“Currently driving home and wishing I could enjoy another meal of the best lobster roll. The two friendly gentlemen working the stand said it would be the best lobster roll we had, and it definitely was. Should have gone back for another meal of French fries and lobster roll with butter.”

“We took a little impromptu drive from camp to winter harbor and stumbled upon this absolute gem! We had some of the eclair cake (for 2!) and as the sign promised, it was the perfect amount to share! They make an incredible amount of things in house and all looked so yummy! We have already recommended to several people! What a perfect way to warm up after a windy morning at grindstone neck point.”

“I'm not sure why this restaurant has gotten such average reviews. We went there for our anniversary dinner and the food was excellent. I had duck confit and it was amazing. We shared the whipped blueberry cheesecake and plan to go back again just for that. Highly recommend.”

“Side Street Café is our favorite place to eat in Bar Harbor. This cafe has really great vibes and the service staff is always attentive and friendly. Their cocktails and mocktails are all superb and the "Born to Rum" cocktail is easily the best rum cocktail I've ever had. My wife and I really appreciate that Side Street Café offers a number of vegetarian and vegan options. These can be hard to come by at other restaurants in the area, but the veggie options here are to-die-for! We always get the Brussel sprouts starter. The maple bourbon glaze is the perfect balance of savory and sweet. We've had the hummus platter a few times and love it as a healthy starter before the meal. My recent go-to has been the Lean Machine veggie burger with a side of the house fries. The fries have a delicious salty seasoning and the burger features a delicious earthy flavor that balances well with the sweet spice of the mustard and the creaminess of the avocado. My wife loves the Emilia wrap. The hummus and basil pesto blend nicely with the fresh vegetables which also contribute to a very aesthetic, colorful meal. Whether you're sitting inside or out on the patio, the Side Street Café is the perfect way to celebrate a successful hike, bike ride, or cap off a day of shopping. If you haven't been to this Bar Harbor staple, you need to add it to your list.”

“The food and drinks were great! I had the verde taco which was one of the best tacos I've ever had, and a decaf Choco-latte. I would have loved to get a little more food for the price,but the taste made it worthwhile. The place was fairly crowded but it was still possible to choose a table. The staff were friendly and fast. The ambiance is great and felt comfortable for us - lots of light, kind of cool but unpretentious, just a really nice vibe.”

“You're going here for cocktails. Do they serve beer? Yes... But that's like ordering grilled cheese at a seafood place (nothing wrong with the beer selection though). Understand this, the place is busier than it looks and making great cocktails is an art. This isn't a beer slinging joint where a order is compete in 60 seconds. Be patient. You're likely on vacation anyway. If you want to see a professional mixologist/bartender/artist, go to the Cottage Street Pub. See Cassidy (dark hair, teal highlights). Enjoy her professionalism and appropriate amount of sass. Cassidy mixed up FANTASTIC cocktails for us Monday through Thursday (July 17-20,-2023) (yeah, you read that correctly, we went four nights in a row). Not only did she mix the cocktails, but she mixed up great tunes the entire time as well. Read all that again, don't waste your time on beer here, get the cocktails. Learn the bartender's name, it helps to grab their attention when they are herding 100 cats. Hope you get Cassidy as your professional bartender! I'm sure the others are great, too.”

“Amazing place, staff is great especially Max (the bartender) he is very knowledgeable about the large whiskey selection and extremely nice. Bonus that this is closest irish pub to ireland in the United States. If you’re in emergency services they collect patches for the bar back from your department. Great food and plenty on tap to choose from. Mixed drinks are crafted with style.”

“We just opened a bottle of Bartlett Coastal Red that we picked up during a visit at the winery while vacationing in Maine 3 years ago. It was very tasteful. We enjoyed it so much that I looked up the winery to jar my memory bank. We remember a very pleasant visit with Kathy and we also met her husband. We would order a case of that wine to be sent to us in Texas if we could. If I had it to do over, we would have brought a case back with us.”

“This place is legit! Outstanding beers. The Night Nurse (I think that was the name—I could be wrong) was downright incredible. Staff was great, place was clean and tidy, atmosphere was quiet and appealing, prices were as expected for a tourist town. I would happily return to Bar Harbor specifically for Fogtown.”
