“I'm usually quite happy with this location, especially since it's been remodeled. It's clean, and I can usually find what I'm looking for here. I like that they keep the lines moving on the self checkouts too. The only complaint I have is that I've purchased two things that were past their best by dates, so I need to be vigilant about checking those now. Their app has a tendency to want to sign me out a lot too, but the functionality of it otherwise is good. I do like their mPerks program, and have saved quite a bit using that, along with their coupons. Overall my experience has been positive.“

“Great atmosphere and prices. Their Cafe Miel (honey latte) was a spot-on dupe for Madcap's, and not too sweet which I appreciate! Pastries were awesome too. The chocolate croissant was so good and didn't shatter into a million crumbs like most croissants, so it's safe to eat in the car, lol.“

“This bakery is AMAZING! They SAVED our wedding! We found out a few weeks before our wedding that both bakers at the current bakery we had chosen had quit, and taken our order info with them. After going back and forth with the owner of the other bakery we found Kalindi’s. Not only did they take our HUGE last minute order, but they were very cautious with me having food allergies. They helped us out so much, and everything turned out AMAZING! Our boss loved the chocolate on chocolate cupcakes so much he contacted us after our wedding so he could order some for his son’s upcoming wedding festivities. “My husband and I just got married at the end of September. He's Italian and his family comes here for many desserts and pastries. When I was considering who to go through for our wedding cake, Mannino's was the obvious choice! I don't have very many photos since we are still waiting to get them back from the photographer. We ordered a small, 1-tier cake just for my husband and I to eat, and 170 cannoli for the rest of our wedding guests. We had half with chocolate chips, and half with nuts. They were a big hit and all of our Italian family members loved them! This bakery is classic Italian and has served the Grosse Pointe and surrounding community for decades with care and love like no other. From the pizza slices to the many desserts and baked goods this place has it all and has done it all. Be warned there is almost always a line and wait. But you can get lucky during the week. “I swung by Royal Oak farmer’s market Saturday morning and grabbed a couple pies. Just ate a slice. “If you never been to a good bakery before try going to tringali's the best bread . There's a lot of restaurants and sub places that buy tringali's bread. And use it for their own bread and resell it. So next time you order a sub from your favorite places look at the bread it's the same as tringali's. And the best cannolis ever that's why they've been in business for over 50 years. You'll be back if you go there just saying give it a try you will be back.“

“The only time I'm able to come is in the afternoon, but for awhile I stopped coming because the environment has felt unwelcoming and honestly I got mean girl vibes. I've been coming back consistently over the past few months and I can say the environment is a whole lot better. The staff seem happier, they have, fun, and they are so professional for their age it's insane. There is a manager named Tess that has interacted with her staff in a way that I wished a manager has treated my kids when they were in high school. She teaches without judgement, she listens, and every time I come she's helping and always moving. I really believe that the change in environment is because of her. Great hire Crumbl! “Prior to coming to Michigan I had never heard of a paczki, much less that there was a whole paczki day leading up to Mardi Gras. Luckily my visit coincided with the lead up to paczki day, and we came here to get a few while we were in Detroit. The bakery was PACKED. I had no idea jelly donuts caused this much of an uproar. Everyone in the shop was joking around, and the women working behind the counter were taking orders and boxing up paczkis with factory like efficiency. We ended up ordering a box of 6 raspberry paczskis, and I promptly ate one as soon as we were out of the bakery. Then I understood why the bakery was so full. I'm not sure why we don't have paczskis in California, but I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Michigan to try the myriad other flavors they had in the shop!“

She called to make sure she knew what we wanted and to set expectations for last minute cake orders. She pulled it off with a beautiful and delicious cake. “I can't remember how I heard about Sweetwater's Coffee, but when I saw they were across the street from one of my work campuses, I immediately stopped in and had to check them out. I've heard nothing but good things about them, and was eager to see if they lived up to all the hype. As a daily coffee drinker I've learned that everyone takes it a different way. I'm generally a light brew lady with cream and sugar myself. When I walked in the place was huge with tons of seating and very aesthetically pleasing. Plenty of room to move about and I loved it. They have a great menu and can make you a multitude of different drinks. I didn't feel like anything fancy, so I went with their light roast (breakfast blend?) to start my day off right. There was two girls (as there usually is) working behind the counter and they got to it right away. Within a few minutes my coffee was ready and I put in the sugar myself along with the cream. My only thing is, and again, this is my preference, I like flavored creamer. It's what I drink at home and like to have it out when possible. While their cream here is fresh, it's standard no flavor creamer. They have a ton of different sugar options which was nice to see. Overall, the coffee here is fabulous and I'd frequent here as much as possible if it was closer to me. Whoever invented and opened Sweetwaters did it right. This is how a coffee shop sould be!“
