“The taste is top shelf. The staff is always very friendly, fast, and willing to go the extra mile. Good people. Great food. Fantastic service. Unbeatable prices for such large portions. If you got the empty belly munchies, they have the cure !“
“We had a great experience! We dined in because our kids wanted to eat inside. We bought a house in December and the title company recommended this place to us we moved from out of state and had mentioned we were looking for good Chinese food! It lived up to the recommendation! We had Mongolian beef, orange chicken, lo mein noodles, fried rice, white rice and crab rangu. The orange chicken was the best orange chicken I ever had! The only thing we were a little disappointed about was the fried rice it didn’t have any vegetables in it and from our experience any place we’ve gone to fried rice had vegetables in it we got two cartons of it and neither had any. Looking at other reviews it looks like there is usually vegetables in the fried rice so not sure what happened there. Otherwise we really enjoyed the food and service! Thank you!“
“We actually didn't get to eat there ...we showed up on Christmas Day for the first time and they were mad busy. Still, I was impressed with how they kept it together in spite of the chaos, and the food looked great enough that we want to return on a less busy day.All the staff were very kind and polite and did their best to help customers out. They did seem to have an issue with estimating time since when we showed up they had no tables open and said it would be a few minutes, so we stood and waited, but had to leave a half hour or so later as it did not look like anyone at the tables were budging. That's where I had to take off one star -- I think they could do a better job judging how long it will be until a table is open and learn to give conservative estimates instead of overly optimistic ones.Apropos what an earlier hangry reviewer said, parking is limited, especially on busy days, though I'm not sure what the establishment can do about that. I will say that it's not so crazy inside on a busy day that kids will get "trampled." That's a ridiculous exaggeration. The place is certainly kid-friendly.While we waited, a Karen came in and got mad at them for takeout orders taking too long (this was near 6 p.m.). I'm not sure what people expect on CHRISTMAS DAY. I'm also not sure what a restaurant is supposed to do -- refuse takeout orders? If they fast tracked those orders, the people in the restaurant would have waited forever for their food. They were doing their best to keep up with the demand. Seriously, you can't get mad at one of the few restaurants open on one of if not the busiest day of the year for not being able to keep up with your stupid order. It's just food, for goodness sake. Get over it.“
“It might not look amazing on the outside, but the food was amazing and they take care of you, quick service... it's a mom and pa restaurant that is probably the nicest place I've eaten at in a while. If you come here please bring good vibes and don't ruin my time hereWheelchair accessibility: Small ramp to get on, friendly staff and will definitely set you up. Watched them take care of an older gentleman, put some napkin in his shirt to help keep food off him“
“After all the hype we have been hearing, we were in the area visiting family. We decided to stop in for a late lunch. Choices were limited, and most were hardly warm. We will not likely return. I am not telling you not to try for yourself, just sharing my experiences.“
“Came here on a friend's recommendation. The restaurant has new owners different from before the pandemic I think. I definitely did not regret my choice! Everything was delicious, I really loved how much fresh vegetables were in my food. I will be telling my friends and coming back! Don't change anything please!“
“The food is wonderful and I'm not a lover of Chinese food but the family wanted to go and it's been years since we've been there. It was packed but you wouldn't know it. We got a seat within 5 minutes. Drinks and food came with hardly a wait. Server was very attentive. Will be back.“
“Small place to dine, been looking for a good place to eat really authentic Chinese food. I’d say it’s alright. This place must have been extra busy today because it took us forever to get our main dish. We did get our soups fast. loved the dumplings a lot but main dish was way bigger than I expected and not really super flavorful I got the beef and rice noodle. Also just not super well decorated just needs to feel a bit more Chinese with the decor.“
“I finally tried this place and I'll definitely be back! It was easy to order online and everything was easy to understand. The food was hot and fresh. The veggies were cooked to the perfect texture. The broccoli with chicken was awesome! I should have gotten a picture but the food was beautiful and I dove without thinking about it lol.“
“Very good food, reasonable prices. Nice staff! Ordered the General Tso Chicken and an extra egg roll (each meal came with an egg roll and fried rice). $21.00 out the door for 2 meals. Can't even get two fast food meals for that price anymore, and this came with a LOT more food!“
“My first time ordering from here. The Szechuan dumplings were very fresh and delicious. The egg rolls were also fresh, flaky and delicious. The Dragon and Phoenix Delight had a very good taste to it with plenty of meat. The shrimp fried rice was average, could be better. Overall I will definitely order again! ?“
“We live in Michigan and we drive all the way to Ohio for this buffet!! The food is really good and very well priced. We have told other friends that live in Michigan and they too have taken the drive down here, our favorite Chinese Buffet, hands down.“
“I've eaten here a lot and enjoy the food. Last night I was by myself so I ordered a take out dinner at the restaurant. My food arrived very quickly and was very tasty and warm when I got home. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere very cozy. The only minor complaint I have is that they don't allow substitutions.“
“This is our go to Chinese takeout spot. The food for me is mindblowing, but typical takeout Chinese which is fine. I just appreciate the service I always get. They took covid super seriously with a lot of measures for safety which I appreciate and they are always friendly and fast. It's really just a takeout place at this point. I think there may be a few tables but it would be awkward to dine-in there IMO. It's good for what it is though and they'll keep getting my business.“
“This is our go to Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is pretty good, much better if you compare it to other Chinese places in the area. Prices are fair. The crab Rangoon has very little crab in it so we don't bother getting it unless they add some in free for the wait. Service is usually pretty quick and after ordering dozens of times they have never gotten our order wrong once.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, and even more options that can be made vegetarian on request.Parking: The parking lot here is the biggest gripe we have. It's small for the ammount of shops in the plaza, and it's set up extremely disorderly. Parking lot is fairly clean but not well maintained.Kid-friendliness: Generally a take out place but there is seating and it would be generally kids fridnly.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible by wheelchair.“
“This place is carryout only. Came here for the first time as I've had the taste for Chinese food, but haven't had any luck finding someplace with good food. Woman on phone was friendly and had patient with me as I navigated the menu. I ordered the salt and pepper fried ribs, beef fried rice and 3-shrimp spring rolls. The ribs were tender and had a great flavor. A few pieces had too much fat. They could do a better job trimming it. Fried rice wasn't bad. It was fairly moist. I ordered with extra onion. Could have had a little more meat. Spring rolls were good. I plan on returning. Hope the food is consistently good.“
“My second visit in a span of 2 days (late to posting this review)The service was quick, friendly, and the food was fresh! They piled my plate high, they are not stingy here! I wish I remembered the gentleman's name who helped me. He was so sweet and adorable he reminded me of my dad! I want to say his name was Derek? He was a manager, as stated on his name tag. Again, my food was delicious!!! I love the string bean chicken. It's like no other entree there. They also make sure to give you a fortune cookie and 2 soy sauce packets with every order, and And a cutlery pack!“
“THE BEST almond boneless chicken in town! The breading, it's not doughy, some places the breading isn't done and it's nasty. Also, they don't put freaking mushrooms in it or in everything! I HATE MUSHROOMS!!!! Flower drums almond boneless chicken has the almonds in it, the lettuce underneath and then there's the gravy! It's the gravy!!! Their gravy! Best freaking gravy i want to bathe in it! NO MUSHROOMS in the gravy thank the blue skies! Haha Mmmhmm and they have the BEST fried rice! I love stuff in my rice and NOT PEAS!! Nasty peas! Haha anyways, They put egg, bean sprouts, onion chives, and then meat in it! Yes oh yes! They give you a big portion. I would be devastated if this place ever closed or if they changed their recipes. Oh and they have BIG egg rolls! Just got to ask for the hot mustard. And their chicken noodle soup is a must with some pepper in it and the club crackers ❤️ My mom loved to eat here and when I miss her, it's like a comfort food ❤️❤️❤️ yum this place makes my belly and my heart happy, so thank you ❤️“
“I’ve been going here since I was 7-8 and I’m 22 now and this is honestly the only restaurant I recommend when people ask me about good Chinese food!! The employees are friendly and they’ve always been sweet and welcoming! Big props to the cooks as well????❤️Vegetarian options: They have tofu and vegetarian lo mein and rice!! ?“
“Hi. I have travelled all over this country, have eaten 1000's of restaurants from the north to the south and along the east coast. I don't write reviews, but I have to give proper respect to this place for being what I consider the BEST Chinese food that I have ever had!My favorite is the Kung Pao Chicken. It has the freshest vegetables in them! They are so crisp and delicious when I bite into them. I ask for spicy, because most places just don't have any heat at all. This place has the right kick, without burning your taste buds to the point where you can't taste anymore. It's the kind of heat that makes you want to keep stuffing your mouth. This stuff is so good, and it's even better the next day cold.I just can't understand why some of the people posted here that they didn't like the food, that there wasn't enough chicken or that it was too salty. Total nonsense. I think some people just like to complain. As far as I'm concerned, this place rates number #1 for Chinese Food on my all-time list. I don't even live in Toledo.. or Ohio for that matter. If I did, I would eat here all the time. It's still maybe 2 hours away, and there were moments I still considered the drive.Who would have guessed from the outside what truly a gem this place is! One thing I do know is my food, and often times you find the best things in the most unexpected places. Keep up the good work!“
“I usually don’t write reviews but this small business deserves a shout out!My family and I order from here all the time and have been customers for years. Seriously the best Chinese in the city!!The food is always fresh and the staff is super nice. They make it feel personal for us when we call because they know our order. They do small things to make us feel like a valued customer. (Usually I call later in the evening and if I call earlier they will joke that I’m ordering earlier than normal.) One time they even brought my kids small candies.I highly recommend them! I have never been disappointed by their food or service.“
“Excellent take-out food! Very tasty, decent serving size, good value for money, and good quality disposable chopsticks that don't splinter. The fried rice that comes with any combo platter is very good - unlike most places that serve just plain rice soaked in soy sauce, this places serves actual pork fried rice with mixed veggies.“
“9 PM order excellent! Garlic chicken, medium with extra Chinese vegetables. Chicken lo mein, and two orders of crab lagoons.Vegetarian options: Lots of fresh vegetables, cashews, or nuts to add. The sauces they make are delicious!Dietary restrictions: They will put any spices/sauces you want on your food. they will make special orders.Parking: On the curb in front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They are very friendly and kind at all times. If you order the wrong thing, they will fix it when you come in. Angela the owner on the register, throwing back orders to her husband, Chef John and the three other chefs assisting him ready to perform their magic over the hot sizzling woks! They have very strong accent, and sometimes it’s hard to understand.I’ve been going there for 13 years.Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is located in a small complex with two ProMedica therapy places on each end.“
“I absolutely LOVE the sweet & sour chicken here! I am addicted to the s&s sauce. It's thee best I have ever had!The only complaint I have is the egg rolls. When the restaurant first opened the egg rolls were to die for, not so much any more. They changed them a few years ago and they are smaller now and don't taste as good. I still gave 5 stars because the S&S chicken is that good!Parking: Parking lot is a bit small/narrow but it usually isn't an issue since they no longer offer dine-in. Most of the time when picking up an order you can get a spot right by the door.“
“I worked at a Thai restaurant for about 4 years. I loved their food. The cook was excellent. Several other thai restaurants I have been to, have not been as good as in my old job. Here it's just as good. Highly recommend the Pad Thai ?“
“I’ve ordered delivery before and they’ve been great but today I ordered and my entree was the wrong one. I called and they instantly took care of it and brought me the correct one! It was delicious as always! The driver almost wouldn’t take my extra tip for bringing me the correct dish. But it was the least I could do. Atleast I didn’t have to pack up the kid and car to go get my correct food. That to me is worth an extra tip in itself. Will keep getting food from here!“
“As I navigated the winding roads of Toledo, Ohio in search of culinary inspiration, I stumbled upon the unassuming exterior of King Garden, a Chinese restaurant that belies the treasures within. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I knew I was in for a treat. The scent of spices and sizzling meats wafted through the air, tantalizing my senses and hinting at the delights to come. The decor was modest but charming, evoking a sense of traditionalism that was refreshing in a world of fusion and experimentation.I perused the menu with a sense of curiosity, eager to sample the delights of this hidden gem. And then I heard it - a whispered rumor of a dish that defied convention, that challenged the very boundaries of culinary possibility. It was the legendary "beef and beef" - a creation born of inebriated inspiration and a reckless abandon for tradition.I knew I had to try it.And so it was that I found myself presented with a heaping plate of half beef lo mein and half beef fried rice. The noodles were perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of chew and a savory umami that made my taste buds sing. The rice was fragrant and bursting with flavor, its grains perfectly separated and each piece coated in a delectable sheen of oil.But it was when I combined the two halves that the magic truly happened. The combination of textures and flavors was nothing short of alchemy, the beef and beef greater than the sum of its parts. It was a dish that defied categorization, that broke down the barriers between lo mein and fried rice and elevated both to a new level of deliciousness. And then there was the owner. As I paid my bill and prepared to depart, I heard a familiar voice call out to me. It was the owner of King Garden, who had recognized my voice on the phone from years earlier and knew that I would want a "beef and beef". It was a small gesture, but one that spoke volumes about the care and attention to detail that goes into every dish at this hidden gem of a restaurant.King Garden may be located in the heart of Ohio, far from the culinary meccas of New York or San Francisco, but its food is every bit as exquisite as any Michelin-starred establishment. It is a testament to the power of tradition, the importance of community, and the boundless possibilities of culinary creativity.“
“Been eating here for years, always pretty consistently good. Flavors and cooking quality changes from time to time, it's worth it to try again after a bad experience. Over the last 9 years I've been eating here I've only had 2 or 3 times that I've had issues with the food.“
“The food here has always been pretty good. There service has always been good. It's really tough to rate Asian take-out restaurants because I'm fairly certain most of the food they serve comes from the same suppliers. However in this case, I don't eat sushi, so I can only compare what I do eat. The rest of their food though is good and you shouldn't be disappointed.“
