I am beyond delighted with the delicious and beautiful vegan food at a Christmas tea at Royal Eagle which is on the grounds of St. Sabbas Orthodox Monastary. The napkins, which I loved, were folded by the monks. There is a requirement for modest dress as it is a monastary.
First class, welcoming atmosphere with an amazing menu. Beautiful presentation, fresh and flavorful ingredients, and wonderful chef and staff. You are transported to another era of fine dining. Can't wait to go back.

This place is not messing around with anything. This is a top flight restaurant. It's a place for a special occasion. Take your own bottle of wine if you want as they only serve pop and coffee. The grounds are something to see, so plan on a half hour for that. While we ate peacocks roamed around outside the windows. It's truly a great experience and a gem of a place for Michigan. Go here and experience it. It's a somewhat hidden place in the city.
