“A little surprising for its location. It's on an old federal highway at a random intersection. But the food was really good and it's a great room. And the service was noteworthy. Aspiring waitstaffers should go watch Shawn work for an hour or so. Or he could put on a clinic of how waiting tables should be done. It was a stark difference from other Oakland County restaurants. “Excellent bar and grille. Not a lot of variety on their menu mostly sandwiches/burgers/pizza but they do it very well. Great place to stop for a quick lunch or a quick/affordable dinner. For the liquor drinkers out there they also pour very generously especially for shots.Kid-friendliness: They have a few video games and darts and pool tables plus lots of room for them to move around. Don't let them get the hotdog unless you are sure it's a very huge hotdog“

“The atmosphere is like a mix between a bar and a sports bar. The lunch crowd is mostly local businesses. They have specials which are always good deals The food is good typical bar food. If you want a burger or a fish and chips this is definitely your place. They're located right in the middle of town across the street from a rite aid so if you need some odds and ends you're close they're near gas stations and schools and other restaurants. They are definitely a deep-seated restaurant in this area and well frequented.“
“Great food and great staff. Began going to Sparkies 2 or 3 times per month about 8 or 9 months ago. With the exception of one visit, which I spoke to management about, every visit has been excellent. Typical restaurant noise, a little loud for people that are hard of hearing during their busiest hours, but not any worse than any other place around. Everything we have tried has been exceptional. Our favorites are the Fish and Chips and the Jambalaya“
