“Cute little place in downtown Pontiac. Loved the NY theme with the colorful lights. Excited to go back when it's warm out so we can check out the rooftop. Definitely enjoyed the music videos playing on all screens. Bartenders were extremely nice and attentive. Drinks and food were fairly priced. We loved the chickfilla sandwich. The toppings were fresh and the bun was super soft. Bang bang sauce was perfectly spicy. The famous bowl poutine had a lot of cheese and gravy. The chicken was crunchy. The sandwich and regular size poutine was enough for 2.“

“The burgers really are worth coming in for, they’re really tasty. Beer prices are a bit higher than I’d expect for this type of bar. Always interesting conversation with fellow patrons at the bar.Overall, a fantastic neighborhood spot for a quick bite and beer when you’re fending for yourself for dinner.“

“Sandy’s has been around a long time. Friends have been going there for years and we finally made it there ourselves. Great friendly service with traditional bar food. While we did not have coney dogs, heard from others that is what they are known for. We will be back to sit at the bar for drinks and a burger.“

“We've been going here a lot lately because it's awesome!! The decor is cozy and comfortable like a log cabin. The service is spot on and the food is delicious!! As we've gone here quite a bit, we've sampled a good portion of their menu and I can honestly say that everything we've had has been great!! And it appears to not be a secret because it's always busy!! Just a great place to be!!“

“What a wonderful experience! If you're looking for a great food and unmatched service this is the place. Everything we ordered was presented in a fantastic manner and was so delicious! If you are in Detroit, you need to find this place and go there. Thanks Mike, you really delivered!“
“A special day. A special night. Couldn't be better. Arranged by our son and daughter. The waiter did everything, except eat our food. The wines were a delight and the steak and salmon were prepared with artistry. He guided us with each entre and the salad was shared by us with dressing aside. Wine, was by the glass and was both red and white and light, semidry and elegant. Our perfect dinner ended the perfect evening. Thank you 220 Merrill for a wonderful 50th.“

“Mia is incredible. We have done birthdays at Mia’s for the last 3 years. The Halloween party and Karaoke nights are so much fun. It’s great to see everyone so involved and happy. We love the food and drinks! She helped us set up for the parties we’ve had and the staff always makes sure the bellies are full and the drinks are flowing. It’s impossible to not have a good time here. We’ve had breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner and it never disappoints.“

“The fish & chips is excellent. Possibly the best I've ever had. The blackened Mango Mahi is also very good. I haven't had anything else but I'd bet you probably couldn't get a bad meal at this place. The only thing I don't like is the inside dining room is small and usually VERY noisy. The dining room under the tent is always chilly in the fall and winter. Every server is always attentive, professional, and hospitable.“

“The huge selection of games they have here cannot be beat. The food and drink combined with reserving a table can make the experience slightly pricey, but if you factor in the gaming options, it makes the price feel far more worth it!I love their fries, their specialty drinks, and most of the food I've tried, but there's just one food item I wouldn't recommend. I've ordered their 4 square personal pizza a number of times, and almost every time, it has come out burnt enough that it no longer tastes very good to me. I kept trying to give it another chance, but I think I'll be stick to the other great food they have to offer in the future!“

“Hamburger pizza was amazing. Good food. Good prices. Good people. I thought it was a restaurant. It's more like a bar. Tall chairs, tall bar tables. Pool tables. Outside patio is neat. Not really a family restaurant. More for the guys or friends. Bartenders are more warm towards men than a woman. She will get served last. So don't expect traditional service. Oh, my girlfriend asked the lady bartender if they were hiring. She strongly said no. Then my girl goes outside & sees 2 now hiring signs outside. lol.“

“Went after work on a Thursday night. Place was pretty busy but they sat us right away anyhow. I ordered the potato soup which was super yummy, I ended up saving it so I could bring it home. I also ordered the Nachos which was an appetizer, it was pretty big and I was not able to finish it by myself. Chips and flavor were delicious. The waitress was really nice and friendly as well. Place was clean.“

“An absolute staple. Renshaw is easily my favorite bar around. Their food is as good as "bar food" gets, and you truly just cannot beat a $2.50 beer. Add pull tabs AND TouchTunes? I'm in heaven. Couldn't recommend this enough. Service has always been above average, even when going with an entire softball team after our games.“

“Loved it here. I went with a work group. This was actually my second time here. First time was back in 2022 for a Christmas party. Anyway, We participated in a bar crawl on 2/17/24 for Jess. It was nice music. They also did a raffle! The service was fast. The place was packed. I kept ordering the grapefruit basil martini aka the duchess. It was really good. The staff was polite and useful. They had great wings also. I'll be back to try those loaded waffle fries one day lol.“

“We got there 11:30pm on a Thursday night and this place was still serving food and drinks. We didn’t order any cocktails, but the server/bartender looked like he could really serve up some great drinks. The variety of boozed stacked on the shelf behind the bar looked like a good assortment with high quality selections. So glad this place was still open and the kitchen was still serving take out orders and in house dining at this hour.Music was relaxed lounge and there’s about 4 large TVs in the space to watch sports. Outdoor patio seating is also provided with umbrellas. This place is a perfect size and we were pleased with the service and the food. Inside has about 35-40 seats including the bar. Will be back next time I’m in Shelby for some late eats. The menu really has everything you could want with a Good selection to choose from.“

“Banger! Sundays are standing room only. If you’re not there as soon as they open, you’re probably gonna have to stand or possibly not get in. This place was nice. Neighborhood vibe, safe, fun and super entertaining. The DJ was jammin all night long, watching folks ballroom and hustle was exciting watch. My car was safe with the parking attendants out front, and well lit. Check them out, you won’t regret it.“
“Over 25 crowd (most patrons were 40s +). There is a $15 minimum to use a card so if you're just having 1 drink, bring cash. No cover. Pool tables and bar. I was told they no longer sell food at this Bar & Grill but I didn't confirm if the kitchen closes very early, is temporarily closed or closed indefinitely. There is outdoor space and also a food truck up the alley behind the businesses on Grand River. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of seating. It's not huge but there was a perfect number of people to enjoy yourself and not be crowded with people breathing COVID unknowingly. Old school music with some hustle tracks thrown in. I would go back.“

“Quite a bit more upscale than I had been expecting, yet the happy hour prices were great, as was the food and service. The bar tender couldn’t have been more friendly. The steak tips were $10 (happy hour) and were fantastic and larger portion than I had expected. My only beef (haha) was the beer selection.Kid-friendliness: There are better options if you have little ones.“

“Stopped here while staying at a hotel nearby. Was told it would be a 20 minute wait but ended up getting seated in less than five minutes. (On a busy Saturday night). The host and waiter were extremely pleasant! Me and my guest had buffalo boneless wings, and the chicken tacos. Both were delicious! We also had a couple cocktails, which were also crafted perfectly! Overall, it was a great experience; one that I would definitely enjoy again!“

“Vinsetta Garage offers a unique dining experience, primarily due to its intriguing setting and ambiance. Housed in a converted 1919 garage on Woodward Avenue in Berkley, the restaurant impresses with its blend of historical charm and modern industrial chic decor. The interiors, featuring exposed brick walls and eclectic automotive paraphernalia, create a cool and inviting atmosphere that makes it a standout in the area. However, while the aesthetics of Vinsetta Garage score high, the food does not quite match up. The menu, which aims to offer a contemporary twist on classic American comfort foods, unfortunately falls short in execution. The dishes, ranging from burgers to mac and cheese, were underwhelming during my visit. The flavors seemed muted and the presentations lacked the creativity one might expect from such a visually appealing venue.Service was efficient and the staff were friendly, adding a positive note to the overall experience. Yet, it’s hard to overlook the culinary disappointments. The restaurant thrives as a social hotspot, perfect for grabbing drinks with friends in a stylish setting, but those seeking a memorable meal might find it lacking. In conclusion, Vinsetta Garage is worth a visit for its unique atmosphere and history, but it may not satisfy those with high expectations for their culinary experience.“
