My tummy is always humming with happiness when I step out. Definitely a hidden treasure on the Northeast side of Ann Arbor.“
“We love Chapala in downtown Ann Arbor. Our party came in early on a Saturday afternoon, just ahead of dinner rush (which we highly recommend) and by the time we left there was a line out the door! Which does not surprise me, the staff is friendly and inviting, fun atmosphere making you forget you’re in Michigan and feel like you’re drinking margaritas on the sunny shores of Mexico. The chips were warm and fresh, the salsa has the right amount of spice, guacamole is fresh and delicious. On this visit I enjoyed the Steak Quesadilla for the first time (very tasty!) and our entire party was pleased with their meals as well. Last but certainly not least the margaritas are great. If you’re looking for a Mexican dining experience, Chapala stands out above most others. I can’t wait to come back!“
“Literally the best Mexican food we’ve found in Ann Arbor, by far. We come from out west where you can find great Mexican food anywhere you look, but out here the options are limited and we had given up on finding a legit spot until Cosa Sabrosa came along. The only complaint I have is that so far we’ve had issues with them actually being open when they’re supposed to be. Half the time (recently) we’ve tried to order from them, they’re not actually open, even though their hours say they are. Other than that, bomb food. Seriously. And well portioned and price to boot!“
“So far I've only tried the quesabirria tacos but oh my gosh these were good! I'm looking forward to trying some of their other menu items, but I don't think anything will top these Burria tacos with dipping jus. So cheesy and meaty... the tacos themselves weren't spicey but they did come with some pepper on the side as well as some radishes and a lime wedge.“
“Tried this place on a whim. The food was insanely good and made fresh. There were options for all ages. I think I’ve found my new favorite Mexican spot. There’s new seating inside as well. The staff is super nice. We can’t wait to come back.“
“My spot for some tacos in the AA area.Great food, super friendly staff- they wait patiently while I practice my spanish. The quesabirria and consomme are spectacular, the garnishes were super fresh and the flavors are just amazing. The other options are delicious too, my favorites are the pastor and birria. Price is fair, a must go!!“
“One of the best Korean chicken in Ann Arbor! I used to get takeout from here all the time. Their small popcorn chicken is fairly priced and has so much food that it's enough for 2 whole meals. While soy garlic is good, I recommend getting half soy garlic half spicy so that the sauces can combine together for some delicious bites. A lot of my friends also LOVE their bulgogi tacos.“
“We enjoyed everything except the carne asada tacos, which were bland, and the meat was dry with little flavor. It felt like boiled meat and not juicy grilled steak. However, our other tacos, queso cheese, and salsa were fantastic. The price is pretty reasonable, too.“
“My first experience with Tmaz Taqueria was a Doordash delivery, and both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. We loved the quesadillas! We got a pastor and a campachano, and both were delicious and we would order them again. We split a grilled vegetable with red salsa and jalapeno enchilada meal. This was another winner. It did have some spice to it despite being labeled as mild. The pupusas we ordered were less successful. We tried a bean and cheese, and a chicharron and cheese. Both lacked flavor and just seemed kind of nondescript. I wouldn't order these again. We ordered some guacamole and chips. The guacamole was excellent, but I didn't care for the lackluster chips. Not something I would go out of my way for.“
“I’ve been wanting to try Moe’s for a while, so we finally made a 30 minute drive to try it and it was even better than I expected. It’s very similar to Chipotle and Qdoba, but tastes wayyyy better. It is a little more expensive, but it’s so worth it. Their queso is the best queso I have ever had. They also had some fresh ingredients that other places don’t have, like fresh white onions and fresh jalapeños. Our burritos also came with a pretty big side of chips at no extra charge. And the employees were all so nice and helpful. We loved it, and we will definitely be back“
“Excellent environment! Very familiar. Servers are very polite, friendly, helpful! Food tastes very good. Good cocktails, and other drinks variety.Just one observation: restrooms are not labeled. So anybody can use any available restroom. I think women should have their own one. It's kind of awkward to see men leaving a restroom that a lady is been waiting to use! Women are delicate! They should have their privacy respected!“
“I love this restaurants food and music selection, every time I go I find myself dancing ??. I appreciate the workers, they provide good service and are very friendly. I enjoy the atmosphere overall. The food is also very good, always a large enough portion to take home.Parking is large enough for busy days so I also enjoy that from this restaurant.“
“First time coming to this restaurant and I will definitely be back! I ordered the chicken tacos and really enjoyed them, along with the house salsa which was good, but nothing special. The drinks were a hit and the pineapple mojito was pretty good! The staff was great and even though we came on a busy Saturday night, we were seated within 40 minutes and had a great, attentive server. The only thing that I would recommend is maybe a larger menu. I liked what we ordered but there weren't a ton of options and most of the menu is just variations of tacos. But a great option overall for Mexican food!“

“My fiancé and I went here last night and it quickly became our new favorite "comfort" Mexican restaurant. The margs are delicious and not overly sweet, the portions are huge, and the flavors were serendipitously tasteful. I noticed there were plenty of vegetarian options too (including the wet burrito pictured below). The service was quick and excellent. Unrelated to food, but the murals are also really cool and contribute to the overall cozy atmosphere of this place.“
