“This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant!! Every time I'm in town, I must visit to get the Almond Boneless Chicken and the yeast bread rolls. You used to be able to dine it, but after COVID that changed. The staff is always nice to me, but that's because I am always nice. If you get smart, expect them to return the favor. They have been at this location for over 20 years and is respected in the community. If you are ever on 8mile/Kelly, definitely check them out!“

In these tough times with food cost, there's no skimping here - I expect to have seen my shrimp fried rice with shrimp that you need a magnifying glass. These were whole shrimp as big as your finger! “Found this place on accident 2 days ago. We ordered takeout. We had the family meal for 5. There was so much food. It felt more like enough for 7 or 8. The quality was just as good. So today we came back and dined in. They were super busy but we very nice. The food took a little while to come out but it didn't feel like it was too long. Afterwards, the owner came over to apologize, which was nice but unnecessary. We totally recommend this location.“

“The food here is so good my co-workers and I literally count the days when they get back from vacation. From the curry beef noodle "laksa" to the chicken satay to the peanut pancakes, it reminds me of my mom's house in Malaysia. It really is that good. The atmosphere is a bit weird but expected from a hole in the wall spot. For the taste and money, I don't care if they put us in a basement, bring on the food!“

Bunny Bunny Chinese • $
1454 Gratiot Ave, Detroit

“I'd heard about Bunny Bunny and wasn't sure what to expect when I visited! Rather than a standard sit down restaurant like I had envisioned the space is set up as a walk up counter where you place your order, receive a buzzer, and pick up the food on a tray when it's complete. There is a duo the runs the kitchen and cook all the food so be prepared to a wait a minute. It's not a full back of the house situation! What I love about Bunny Bunny is the freshness- with the counter and open kitchen design you can see them freshly preparing food made to order. The menu seems to be rotating - we had a chance to try the popcorn chicken, naan, and crab fried rice which were all tasty. Bunny Bunny is connected to a bar upstairs called Collect where you can find additional seating, beer, wine, and a few spirits. Overall i'd recommend Bunny Bunny if you're looking for something unique and different to try that's not a traditional sit down restaurant experience.“
