“I was there to meet a friend whom I hadn't seen for 30 years. I picked Stockhouse due to the location, menu, and reviews.I was glad that I did pick this place. The food was delicious. Our waitress was so pleasant and patient with us... since my friend and I hadn't seen each other for years, we had a lot to catch up on.I had the fish and chips, and my friend had the rodeo burger. They were full portions.I would definitely recommend it.“
“The customer service was amazing and very helpful, and the food was decent, I tried the highland burger and fries and it was pretty good but the caramelized onions seemed a little under cooked and the fries had an interesting seasoning on them which wasn't too bad. Over all our table was full and satisfied at the end of the meal and the popcorn chicken was really good!“
“My husband and I have traveled the world, and this is among the best meals we’ve experienced!! A husband/wife team that created for us a perfect evening. The seafood paella was to die for, the scallops melted in our mouths, on a lovely salad bed. The garlic sauce was incredible-smooth as silk! For dessert we shared churros dipped in chocolate with super fresh coffee. Yikes- so good! We will be back when we return to Portland!“
“This place is the best fried fish sandwich you can sync your teeth into. They have a great special on Mondays and Tuesdays just for nobody even comes close to stellar fried fish sandwiches with lettuce and tartar for three bucks Drop the Mic.“
“This place should have a solid 5 stars! Amaaaaazingly fresh fish (even in the winter), great prices, fabulous diversity in sake and Japanese whisky, knowledgeable servers, and brilliant outdoor patio. Shout out to Gabby, server extraordinaire, who goes the extra mile for customer service while being unpretentious and informative. She's been here through two owners and 10 years - this place treats their folks well, it seems! And - ummmm - can we talk about the heated bidet situation in the bathroom?! Love this place for quality, class, and convenience! Highly recommend reservations in peak season, but you won't regret the extra step to cut to the front of the verrrry long line! Keep up the good work, crew!“
“Our recent visit to David's for a birthday dinner was fantastic! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, setting the perfect tone for a special celebration. The haddock and mussels were cooked just right, and the bacon & white bean ragout added a lovely depth of flavor. The butternut squash risotto was creamy and delicious, and the spinach provided a fresh contrast to the dish.My mother's Tournedos au Poivre was also a hit. The pepper-crusted beef tenderloin medallions were cooked perfectly, and the green peppercorn and brandy cream sauce was rich and flavorful. The garlic mashed potatoes and autumn vegetable medley were the perfect accompaniments. We'll definitely be back!“
“We really enjoyed our first time in to the Maine Oyster Company, we went into just get a drink and a few oysters but ended up getting a few drinks and a couple plates as well. Bryn and staff were helpful picking out oysters although we did end up trying all of them and we really enjoyed the Tuna sashimi dish. Nice spot with very accommodating staff and cool vibe, we will be back.“
“OMG dog friendly;!!!!!!!! I had the pulled pork and it was very. Tasty but needed a little more sauce and more of the onions. Don't forget the delicious Cole slaw. Don't get me wrong we will be back for more food and DARK BEER!!!!!“
“This was my first visit . It's a nice clean restaurant and seafood market that doesn't smell like one. The employees are friendly and helpful . Before visiting I did call because I was unsure if they had a place to eat in . My guest had coffee and they said it was great ! We both ordered combination plates of haddock and scallops with onion rings . We were served ice water when we were sat. That was nice . They had premium quality napkins and plastic cutlery . The haddock was amazing ! Along with the onion rings ! Perfect ! The scallops were huge ! But very wet so they were not crispy . I asked . So I was hoping to get bacon wrapped scallops or a lobster dinner which was not on the menu . They do sell live lobsters in tanks . Although the breading didn't have much flavor the oil they used tasted very clean . No after taste . We ordered a cup of seafood chowder to try but we're too full. Would liked to have seen more onion rings for the up charge as they were delish ! I will be back for sure ! Next time I'll try the steamed lobster dinner or the Maine man lobster roll ! Blueberry habanero sauce ! Yum ! Ps I'd prefer tartar sauce in individual cups instead of large squeeze bottles used over and over. On table room temp then in fridge then out and in . Mayo spoils . That would probably be the biggest complaint and other places do it as well. My guest said the pickles were good !“
“A few days ago, my teenage son and I ate at Docks Seafood for a late lunch. We were thoroughly pleased with our entire experience and had to share!I ordered the haddock sandwich and fries. Yum! Yum! My son ordered the haddock nuggets and fries. We both loved our meals. Everything came out fresh, flavorful and hot. I ate every single thing on my plate. The piece of haddock was huge and served on a lightly toasted bun. It was pure bliss. Their homemade tarter sauce goes perfectly with their seafood. I just couldn't stop eating their french fries. They were perfectly salted. My son loved his haddock nuggets. It's always great to see him eat food that he loves. Our waitress was awesome and she was heavily rewarded for all her awesomeness. We can't wait to go back to Docks Seafood. We left with a baked item for dessert because we were too full from our meal to eat anymore. It was a whoopie pie. Soooo good! Also, the owner came to our table to talk to us and he was super sweet. ?Kid-friendliness: My two kiddos (ages 12 and 15) love the menu options. There's something for everyone.“
“Check out this great restaurant. Four of us ate dinner at Regards Saturday night & totally enjoyed our meals. We are adventurous eaters who love to try new foods. We cook gourmet meals for ourselves & friends & we want quality options. Our motto is that we don't mind spending a little more money, if the food is better than we would make for ourselves and or something we wouldn't generally take the time to prepare at home. Because, the food is influenced by Japanese & Mexican roots, we had to "ask Siri" to define many of the menu items, but that was fun too. I am gluten/dairy intolerant & often restaurants will only have a few options that I can choose from, but at Regards, I had endless options & didn't feel like I was missing out on the "good choices". Regards offers great ambiance, a nice assortment of menu choices, helpful friendly staff & wonderful food. Check it out-“
“Wow. This place is absolutely wonderful. Went here for the first time ever on a date with my boyfriend. The food was so delicious and seasoned to perfection. The dessert we got was divine and the service was excellent. This is a great place to go on a little fancy dinner with your partner or to have a celebratory dinner. And the drinks are made so delicious. We got lucky and actually had a table available Saturday night, but it was packed for the most part. 11/10 will go here again.“
“We love the daily specials! The wait staff has always been pleasant and friendly. This is our go-to place for special events. Try the hush puppies! You won't regret it. There are also plenty of choices for those that do not eat seafood.“
“Portland, Maine’s Best sandwich/wrap shop of 2023 Po' Boys & Pickles is the real deal! The authentic Creole New Orleans' flavors are on point. Counter service was fast and friendly. The Blackened fish sandwich($15) is not to be missed! The sandwich is dressed with Cajun Cole slaw, sliced tomato and red pepper mayo. This is a huge sandwich, easily shareable and absolutely delicious!! The bread is from Leidenheimer Bakery, New Orleans. Founded in 1896, Leidenheimer's is the last of the old-school Po' boy bakeries. Po' Boys & Pickles has made the commitment to using the best bread and most authentic ingredients in all of their Po' boys and sandwiches. Truly an homage to New Orleans!! You can taste the goodness in every bite. The perfect accompaniment was a basket of sweet potato fries($6).The fries were perfectly crisp, not greasy, plentiful and delicious. Great quality, inexpensive dining experience!! I love this place and you will too! Highly recommend.“
“I have always loved the Bite Into Maine food truck at the light house. I was so excited to go to this location! I tried the 3 flavors mini lobster rolls this time! Yummy and fresh as always!! The staff were nice and friendly! I ordered online and pick up in store. The process was smooth and easy!“
“I was only able to photograph the lemonade that was prepared with a unique cocktail style by the manager, when the food was delivered to us, the appearance and aroma did not make us forget to photograph it. We ordered: the fish sandwich which was a bestseller. A delicious melted crab cheese, my daughter a Clam Chowder that was surprising and my wife the Loaded Snappy red hot dog that managed to surprise us. The manager's attention is unbeatable! Totally recommend this place.“
“This place is great for room service or eating in the restaurant. Friendly staff, friendly guests, and multiple comfortable places to sit and chill. I stay at the adjacent hotel 3+ times a year because of the food options, bar and location.“
“First time dining tonight, and it was phenomenal. Plenty of chips on the table, server was excellent and fast, food came out in minutes from ordering! The atmosphere was clean and the staff was so kind. The chimichangas we ordered were perfectly crispy and they accommodated change of sides! They even make guacamole in front of you. I am so impressed and will be back.“
“We visited this restaurant on our weekend at a friends and it did not disappoint! The clam strips were fresh and the fish and chips was flaky and so very tasty. It's a walk up window so the service was fine. Seating is outside and on this particular day the covered area was perfect! The only reason I have 4 stars is because their clam cakes were flat and not round as I am used to. Would definitely recommend!“
“They have the best freshest fish and best lobster specials in the summer. Service is very friendly and welcoming bathrooms are clean which is very important to me. Great portions and they always have popcorn and peanuts for you for free!! Lots of parking too.“
“Excellent service and excellent food! Waitress was very professional, friendly and very helpful. Are burgers and beer or delicious. Atmosphere was nice, cheerful and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. They have a meat market outback that is unbelievable, filled with choices, and very helpful in finding the perfect cut of beef. They have all sorts of seafood, poultry, red meat and pork.“
“The Portland Harbor Hotel is always my go-to place to stay when visiting Portland. not only is it in the middle of all the best restaurants making them walking distance, but it also features in excellent restaurant and Bar with an enclosed Courtyard. Obviously the igloos this time of year make it a must visit.Portland Harbor Hotel“
“Wonderful breakfasts while staying at this hotel. Try some lobster with your breakfast. I really enjoyed the berries and yogurt also. I had dinner here the last night of my stay and it was divine. Street parking is sparce and the parking deck is expensive so walk or uber if you aren't staying at the hotel. The manager clearly knows what she is doing as does the chef. Amazing.“
“Never knew of this location but always willing to support local business. Got 10 pieces of chicken tenders but if you are a tenders die hard these are fried chicken breast but are good and fresh!Got a gyro platter with salad and everything was fresh. Staff was accommodating and really nice. Will stop by again“
“Old-World Italian food, their Lasagna is to die for! There's a variety of dinners to choose from, but I love Italian dishes. The service is awesome. There's a little bar inside also for a cocktail before dinner. I love the ambience and service, too.“
