“7/4/23 There was no food in the lake house so Zach drove us to East Tawas for lunch. It took us a while to find parking because Tawas was hosting the July 4th parade and the streets were crowded and many roads were blocked. When we were able to find parking, we walked to the main downtown area and decided to get lunch at Mangos Mexican Cuisine. Zach had mentioned he had eaten here before, but I was happy to oblige to eat anywhere at that point because I was so hungry. Inside the restaurant, it was nice and cool and there was no wait. As soon as we sat down, our waiter brought over two tall glasses of ice water, chips and salsa. The chips were study and didn't fall apart when dipping and the salsa had a nice kick to it. Here's what we ordered: - Burrito supreme with chicken (mine) - Enchiladas verdes with chicken The plates came out in 10 minutes. For my dish, there was more sour cream than I would have liked, but the food was good overall and Zach cleaned his entire plate. The service was fast and efficient.“

“Me and my wife went last night to watch the Detroit lions get their first playoff win in over 30 yrs. I'm from down state but the bar was cool. Matt the server was on top of getting drinks change for the pool table and overall was a pleasant dude. We had a good time and look forward to trying some food. I hear its pretty good. Worst thing is the bar closes at 9pm. But good times were had“

“I believe this place used to be a small tiki hut behind the holiday inn sometime in 80's or 90's they built a more permanent foundation and of course expanded it ... after it closes u can enjoy songs around a fire on the beach meet ppl from all over the place and share stories ... my grandmother introduced me to this area over 40 yrs “

“My wife and I ate lunch here. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The restaurant makes their own craft beer and both of the ones I consumed were excellent. Definitely recommend this place and the view from the restaurant is amazing.“

“This place was awesome! The lady running things today was great. It looked like only 2 people working, one at the counter and one in the kitchen. So the one running the counter was over seeing are throwing, bowling, and waiting tables and I thought she did a great job. We had some really good food we threw some axes and we took some food to go. We will definitely be back!“
