“Had a wonderful brunch today with family. As a person who is allergic to tree nuts, sesame and gluten this brunch was amazing. So nice to go out and enjoy the menu of healthy choices with great flavor. I had the Mountie on gluten free bread. So delicious. We will definitely be back again!“

“As someone with celiac, this place is a beacon of hope. It's so nice to never have to worry about being contaminated. Even if you aren't a mutant like me and can eat gluten, the food here is delicious despite being gluten free. It's not just "oh that's good for being gluten free", it's just good. Period. “Charlie's has to be one of my favorite places to eat ever. Super friendly staff, Charlie herself comes by every single time. Wait staff and bartenders are all great. Tracy was our server tonight, possibly the best service we've ever had! The food was also great, especially the mussels and the potato skins. Fried pollack is hand breaded. Smelt battered in house too. Kids Mac and cheese, Charlie brings candy for the kids. What's not to love? If we could, we'd go every week.“

“My favorite time to visit is during the Summer when the beach and outdoor tables are open. They bring in live palm trees, very tall, from Florida . They have live bands often and tiki torches. It’s a great experience to sit in the sun, look out over the lake and take in the sunset with my love… not to mention forget your in Michigan lolParking: During the summertime the parking lot fills up fast. They have staff attendants directing cars to a back parking lot as well.“

Not only did she pop it, lock it, and polka dot it; but she dropped it to the floor and became one of the people in our special birthday group. The entire time we were here she was so attentive, funny, sassy and sweet. A sour patch kid in human form, my partner and I will be back for Brittany. Brittany got the birthday boy two sides of extra shrimp, got everyone multiple rounds of drinks, and entertained us with parts of her life making it a full experience. That may sound silly but it means a lot. Go see Brittany at the bar, I bet she would save your pet like she saved our feral birthday boys dinner.“

“My partner got the smelt which he enjoyed. I got a gyro. Very generous in size. It had a bit of a Kik that surprised me. Waitress was fine. There were only a few other patrons in the restaurant and I find it sad that places that used to be busy and thriving now appear to be struggling. I hope we were just visiting on a slow day.“

Waitress was on top of everyone’s orders and service was exceptional. No other restaurant compares to them. All the restaurants in Michigan need to follow suit with boswick lake inn. Management is doing a phenomenal job.“

“I was looking for a breakfast place on Google Maps around this area and this looked worthy of giving it a shot. Mom ordered a half order of the biscuits and gravy w/ a side of hash browns and I ordered a custom omelette with hash browns, onion, ham, and cheese. Food came out hot and fast! Ginormous fluffy omelette, asked the waitress and she said it's made with SIX eggs! No wonder there's a note in the menu for splitting plates with your s/o Very tasty. My only note is that the onions were a bit crunchy yet and a little strong in flavor- I liked them, but I know not everyone does. I tried a little bit of the gravy and it was also very tasty. Mom said she knows good biscuits and gravy, and agreed that these were delicious. She also ordered hot tea and was able to take the rest to go. Although the interior looked like it hadn't been updated since 1981 when the establishment became the "Home of The Big Breakfast" as noted on the menu, it was very neat and tidy and clean inside the restaurant. Just need a laminator for their menus.“

“We are a Greek family and love the Greek dishes that Leo's Coney Island offers. We have dined there frequently, often bring friends. The food is always good and the service fantastic. That being said; however, we have decided not to dine there any longer during the cold months, as the owner chooses to keep the dining room quite frigid. We heat our home at 68 degrees and are comfortable at that temp. We have tried mutliptle visits to Leo's Coney Island this winter...and each time the dining room has always been uncomfortablly chilly. When we pay to go out to eat, dining with our winter coats on and still being cold is not a relaxing or enjoyable dining experience. We gave it another try last night visiting around 5:30pm (hoping the furnace was turned up). The dining area was extremely C-O-L-D! This could be why there were not many customers there? We asked the waitress if the heat could be turned up, and she replied, "No, the only person allowed to adjust the temperature is the owner, and he is not here". NOTE to Owner: Saving money by turning down the heat in the cold of winter does not provide a pleasant dining experience for your customers and certainly cannot be good for your business! My husband Damion Payne and I live in Byron Center and thus is one of our go to places for spur of the moment dinner on Weekend or Weekday or for cocktails. We like sitting in the bar area so we can watch the game...March Madness this past weekend. Food was great and drinks too. The Bartender was great we were there @ 7:30 to close. My only complaint was some of the staff started setting up for Easter Brunch so it was quite distracting as we tried to enjoy each other's company and our food/drinks. They also left thr door to patio open and it was cold and uncomfortable. We get thr need to prepare for the next day but we really thought that should be done once your guest sitting by the doors (us) we're finished or after closing.
