“My mom and I stopped in to pick up a carryout after running errands. Wow! The service was incredible. The cashier/waitress was friendly and took our order right away. She was cheerful and polite. Within a few minutes our order was ready to go. The other waitress walked out to-go order over to us. Very good customer service and our lunch was fantastic, hot and fresh. This is great to know since we're over in the area quite frequently. Plus, I saw in the cooler they had slices of cake and pie that looked beyond delicious. We'll be back soon to try the other goodies! Highly recommend!“

“This place is good. I gave it 4 stars because on occasion they get the order wrong. My go to order is the chocolate extreme I get this almost every time. Recently they gave me one but it had almost no chocolate. I was surprised and thought they gave me the wrong order but all the brownie chunks and chocolate bits where in there it was just missing the chocolate ice cream. I'm assuming the worker was new. But this has happened to me twice so far and im sure it's happened to others.“

“Absolutely one of my favorite bars in Metro Detroit. The basement is very comfortable and usually each night there is a different DJ spinning vinyl. Market rate cocktails, wine and beer. What makes this place remarkable is that besides paying for a drink, it comes close to being over a friends house or your own.“

The burgers are extremely strong here and are noticeably fresh with nice, subtle pickles that don't overpower everything else on the bun. I say this being a person who could probably live exclusively off hamburgers.I think the french fries are good, but could be even better. They're definitely not bad, but they're not quite as fantastic as the burgers. The onion rings however, are probably the best I’ve ever had.Being a family-owned restaurant, you can feel good knowing you're not sacrificing quality or affordability to support Rolling Stoves too, which is a nice change as there are a lot of similar restaurants that struggle to be worth their price.“

“This diner is me and my father's FAVORITE place EVER. We go there almost every weekend, and the food is always delicious! The employees are always very nice and know us, and the drawings left by one of the employees that are at the register glass are lovely. “Best burgers in Michigan, and I mean that!Compared to more expensive burgers at steakhouses and family run Pubs in the area, they still win. Everything from the perfect buns to the fresh meat, everything is delicious.I’ve tried several versions, but my favorites are the Detroit Coney and the Truffle burgers.I crave their chili cheese fries, even though all fries are waffle cut they’re almost better that way. I wish they had more options for sides but the burgers really shine. They even have a pretzel bun option.Recently I moved closer, but previously had them Doordashed over to Shelby. “I have not been to an A&W drive up in a while. I was so disappointed not to have a window tray with a frosty mug of root beer. Just the standard cup with a plastic lid and straw. Maybe that is the way it is anymore at the driveups at A&W. Too bad. Tastes the same but not the same, you know.“

“I passed The Hut a few months ago & have been wanting to try it. Well, today was the day. I was a little surprised to see the parking lot fairly full on a rainy Friday, but once I went inside, I saw why. Yes, the place is a little worn down, with tape patching the booths. But I think it's because they are busy and have a lot of customers, so they don't have a lot of time to spend on decor -- although, there are signs and photos scattered throughout the restaurant to look at. I was warmly greeted as soon as I walked in. I've never been there before, but I was treated just as nicely as the numerous regulars who were there. It is apparent that the young women who are the servers truly enjoy their job, their customers and each other -- and I made sure to mention it to them as I left. On to the food. Traditional diner fare, which I love. I got the slider special, expecting 1) just one burger and 2) that it would be small. Nope, these were good sized burgers, and I could only eat one. I chose onion rings (which I almost always prefer to fries -- getting in the veggies, ya know ;) ) and, as others have said, they were REALLY good. I also mentioned THAT to the server, and she said they are hand battered. I left feeling like, well, I'd been given a warm hug on a chilly day. I will be adding The Hut to my rotation of restaurants.“

“I work near by and stop by frequently. FRIENDLY-ISH customer service (they sometimes assume you should know the menu as well whe as them?) GREAT food options. But the quality varies. And so does the wait times. Not the most efficient. Will I come back YES, AND recommend YES. “My super significant other loves apple bees. She has a nostalgic filter that often brings it up for a dinner pick. Although for a tried and true representation of that child like family fun or the aforementioned nostalgia; The Auburn hills branch represents it the best! Compliments to the whole staff, kitchen and floor staff included. Everyone was very friendly and complimentary to our outfits as we were coming in and leaving. Waiters and waitresses alike, that weren't even ours seem to appreciate us as well! Last week I had a horrible experience with another local restaurant (pizza place) that kept my family waiting for over 3 hours for our food. After much back and forth I finally cancelled that order and placed an order at Papa's... were I probably should've just started at. “10/10 restaurant! TLDR: Big portions, request Scott as your server, and have the burger!Our server tonight (Scott) was amazing. My mom and I had come in a few weeks ago and our server (a girl with a braid, we saw her again tonight) was OK but not the best. She seemed uninterested in us/our experience, beverages took a long time to come out (even waters), and we felt ignored throughout the meal. We didn’t need much so this was OK, but it did stick out to us. However, the food was obviously so good that we were drawn back in. We returned tonight and had the best time! The food might’ve even been better than last time (which is a high bar to reach), and our server was quick with beverages, knowledgeable about the menu, and seemed willing to go the extra step for us to be happy. He talked my mom into having a dessert (which was huge but very delicious, we ended up splitting it!). I haven’t seen her so happy from a meal in a long time. We absolutely will be returning with no hesitations and we will request Scott if he’s working and has room for us! P.S. The host is also very accommodating, we have bad backs so the booths don’t work well for us and she happily placed us at a table with no issues.“

“Stopped here while staying at a hotel nearby. Was told it would be a 20 minute wait but ended up getting seated in less than five minutes. (On a busy Saturday night). The host and waiter were extremely pleasant! Me and my guest had buffalo boneless wings, and the chicken tacos. Both were delicious! We also had a couple cocktails, which were also crafted perfectly! Overall, it was a great experience; one that I would definitely enjoy again!“

“Stellar sliders, solid shakes, and chill atmosphereI ordered a double-cheeseburger slider and vanilla shake.The Slider: the bun is not cakey but rather a soft sponge-type bread that absorbs the juice of the burger well. This leaves a great meat-to-bun ratio, and the cheese melt is glorious, covering every part of the patty. I witnessed the maestro on the grill as he made my sliders, and he used the tried and true "pinch and pull" method of lifting the patty off the grill. I then saw him scrap the melted cheese on the grill and add it to the burger. It was a marvelous process to witness and a magical taste to experience. The sliders were hot, cheezy, and accompanied by caramelized onions and a touch of ketchup added for some sweetness. I was highly impressed by the double-cheeseburger sliders I ordered, so much so that I ate 5 in total.The Shake: It was creamy and delicious, and it was just right in that Goldilocks zone of not being too thick and not too milky.I ate lunch on a Sunday, and there were only a few other diners, so it was a very calm and chill environment to enjoy my food in. The service was prompt and respectful. “A pretty decent diner seemingly stuck in the middle of a restaurant/ fast food void on Grand River. The grilled ham and cheese sandwich was the best that I've ever had. Who would have thought that you could have a stacked ham and cheese with mayo, lettuce and tomato, coupled with a huge portion of pickles for only $7.95? Last week there was no sauce, and I always order extra on the side, but the little cup was only half full. So, no sauce on the platter, and barely any on the side. This week there were more onions than gyro/chicken. Barely any meat; very meager portion. And still, side of sauce only half full. Super disappointed. Phenomenal Coney dog and great little hamburgers The service was fast and friendly, it took about three minutes to make my food Don't let the looks fool you, this is a small restaurant, but moves a lot of customers in and out at lunchtime. “Visiting from Miami it's important to stop at Big boy my Michigan staple. Have to say this particular location was on top of it, manager visited the table even though he was cooking in the kitchen. Two servers checked on how we were doing which is very uncommon these days. Great job with hospitality. My only comment would be is for those tables sitting right outside your expo window calling for your servers by name with the order up, could probably be done more professionally with a bell that got dinged to let them know orders are ready to be run... Just saying from one hospitality person to another... ?“

“This is a regular lunch stop for myself and my colleagues. The atmosphere is Cheers like and the location is close to work. The staff have always been friendly, helpful, and happy to have us there. They have a wide selection of alcohol and non alcoholic drinks and are good with suggestions on them. All the meals I have had there are excellent, I've never had an issue with anything I have ordered. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
