“Absolutely love this place! We were thrilled to find out an Afghan restaurant had opened in town. A friend got me hooked on bolani, and now I can get it anytime! I’ve since fallen in love with their pumpkin borani as well. The portions are perfect, the flavors are amazing, and everything tastes fresh and comforting. My boyfriend is a big fan too, and we make a point to stop in whenever we’re nearby. Five stars!”

“This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Lansing and the folks who run it are wonderful! They have the best garlic sauce in central Michigan and it comes with pita. The food is always always always fresh and delicious. I am not related to anyone there and I have not been paid or compensated in any way for this or any other reviews I may have given for this restaurant. I honestly just love their food and it never leaves me feeling cruddy. I have digestive issues sometimes from restaurant food and I always feel great after eating here. There is plenty of parking and plenty of seating inside. They have yummy desserts as well. Now they have an amazing Lunch Buffet for around $15.00 and it’s a great way to try things you may be hesitant to try. It also includes salad choices, soup, hummus and their garlic sauce with pita!!! You'll get your money and maybe even more of a tip if you walk away and let me finish my sentence to whoever I might be with.”

“Update on 08 June 2026: The hotel responded to my review and provided a credit for the $15 erroneous breakfast charge. I have therefore revised the rating to 4 stars.
This was a great stay (3 nights) and I had no complaints until checkout (that's the reason for the 3-star review). The accommodations were great and the breakfast was of a decent quality and great value.
As a Hilton Gold member, I am eligible for a $15 daily credit on food. It's a good thing I requested a copy of my folio. I noticed that I had been charged for one day's breakfast and no credit had been applied. When I pointed this out to the front desk associate, she said a refund of $15 would be provided. I left and a week later was disappointed to see that no $15 credit was refunded for the error. It is not a huge amount but causes one to wonder if this is just a sneaky trick to rake in a few extra bucks from unsuspecting guests. Please verify your bill before check-out.”

“Lovely little coffee shop! I enjoy their Westside location and am so glad to have a spot on the Eastside that is more convenient for me. The space is bright and welcoming, the baristas have always been friendly and helpful, and the staff has been very accommodating of my service dog and I. They even asked and provided him with a pup cup during our last visit! (To be clear, they are not a pet friendly business and only allow service animals per the ADA.) I typically order tea, though they have a nice selection of coffees and pastries as well. My only critique is that I wish they had more cozy, lounge-type seating, since right now they have mostly desks (although with plenty of outlets for online work). We've been here a few times already since they opened the Okemos location and will continue to visit often!”

Our server was amazing but I wasn't too fond of the manager walking around yelling at all his employees who were busting their butts trying to provide the best service to the customers. I've worked in restaurants for about 10 years now and I know things can get frustrating during dinner rushes. But being the owner of the restaurant and treating your employees so poorly while you have customers trying to eat isn't ideal. I watched this guy yell at all his cooks and servers. Also was rude to a server about a chair when they didn't know said chair wasn't allowed in the outside seating area. I really hope this manager takes the extra steps to pull people aside and be discreet when addressing something instead of causing a scene like we saw tonight. Other then that, we enjoyed this restaurant and the food!”

I also have the kalamata Olive vegan Bread was a little to salty for me, I think it was the garlic salt in the everything seasoning. I would order it without that on it. “I took my mom to the Edgewood Blvd Lansing one yesterday 5.10.24 at 4:15 pm and the food was fabulous. Better than it ever has been. I haven't ever complained about their food and last night was no different, but whatever they did it was all cooked way above perfection. I have not gone anywhere that I can remember and had such an amazing meal as last nights. I usually save some to take home to the hubby, but not this time. I ate it all except a dog scrap piece 😆(that's what the waitress called it). I got the 6oz sirloin (med well) and ribs & mom got the sirloin and shrimp. The ribs were extremely tender and the sirloin was so juicy and perfect. The ribs are always delicious, but will still have just a touch of dryness to them. Last night the meat was flaky and fell off the bone with barely a touch. The service was excellent too. I can't remember our waitresses name, but very friendly and right on top of it. Even my mom said the waitress did a good job. Last night was definitely worth the over-tip. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟”

“We are pass holders and go pretty often. We’ve visited several different locations but this one is our favorite! It’s clean, the staff are friendly, and they do a great job on the pizza. I’ve never waited more than a few minutes for food either, even when it’s slammed.”

“We had a great dinner experience at Olive Garden, and a huge part of that was our waitress, Sami. She was incredibly pleasant, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with throughout the meal. She had such a positive attitude and made the whole dinner feel relaxed and welcoming.
We definitely kept her busy with all of our little requests, extra cheese grinding, and particular preferences, but she handled everything with a smile and great attentiveness. She never made us feel like we were inconveniencing her and stayed upbeat the entire time.
One of the highlights was getting to chat with her about the Upper Peninsula. It was fun hearing about her trips to Gogebic County with her dad. Those little personal conversations really made the experience memorable and showed how personable she is.
Excellent service, great attitude, and just an all-around wonderful server. Sami made our evening better, and we hope she gets the recognition she deserves. Five stars all the way!”

“Absolutely love this place! We were thrilled to find out an Afghan restaurant had opened in town. A friend got me hooked on bolani, and now I can get it anytime! I’ve since fallen in love with their pumpkin borani as well. The portions are perfect, the flavors are amazing, and everything tastes fresh and comforting. My boyfriend is a big fan too, and we make a point to stop in whenever we’re nearby. Five stars!”

I got to enjoy this place twice in one week, once with my family, and another time with my girlfriend and some friends, and everyone left full and happy.
The first time I had the curry goat, and the second time I had the lamb rogan josh. Both were absolutely outstanding and perfectly cooked, and the portions were quite generous. My girlfriend had the aloo gobi which had a deep rich flavor without being overly heavy with sauce. The gobi manchurian appetizer was also to die for!
The food is high quality and incredibly well seasoned, not just with generic spice mixes. I am also a big fan of spicy food and was pleasantly surprised at how strong the 'Indian spicy' level was. But they were also able to make food medium or mild according to each guests tastes, without sacrificing overall flavor.
The servers are incredibly friendly, and not overbearing at all which is a hard balance to strike. I loved the lighting inside and also was very happy to see that you could also get alcoholic drinks with our meal, which you don't usually see in local Indian places.
Everyone should check this place out. It's great if you're already a fan of Indian food, and also the perfect place to take people who wish to try it for the first time. I can't wait to go back again.”

You'll get your money and maybe even more of a tip if you walk away and let me finish my sentence to whoever I might be with.”

“This place has a fantastic Pub atmosphere. The food is wonderful. The service is outstanding and the vibe is just what you want. You can stay there and have a nice dinner. Or you can grab a drink with your friends and hang out for a couple hours. Either way, you're going to love it. One of the best parts is the fact that even when it's packed it's never too loud. I have never had to raise my voice to be heard by my table mates. This is truly one of my favorite spots!
