybe I'd take off half a star just because there aren't a ton of choices, but it gets the job done in a pinch.“
“First time my wife and I ate here and the food was excellent. We ordered pulled pork which was smoked and cooked to perfection. We met the owner who was a very friendly individual from the start. We finished our food and the owner asked us for feed back as well. The prices were very fair and we will be back again.“
“This was our first time to this restaurant and the experience was wonderful . The service was superb. Our waitress advised us to put our full order in so we could make our 630 show and we weren't rushed. The food was awesome ...we had the Gemelli and Cioppino, the bruschetta with tomatoes and mozzarella and the baked Crespelle. Outstanding 5/5 will definitely return“
“When you think of what a homemade pretzel is the picture in your mind is what this place produces. Food is good. Very inviting for a more neighborhood spot with friendly staff and tasty bar snacks. Their pizza looked good and their toppings wicked interesting so next time I’m in Portland I will grab a slice. Would recommend grabbing a pint and their pretzel for a snack to start your afternoon“
“They should rename this place "Cheers of the North". I've never been to such a welcoming and hospitable spot. The Thai pizza is outstanding. The tacos are even better. Beers are all great and you can tell that Jeff, the brewmaster, puts a ton of effort and attention into the beers. The space is super cozy and inviting. Like hanging out at a close friend's house. Every time I'm up here I try to make it my first and last stop. I found out this time they have an AirBnB on site called "The Brewhouse" cannot wait to stay there next time I'm up.“
