“We had Regina’s at our backyard wedding this past weekend and we couldn’t recommend them enough. They were incredibly easy to work with, organized, timely, and professional while providing delicious food! Our guest raved about their tacos and served food very quickly. We would love to have them at other functions and will seek them out wherever their truck is at. Truly couldn’t recommend Regina’s food truck enough!”

“Love The Oakland - just a great, dark cozy cocktail lounge with good music. I had the Green Badu this time, and it was just perfect. They also have a nice list of n/a drinks - the B Nektar SOber cider was so delicious and sugar free! Rare in a mocktail. Service is excellent, and it's a great stop before or after dinner, or as a break while holiday shopping.”

“I love this place and the people who took care of us. We had a party of ten and everything was very good. What stood out to me the most was how out of the way the employees went for us. I ordered something to go also and paid for it and forgot about it and left in a hurry because I had the tickets for an event we were attending on the next block. I didn't get his name but a nice man actually came to the event to find the person who forgot their takeout order. The server remembered me saying we were going there next. He went back and got my takeout and brought it back to me. You just don't find as many people that nice who cares as much these days.”

“Very popular restaurant and bar. We came on the weekend this time for brunch. Large menu with omelets, benedicts, french toasts. Regular menu has wings,sandwiches and ? .We got the wings and they(3)were large full and sticky. Our omelettes were good with plenty inside. The French toast too. My friend thought their benedict not their best and probably wouldn't get it again. Ask about gluten free or vegan. Betty get GF bread or bun please.

It was busy and the crowd was watching the game so it was fun. Tony U was our server and was on it. ?

“we didn't even get served or get any food. they refused to serve us. it took near 10 minutes for some woman to even come over and bring us to a table. after that we watched as their servers sat at the bar, and helped every one of the maybe 6 tables in the entire place that were occupied except us. they clearly have some problem with gay people as they had no issues helping any of the other guests. i watched the servers acknowledge us and just go help the other tables. we have previously had uncomfortable experiences every single time we have been there where the male servers say things under their breath until they get so irritated with us that the female hostesses have to complete our service. i truly am astonished that someone who runs a small business/restaurant would be treating people who want to eat there like that. every employee in the establishment behaved as if we made them visibly uncomfortable so maybe consider going somewhere else if you're looking for dinner. Finally, the service was already bad to begin with on top of their utter and complete refusal to serve us this last time that we tried going. I would suggest giving your money to a restaurant that isn't fully run and owned by losers who clearly don't want money!”

“I have been enjoying B. Nektar for many years. I have both attended and volunteered events. Carrie is awesome and a great tour guide. Joe, Bobbi, Chase and really everyone that works here is great. Friendly and laid back atmosphere. Excellent mead! Highly recommend!”

“Ate here last night for Valentine’s Day date with my husband. First visit to this location and it was top notch! Our server Alejandro was attentive and on top of things and so friendly. Food and atmosphere was excellent and margaritas great. We will definitely be back ! ❤️”

“This weekend we visited Detroit Fleat to check out their brunch, and I have to say it’s one of the most family-friendly and pet-friendly restaurants we’ve been to all summer. The restaurant has ample space for strollers and high chairs. The outdoor patio and kid play area are a huge plus — it allowed us to relax and enjoy our meal while our daughter had fun.

Our server, Marissa, was excellent — a true 10/10. Her patience, service, and attention to detail made the experience even better.

For food, we ordered the Breakfast Burrito, Breakfast Nachos, Pancakes, and Mac and Cheese for our daughter. Everything was delicious — we’d give it all a 10/10, except the pancakes, which we’d rate a 7/10.

The ambiance was relaxed and laid-back, perfect for a weekend brunch. One small area for improvement is the host stand — when we first walked in, there was no greeter, and we only got seated after walking inside and being directed by staff behind the bar.

Overall, we loved the experience and especially the patio. We’ll definitely be back soon to enjoy more time outside with both family and friends.”

“Our table ordered the chicken fried rice, the forager with sourdough toast, and the salmon burger with fries. My boyfriend said the salmon burger was a 5/5 and he really enjoyed it! My friend said the forager exceeded his expectations and was really nicely cooked. He also got a fresh brewed iced tea and really liked it. The coffee was also solid. I liked the chicken fried rice, but others at my table were less impressed by it. It has a vinegar taste and is a bit soggy and spicy (I really liked it though). Friendly service! Variety of items on the menu, too. Everything together was about $55. Glad we stopped by.”

“Been here a few times since moving to Ferndale. I'm yet to have the same dish twice, and have NEVER been disappointed. The owner and staff are super friendly, my food is always ready quick, and the menu/weekly specials always have something interesting. I only wish they were open later for night owls like myself, but they're worth getting up earlier for. Go for the entrees, but don't forget to grab dessert there, too! The Coconut Cream Cake that was on special the day I'm writing this might be the best piece of cake I've ever had.”

“I genuinely have nothing but positive things to say about Kabar! I reached out about an omakase catering event for my sister's bachelorette party. Tommy called me and we had an in depth discussion of everyone's budgets, likes, dislikes, etc. He was incredibly responsive and a pleasure to work with and helped curate a fully customized menu. The chefs arrived early and were extremely accommodating to everyone's preferences-- and the sushi was so delicious! They created a very interactive program where they even taught us how to make a roll! Our experience with Kabar was unique and memorable. I could not recommend them more!”

A sammich is a true work of culinary art; a feast on a bun, if you will. A sammich is not made of the best ingredients; it is made of the *right* ingredients. It needs the right meats, and the right cheese(s), the right sauce, the right veggies, and the right kind of bread. Taking footlong sub bread and throwing every kind of meat and cheese and everything else under the sun or in your kitchen pantry on it does not a sammich make. It is akin to an incohesive mishmosh of colors on an artist's easel. Sandwiches make a good snack, but sammiches are forever. ❤”

Sarah was our waitress, who is also a 15 year experienced bartender on the side, was AMAZING to say the least! She was so friendly, helped make us crazy custom shots and was happy to do it!!

Makes it 100% worth it! I got the Smothered Potatoes and added two eggs to the top, they were out of carnitas, so they used chorizo. In my option they should change it permanently! So delish! Twice I ordered a jerk chicken wrap only to get back to work and bite into it there’s no chicken. I also had an issue with substitutions in my smoothie. I can taste when ingredients weren’t added”

Another large party came in after the party of 6 and they were waited on immediately. The party of 6 got up and left. I heard the hostess say, well they just showed up without a reservation. We didn't have a reservation either. As someone that has worked in the restaurant industry for 16 years, I thought this was appalling. There were other options that could have taken place. As a business, it would seem they would want to keep all their customers and do what is necessary.”
