On the other hand there was so many extra clams that they over spilled the excellent roll that was perfectly cooked. The french fries were excellent along with the coleslaw. “Duckfat has always and will always knock it out of the park. It's out top place to visit when we're in Portland. For first timers...the restaurant is very small with communal tables so it is very likely that as a small group you will be seated with others. The outdoor dining was available and we had the perfect day for it. The fries are the obvious choice here, but spring for the poutine with a duck egg on top. You won't regret it. I'm a sucker for a Cuban on any menu but THIS one is literally the best I've ever had and that was even without the pickles (I have an allergy ?). Worth noting that instead of the typical ham in the sandwich, they exchanged it for soppresatta. While that's not a typical go to for me, I trust in anything they make and it went together SO well. I can't wait to make it back already and it's only been a week.Parking: There is a very small lot for the building if you're lucky to find a spot. We got there within 30 mins of opening and a few were still open. There is also street parking and a couple nearby garages. Portland is a great walking city anyways so find any lot in/near Old Port and you can pretty much walk everywhere you want to go.“

“Great brewery! We stopped in on the way to the airport. A lot of IPAs and hoppy beers (not our thing) but we still found yummy beers. Taproom is outside in a heated tent and they have little tent/cubbies with their own heaters. I would love to drink beers here on a random day when it is dumping outside.Lots of merch. Good Food truck. Kids loved grilled cheese, burger. Hook/string game outside. Super friendly staff at the bar and merch area.Would love to come back on our next trip to Maine!“
“Foundation Brewing is a fantastic delight. We had the opportunity to meet one of the four owners tonight and she was so friendly. Tina runs the tasting room, if you see her while you're enjoying the beer or pizza... make sure to ask her some questions about her hometown (Detroit, MI) or how Foundation Brewing came to be a local micro-brew.The pizza is a light, fluffy and crunchy exploration in all the best ways you could imagine. I think this brewery is getting the absolute most out of what space they have to work with and their staff is so friendly/helpful/patient. I'm committing myself to returning over and over and being (hopefully) a regular :)10/10 would recommend to anybody in and around the Portland/Westbrook city line.“

The bartender was very helpful with picking from the large list of option with each new pour being great! “This was my first visit . It's a nice clean restaurant and seafood market that doesn't smell like one. The employees are friendly and helpful . Before visiting I did call because I was unsure if they had a place to eat in . My guest had coffee and they said it was great ! We both ordered combination plates of haddock and scallops with onion rings . We were served ice water when we were sat. That was nice . They had premium quality napkins and plastic cutlery . The haddock was amazing ! Along with the onion rings ! Perfect ! The scallops were huge ! But very wet so they were not crispy . I asked . So I was hoping to get bacon wrapped scallops or a lobster dinner which was not on the menu . They do sell live lobsters in tanks . Although the breading didn't have much flavor the oil they used tasted very clean . No after taste . We ordered a cup of seafood chowder to try but we're too full. Would liked to have seen more onion rings for the up charge as they were delish ! I will be back for sure ! Next time I'll try the steamed lobster dinner or the Maine man lobster roll ! Blueberry habanero sauce ! Yum ! Ps I'd prefer tartar sauce in individual cups instead of large squeeze bottles used over and over. On table room temp then in fridge then out and in . Mayo spoils . Rum is any spirit made from a sugar cane plant which makes is very versatile. Three of Strong uses all organic ingredients that include sugar cane, molasses, slow fermenting yeast and locally sourced water. They do not use any artificial flavors or colors.I enjoyed the tour and of the distillery and learned about the process for making rum.After their tasting session, I found their spiced rum to be one of the best I have ever had. Ordered the chicken shawarma and beef shawarma sandwiches, gyro sandwich, lamb shank plate, beef shawarma salad, and baklava. They included a bowl of smooth tasty lentil curry on the house. I tasted everything. It was all fantastic. I was particularly surprised on how good the lamb shank was and the large portion they gave, as well as how many tomatoes they put in the salad. The lamb shank was on the bone,not shredded. All of the vegetables were fresh and crisp. Everything well seasoned. Their prices are really fair in my opinion. I’m going back soon. The ice cream itself could've been better, they have several creative flavors but they all kind of taste the same (I suspect it's the flavor of dates which I'm guessing is used to sweeten some of them, but it just gives all the flavors a similar sharp cloying, slightly salty taste), and the texture isn't very creamy. If you do go I'd recommend just getting the ice cream and not any toppings because the toppings push it into too sweet territory and detract from the flavors.“

I asked a local friend that I was with and he simply told me to go get a flight in, which I did not hesitate in the least to do.Definitely was worth checking out when in the area. There were a bunch of locals hanging out in there with various brews in their hands. “If you have never seen a JUMBO whoopie pie before, you need to head to Wicked Whoopies. It costs $18 dollars and had icing as thick as 1.5 inches if not more. It feeds 8 people like a cake does. The regular size whoopie pies are great, and there is a large selection, but you will be nearly $3 a pie. To me that's a bit on the pricey side, unless you want to be 10 or more than the price comes down. The occasional indulgence is worth the visit. The pumpkin whoopie is one of my favorites.“
