“We had lunch here. Food was great! The scallop small plate was well seasoned and delicious! Sushi was also good. The miso soup tasted a little interesting but good. They are open for dine-in but stated we had to order at the counter than eat at the table without waiter. I saw only one person working and we were only ones there. She was kind enough to come by and take our orders at the table.“
“I love Chad. Best bartender on earth. If he leaves Kon I'll have a new place to eat on Thursdays. I placed a take out order because I didn't want to spend an hour at the bar. I was exhausted. I gave the blond twenty-something my name and told him I was early for a take out order. He took my name. Chad served me my hot saki as soon as I sat down. 40 minutes later there was no sign of my order. Chad had to tell me it was at the front. The SAME kid who took my NAME, told me i should have told him I was there........“
“This is my favorite Hannaford location, mostly I think because it's right on the water. If I can smell salt in the air at your location, you get an extra star in my book. It's also well stocked and clean, and the staff seems friendly. There are a few issues, like certain items are kind of tucked away in weird spots - the pasta and pasta sauces take up half a liquor/wine aisle, and the bread is hidden in the same aisle as paper products. But I really like this location. I also want to write about the sushi, however. I liked the old sushi provider Hannaford used, Bento Sushi quite a bit. It was good quality, there was a large, interesting selection at the larger stores, and it tasted good. The new provider, Snowfox, I don't like nearly as much. The pieces are not well put together, the prices are higher, there's less variety. Most? of the california rolls are filled with seafood salad instead of crab stick and the fish in the tuna rolls is shredded up weirdly for some reason. The only good thing about Snowfox is the cute mascot. Bring back Bento Sushi please?“
“Love this new location. This is my second time at Benkay and it was another great experience. We enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar and watching rolls be made while we enjoyed our delicious seaweed salads and edamame appetizers. While the nigiri and rolls were delicious, the Japanese ice cream sandwich was something new that I absolutely loved. The mochi ice cream was another great option, hot green tea can warm you up on a cold night, and a great selection of bar drinks can accommodate anyone's preferences. I loved that they offer specials completely different from their menu offerings as well. The service was friendly and the restaurant quiet and enjoyable.“
