“This small restaurant is located behind the Claremont hotel, right on the water! Great view with a patio as well! You could definitely tell how fresh all the ingredients were! So good and tasty! The Mediterranean plate was listed as a main course, which it shouldn't be. It's more of an app. And also, I wish my salad would have been bigger. Our server was so cheery and friendly!“

“One of the first things you see when arriving at the dock in Bar Harbor is the West Street Cafe. This idyllic restaurant’s menu more than matches the waterside eatery you picture in any movie set in a sea-side community.All the seafood is as fresh as you can expect and was delicious. The crab cakes, fish and chips, lobster and shrimp were amazing! It is a tourist town so be prepared to pay a little more than you would in other places. Overall the aesthetic, feel and food are on point!“

“Amazing Place. Looks like a hole in the wall. Go inside and nicely renovated. The BEST fried seafood platter, EVER! Coast to coast I have never had such a perfect light breading on the freshest seafood .... Atlantic shrimp, local Clams and sweet Scallops plus Haddock. I was So impressed. “It is February 2024. Off-season, but luckily for us - they are open on Thursday/Friday/Saturday for dinner!!Excellent in every way. Our entree was a delicious haddock dish with sides of ceasar salad, and red potatoes. They made me a wonderful Blueberry martini.The staff were attentive and pleasant and the ambience was intimate and comfortable. Bar Harbor is the Best!!!“
