“It has been over 2 years since we have gone here for dinner. In the past I wasn't overwhelmed with their food, even though they're beer selection is top notch. Glad I let my wife make the call and we went here for dinner.We all ended up getting burgers, and my wife and I both commented that these were the best burgers we have had in a long, long time. Howlers and Growlers is now firmly back in my radar when we want to go out for burgers and a beer.“

“Charming. An old school Italian restaurant in a charming part of Grosse Pointe Park. A family friendly restaurant without being adult unfriendly ?. I went with a classic lasagna and it tasted like I was a “made man” in the Corleone family or something. Heaven! Atmosphere was classy without being stuffy. Midweek dinner and not much of a crowd so we were seated right away. I think my favorite part was tomato sauce that was used in the lasagna.“

“Solid neighborhood American-style Chinese food at a reasonable price. Food is always tasty and fresh. We're not a huge fan of the flavor-profile on the egg rolls, but that's more of a taste preference than a real complaint. The staff is very friendly and pick up time given is always accurate.“

“I’ve lived in the area for two years but never got around to trying Red Crown until last night. I really wish I hadn’t waited that long!! Food, drinks and service were all awesome. Even the free chips were outstanding. I got the mushroom, vegan chorizo and chicken tacos. Mushroom and chicken were amazing. Vegan chorizo needed a little bit of extra flavor but still very good. Horchata was delicious. Got a veggie quesadilla to go and it was so good heated up this morning. I can’t wait to go back!“

“Cannot go to bed tonight without writing this review first. Sat at the bar and service was impeccable. Bartender/waitstaff really knew the menu well. Ordered the trout, beet salad, and gnocchi all of which were flavorful and texturally perfect. For dessert, ordered the upside down carrot cake and pavlova. Ate every last bite even though we were already full. We will be coming back and bringing friends!“

“Had the absolute best experience. I've frequented a few Michelin star restaurants and the Highlands definitely deserves one! Took my boyfriend for his birthday, and we both got different courses so combined we tried 6 dishes - the bread and butter is superb, loved the prawns, tuna crudo is fantastic, NY strip cooked to perfection. “Stopped in during the NFL draft weekend. Took about 5 minutes to get a table. Our server, Rebecca, was fantastic. Being as busy as they were, she had our drinks and waters on the table promptly and answered our questions about a few menu items. Went with the Truffled Bumblebee for an appetizer, which consisted of whipped ricotta, bee pollen, fig and truffle honey served with Walnut focaccia bread. Outstanding dish. Even my nephew, who is a picky eater enjoyed it. Ordered a larger pizza and it was enough to feed all three of us. Dough was good, toppings were fresh and it really tasty. Definitely recommend a visit.“

My partner got the "deez nuts" which was fun to watch her squirm and request it hahaha She got the primavera, it was okay. Could use more salt/flavor. I got the baby kale salad that tasted pretty good but the salad items were not cut up, so it made it slightly difficult to eat, but I think that's a personal preference. I got the blackened chicken and it was over cooked but good flavor. Decent place, just some execution errors. Fast casual for right before the Nicki Minaj concert. Our server was sweet and prompt. “We ate at Basan Detroit on a Saturday evening (we were among the first to arrive at 4pm). Overall, we had a positive experience. The cocktails and food were creative, and intriguing to our taste buds. We highly recommend and will come back again to try other menu items. Below is additional details of our dining experience. Place: New and at a great location. It's next to the Little Caesars Arena. We were worried about parking because of the hockey games, but because we arrived early we were able to find an inexpensive metered street parking (otherwise park at the garage or use valet). The interior is spacious, modern and elegant. Chairs are comfortable and there's adequate lighting. Services: Excellent. Our server was friendly and the restaurant staff made sure our glasses of water are always refilled and empty dishes were quickly taken away. Cocktails: Although I am usually a whiskey or bourbon person, the cocktails are creative and full of flavor. Ube-B was an interesting mix of vodka, berry, and crispy taste of black sesame, but delicious. Food: Flavorful and fulfilling. We walked away feeling like we were in heaven. We enjoyed all of our choices and definitely will come back again. Quick Review of our Choices: Cocktails: Baba Baba Old Fashioned (whiskey) - great mix for an old fashioned, just how I would like to enjoy it. Night City (bourbon) - little stronger than old fashioned, but perfect. Ube-Be (vodka) - an interesting mix of vodka, berry, and crispy taste of black sesame, but delicious. Swimming Bird (shochu - Japanese liquor)- First time I had shochu. The mix reminds me of lime sprite. I would enjoy having it again. Buns: Lobster- I did not try it, but looks appetizing. Fried Oyster- creamy with kimchi heat. Love it. Chicken Kastu- delectable, especially with curry. My favorite. Small: Chicken Liver Mousse- milk bread was crispy, and the chicken liver mouse was delicious (a bit chilled, but yummy nonetheless). Our favorite, we would have it again. Tornado Potato- great spiral potato, kinda like crispy chips with sauce. Gyoza- savory lamb stuffed gyoza and sweet potato puree, delightful combo. Large: Udon - creamy dish of noodles with eggs, there's a heat aftertaste, mild but delicious. Kalbi Short Ribs- appetizing and flavorable. Dessert: Tofu Donuts- we were hesitating because we are not a fan of Tofu, but this dessert surprised us. Taste just like cinnamon sugar Donuts. Careful, allow it to cool down to enjoy it. Soft Serve- vanilla soft serve in ginger waffle, ginger candies, and marshmallow, an interesting combo, but delicious and sweet.“

“I've never had Yemin food, but if it tastes this good I'm having it again. The Yemen Cafe serves food I'd categorize as Middle Eastern, but it's much more than that. “Known for their delicious steak, this restaurant should be know for how accommodating they can be. We made dinner reservations at a new spot we wanted to try. We were made to wait an hour. So we walked across the street to London Chop House and told them what happened, they sat us in minutes. I know you usually have to reserve a table here because it’s that good. But they were so kind and so sweet and made an exception for us. The food was good, the jazz music was good, the wine was good!! I will be back for every birthday celebration.“

“It was an exciting time. The lions were winning. We went to Slows for dinner. They said there would be an hour and a half wait, turned out to be 2 hours. TOTALLY worth the wait! The food was INCREDIBLE. The manager comped our drinks for having to wait so long. Heck, it wasn't their fault that the place.was so busy and people were lingering. I wish Slows was closer to my house, I would eat there much more often. I give them 10 stars.“
