“Cedarland Bakery is a local gem that never fails to impress. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality that instantly makes you feel at home. Unlike many other establishments, Cedarland offers ample seating, making it the perfect spot to enjoy your treats in comfort. Speaking of treats, the bakery goods here are nothing short of divine. Whether you're craving flaky pastries, decadent cakes, or freshly baked bread, Cedarland delivers on all fronts. However, it's the savory options that truly set this bakery apart. The pepperoni roll is an absolute must try, boasting a perfect balance of spicy pepperoni and melt in your mouth dough. Additionally, the meat and cheese selection is a carnivore's dream, featuring high quality ingredients that elevate every bite. What sets Cedarland apart from other bakeries is its unwavering commitment to authenticity. This dedication to authenticity shines through in every aspect of the bakery, from the flavors of the baked goods to the welcoming atmosphere. As someone who values authenticity above all else, I truly admire Cedarland Bakery for staying true to its roots. In a world where so many things are constantly changing, it's refreshing to find a place that offers a taste of tradition with every visit. If you're in search of a bakery that combines exceptional quality with genuine warmth, look no further than Cedarland Bakery.“
“I was in town on Spring Break with my family and we wanted something we normally don't get back at home in Nashville. These folks at the Sahara Restaurant were very welcoming, kind, and respectful. Oh, and they make pretty good food, too!Kafta/Kofte has been my favorite from the Middle Eastern/Mediterranean cuisines and it was a shame that my beat kafta/kofte place back home went out of business ten years ago. When I saw it on the menu here, I had to order it. This was the best kafta I ever had!“
“Wow this place was on POINT with its food! I have never tasted this good of tender meat ever! When I went there with my family, we decided to get Fahsah and the Sheba for 4, which is WAY MORE than 4 people can eat. The Fahsah came out piping hot and the meat just melted in your mouth! I couldn’t get enough of it! Then the Sheeba for 4 was a lot of food FOR 5 people! Plan accordingly if you don’t want extra, but the dish was awesome. Their were a mix of lamb and meats, potatoes, and rice. All the meats were hot and tender, and the potatoes were cooked perfectly, And the rice was just on point and brought the whole dish together! The service was AWESOME! The waiters and waitresses were extremely nice and helpful, and were ready to help. The Atmosphere could be better though. The building isn’t being maintained at its best, shown by the hole in the celling. It could be maintained better, but the food makes up for it! Would come again!“
“Came here for lunch and ordered the combo for two with hummus and fattoush salad, as well as jallab for our drink. It was all delicious, and the spices and garnishes in the combo really made it taste special. I'd say it was pretty good value too, given the portions and prices. It was our first time trying Syrian food, and we'd definitely go out of our way to eat it here again!“
“I came here just because of the reviews and it didn’t disappoint! The service is perfect, good atmosphere, the Hummus was the best one I’ve ever had. The waitress Amani is super kind, she will greet you with a beautiful smile! The Chicken with vegetables and rice serves 2 or 3 people. Definitely a place to return!!“
“I can't believe this place doesn't have more reviews. We came here to break our fast, the line looked pretty long initially but it moved so quickly. The service was fast, friendly, and homey. This hole in the wall had one of the best rotisserie chickens I've had in a while, and the toum and pickles made it a perfect bite. If you're looking for good food with no frills and kind service, you'll find it here :)“
“03/02/24: Late review, but nonetheless, came looking for something different and decided to try this place on said date. It has some nice decor and is clean. Waitstaff was attentive and checked in occasionally, despite it being peak hours. Dined in around 8pm. I got in quickly since it was just me, but there can be a bit of a wait as there seemed to be a lot of families(a couple of groups of families were waiting), so be ready if you decide to dine in late afternoon/early evening.Food was fantastic. The starter flatbread with the two garlic aioli(?) sauces(normal + spicy) was hot, fresh, and palatable. Got the Fattoush Salad, the Malek Stir-Fry(chicken), and the Chicken Sajji with a strawberry smoothie. All dishes were delicious and full of flavor. The salad was a bit too vinaigrette-ty for my tastes though. The poultry dishes were savory and the Sajji had that right tinge of heat.“
“I had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at Aden, and the Zurbiyan dish was an absolute delight. The Zurbiyan dish at Aden's brunch was incredibly tasty and delicious. Every bite was a burst of flavor that left my taste buds dancing with delight.“
“Customer service was great! The cheese and zaatar manakeesh weee very big and decent! The fool was very flavorful and feta as well. I wish they made tea fresh instead of the tea bags, but otherwise great food and great customer service! The environment was very spacious as well.“
“Kakouche is amazing always no matter whichever one you choose the pizza one and the sujouk one are my personal favorite. Just make sure you order before 12 because this is a very popular item and the bread runs out fast. No complaints authentic sandwiches and baked items. Tarboush gets 5 stars. Quality ingredients, recipes, and customer service. One of my favorite places in Dearborn.“
“I enjoyed dining in at the butchers grill. The restaurant is clean and feels inviting. I enjoyed the food however the chicken needs work, it’s always too dry. The grilled combo, rueben egg roll, and mashed potato with mushroom sauce are all great. Will be back.“
“Ramadan mubarak! We just had our iftar at this restaurant, and we really enjoyed it. This is our third time in michigan, and we just heard about this Yamani restaurant, so we decided to try it. The food was delicious, and the people there are very nice.. many thanks to Mohmmad ( Iraqi guy) he was very nice and patient ?“
“This was a decent place. Food was good but a bit dry and they use a mix of dark and white meat chicken for their shawarma. We asked for a lot of garlic sauce and they delivered without charging extra which was a plus. Try the loaded shawarma, it’s unique and delicious. This seems to be more of a take out place but they have a small amount of seating. Service was honestly pretty bad but it was the end of the night and was a little annoying that I had to get up and walk over to ask for anything but the tip reflected it.“
“Cedarland has been our family’s go-to restaurant for Middle Eastern comfort food for nearly 30 years. From amazing lentil soups to fattoush, Kafta, and an impossible-to-beat core menu of shawarma, grape leaves, hummous and tabbouli, Cedarland will make your taste buds happy, fill your appetite and not break your wallet.“
“Brought family from Indiana to check Dearborn.Being of Lebanese descent, wanted to find an authentic. Got a haircut and barber told me to go there. I loved the place. Everything is made to order. No reheat or microwave. The meat pie more authentic than one In Beirut. So much flavor and excellent spices. The mixed cheese akawi and mozzarella tasted out of this world.Definitely coming back again and again.Made a huge order to go. Hussein and his Dad were super friendly.“
“Tried this restaurant last night. They apologized for the wait because they were very busy and we were told the food would take a little longer. The wait for both was slightly longer, but it so worth the wait. The food was incredible and and plenty of it. I had the chicken mixed with pine nuts, rice with almonds, grilled vegetables and hummus. I don't come from around here but I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.“
“La Burma and La Roma Damas have the best shawarma, and Al-Makdous deserves all the money. It is better than their restaurant, Your Legs is Madous, and the cleanliness and elegance are brought from Damascus. The tradition and broasted meat you will only find in their delicacies are as beautiful as you can imagine.“
“They are always busy in the morning but if you place an order and give them 10-15 minutes it’ll be done and ready to go! Great people and great food. It’s a two in one and you should definitely try there zaatar cheese and veggie mashrooh mixed by far my favorite dish!“
“We went to celebrate my husband's birthday! The food was wonderful. The service was great! They turned out lights and surprised him with a brownie and sang a great birthday song.Kid-friendliness: Grandson order off kids menu. Chicken tenders. Tasted great“
“I can confidently say that Tuhamas stands out as the undisputed champion of meat shawarma. With friendly service and an inviting atmosphere, Tuhama’s has undoubtedly earned its reputation as the go-to destination for the best meat shawarma in Dearborn.“
“My husband and I got married about six months ago at the Townsend Hotel. I want to provide a personal message of gratitude on behalf of my entire family to Mr.Talal and his team at Habib. From the hor d’oeurves to the main meal, the food was truly spectacular. I can also not speak highly enough about the professionalism and personalized service that Habib Cuisine provided. Our guests still rave about the food that evening. For this reason and many more, our family will remain loyal patrons and continue to do business with them.“
“The roti and vegetarian curry seltah are awesome! First time had such a dish in Mediterranean restaurant with delicious okra as well! Decent vegetarian options!!The service was a bit slow and not very well organized! We had some delay in getting order. But the food was quite good so don’t complain about it much!“

“Absolutely our favorite Iraqi restaurant for over a decade. Place extremely busy dining in and take out customers at dinner time. A very large interior and patio makes perfect for social distance order. Got our favorite the platter for 3 which fed us with leftovers mega deal. It starts with Lentils Soup n Fatoush Salad absolutely Wonderful. Then a mega platter of Meats be Iraqi Kebabs, Chicken Tikka, Iraqi Gus Beef, Chicken Shawarma, Chicken Tawook n Chicken Cream Chops. The very best deal of any Middle Eastern restaurant around metro Detroit. Also come with Platter of Rice, Bread, Iraqi Beans n Eggplant. So 40 bucks feeds a family of four Unique Meats, Great Service and flavorful Meats. Most likely you be only non Iraqi folks in the place, think place the real deal. See great reviews Yelp, Google n Facebook Enjoy. #arbeelkabab #iraqifood #iraqikebab #chickentikka #supportlocalbusiness #downriverfriendseat #motorcitymunchers“
“Best iftar buffet . First time here , i heard good things about this place . Making a reservation was easy and we were able to get in the same day . Service was great , the food was authentic and delicious. Will definitely be back . Highly recommended“
“When I’m looking for something quick, fast, and not too high in calories, I opt for a short meal. With plenty of protein and super thin pita bread, it’s just perfect, especially at the newly opened Shawarma spot on Schaefer Avenue. Traditionally, Lebanese Shawarma consists of meat, onions, parsley, and perhaps tomatoes or pickles, all topped with white sauce. What sets this place apart is their roasted tomatoes, which give the Shawarma a unique and delicious twist. It’s amazing how a slight change in ingredients can completely transform the taste! I highly recommend this spot, although those with big appetites might need to order two sandwiches since they’re quite small.“
“went and got a chicken shawarma from the food truck on Grand River and livernois, I wasn't pleased with it I'm not used to my chicken shawarma being made like a panini. the chicken was a little dry and he could have put more garlic on it. but I'll be back to try other things. I'm just not used to my chicken shawarma being hard or crunchy.“
“Quite delicious, great food, Chicken always cooked great not raw like other places, the best falafel in town, hasam is really a great person, running that place like a true leader, very professional, the only thing is I dislike the parking lot, which is why I don't come as often, the place is a bit small, but fun active atmosphere at the same time can't complain, hands down, best farouj in the world the recipe is out of this world, best arabic food, and may I add very clean most importantly-?❤️“
“Take a trip to Sam City in East Dearborn for a classic Yemeni meal a most excellent experience. Sana'a's Old City One of the oldest continuously-inhabited cities in the world (others being Jericho, Damascus and Aleppo), Sana'a is believed to have been founded by Shem, the son of Noah. As a result, the city has the unlikely nickname of "Sam City". A absolutely explosion of flavor many Yemeni folks drive from around metro Detroit to enjoy a taste of home. I asked our superstar waitress Katie Rose to have chef make me special 20 buck Yemen Food platter OMG fantastic with half Yemeni Chicken, Tender Moist Lamb on a bed of the Famous Yemen Rice and hot sizzling bowl of Saltah Saltah (Arabic: سلتة) is a Yemeni dish. It is widely eaten in northern parts of the country. It is mainly served for lunch. The base is a brown meat stew called maraq, a dollop of fenugreek froth, and sahawiq or sahowqa (a mixture of chillies, tomatoes, garlic, and herbs ground into a salsa). A couple fresh hot outta the oven, Malawah Bread is one of the many kinds of bread eaten in Yemen. What makes it unique is that it is layered and folded with butter or ghee inside which makes it very tasty. She had a special Yemeni Chicken topped salad. Katie brought a couple cups of deliciousness Yemeni Tea Free for everyone a custom of true Yemeni restaurant. Easy to find large parking lot in rear. A must visit for a unique cultural experience like no other. #yemeni #malawahbread #dearborncitygov #sanaayemen #letsguide #motorcitymunchers“
“Phenomenal. Delicious. Tasty! We enjoyed this meal thoroughly. The service was fast and the vibes were great. Everyone was enjoying and I cannot recommend Al-Ameer enough. This place has been around for many years and is always a reliable and delicious choice. I can't wait to go back!“

“The chicken shawarma was decent, but we were disappointed to find the chicken rather dry, as evident in the photo. Despite this, we appreciated the generous amount of garlic sauce generously spread throughout the sandwich. In addition, the fact that they provided extra sauce without prompting was a nice touch. While it was tasty overall, we do wish the chicken had been more moist and seasoned.“
“I love baba ghanoush with a fiery passion. This place had great baba ghanoush! Delicious lamb falling off the bone. And fantastic shawarma chicken AND beef! Don’t like the looks fool you, this place is rocking. The service was fantastic, all of the staff was incredibly friendly and made extra sure we were satisfied with our food. I WILL be coming back for sure.“
