Arriving a few minutes after opening on a Saturday, we were promptly seated amidst the festive and incredibly fun Christmas decor, setting the perfect mood for the season. The decorations alone made the visit worthwhile.The food matched the festive atmosphere. I had the mussels and smoked haddock chowder, both had a rich and flavorful taste. The "Zero Proof" mocktail and non-alcoholic beer selection were a pleasant surprise, providing excellent alternatives.Our waitress, Nicole, was not only attentive but also exceptionally kind, adding to the overall positive experience. “Excellent food and beer. We ordered steak tips and fish & chips. The steak tips were cooked exactly as ordered and tasted great, along with the mashed potatoes and chef’s vegetables (Brussels sprouts - not bitter, cooked well). Good serving size for the price, $22. The fish and chips were great too, with the fries being above average compared to most places around. Large portion size on the fish and chips - we asked for it to be split two ways and it arrived on two plates with individual portions and each plate was more than enough. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon so it was quiet, nice seating outside and prompt service.“
“I haven't had a full 5 star experience at a place in a while. This is a restaurant but honestly it felt like so much more than a simple place to sit and be served food. John and Susan, the owners, were great to chat with. The space was decorated with a great vibe. The food was absolutely spectacular with unexpected flavors that were delicious. It's not cheap but it's a great value in my opinion. Highly recommend.“
