“Was just driving thru, and stopped by chance. Hands down, one the best damn cheeseburgers I've ever had! And the twisted potatoe fries were also outstanding. Definitely gonna make a trip that way again some time soon just to eat there again.“
“We had never been to Village Inn before, but the definitely exceeded all expectations we had. Going for the 4pm all you can eat perch and cod buffet, perch on a buffet? What? and for $16.99? Yes please! It was delicious! Many other sides to choose from as well. The atmosphere was great, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and everything was clean and welcoming. It was super busy, but I understand why. We will definitely be back to order off the menu. Thank you Village Inn! Great job! P.S. the cheese curds we got as an appetizer were the best we have ever had!Parking: The lot can get full at busy times, but there are other parking options.“
“Great neighborhood bar for locals and newbies. Wonderful steaks, appetizers and Prime Rib Fridays. Thursday night is martini night. Take care of the bar staff and they will take care of you. Locals can reserve a seat at the bar with their orange cone. Ray the owner is AWESOME.“
“I spent over 10 years working downtown Frankenmuth for every festival. St Patricks in BC has that same vibe. This staff is the best around. I know what it's like to be overwhelmed but I've never witnessed a more professional group. Everyone at Coonan's are at the top of their game. We love you!“
“It is an awesome place. But I just watched your servers throwing a fit about guys with cameras. Then they locked the doors with customers inside and called the police. On potential customers! I do hope these servers were fired in the spot! This is unacceptable behavior!“
“My friend and I went here for breakfast and were seated immediately. I had the breakfast burrito with hash browns and white toast. He had Mandy’s big breakfast that came with 2 eggs, 3 meats, hash browns, toast AND choice of 2 full size pancakes or French toast. We shared an order of biscuits and gravy. All the entrees were excellent.Open floor plan with flat top seating. Clean and cozy. Excellent service. Daily specials with competitive prices. I would definitely recommend.Parking: Small parking lot to the North of the establishment. Limited street parking.“
“We go here every so often. But last night we weren’t really impressed! The waitress seemed to be in a rush taking our orders but was nice and gave back the menu so my boyfriend could pick something he actually wanted… Then his grilled chicken sandwich came out and his chicken was DICED.. not even a full piece of chicken, at this point it we thought we wouldn’t say anything..“
“Took the family out tonight because we simply didn’t feel like cooking. The food was fantastic as always… no complaints on any of the food! The atmosphere was great! My kids loved listening to the Reggae music and we had a good time. However the server left much to be desired… she never came by to check how our food was, our drinks were very low for a while and she never asked if we wanted refills until we were done eating and waiting for the bill. The whole time it seemed as though the server was more interested in sitting at the bar and chatting than anything else. I do love this place and plan on returning, hopefully it was just a fluke as this is the first less than perfect experience I’ve had there.“
“Stop in to get a quick drink with friends and ended staying a lot longer! The waiter was kind, and knew the menu. The food was your typical pub food but was cooked well. Not the best place for big parties but for a small group it's perfect!“
“Best French toast around! It was made fresh with locally baked bread and the syrup was real maple syrup not that HFC stuff and the coffee was served in a to-go cup so you can take it with you. They also serve Detroit Cola. It's like Coke but better. They also serve french fries made from fresh potatoes and salt. No batter! just good old-fashioned french fries.“
“My boyfriend ordered and paid for a for a single chocolate cone. At the window he was given (and told baby chocolate cone). The vestibule was too busy for him to argue so he just took it and left. Last year I tried Mussel Beach and the girl at the order window was snotty towards me I assumed she just had a bad day so I decided to give this place another try. It might be a couple years before I decide to give them a third chance.“
“This is a quick place. Menu options are limited. I got the turkey dinner and it is defenitely enough for two meals. The stuffing is pretty mushy, but still tastes amazing. Plmashed potatoes are fine. I thought there'd be a little more turkey. Casual atmosphere with great service! You need to try this place out. You won't be disappointed!“
“Nice location downtown on the river, with lots of good parking .Never would have known it existed, if not for someone commenting on Facebook. Nice restaurant with indoor & outdoor seating with great views of the river and we had a good waitress. There were plenty of good sounding choices on a big menu. We had the Lobster rolls as an appetizer and they were very good. I had the Hawaian Coconut Cod and a side of Brussel sprouts, the cod was good but hardly had the slightest hint of Coconut, and the sprouts were good ,but a bit greasey. She had the grilled salmon with a side salad and a baked potato. Her salad was fine , the salmon was overcooked and dry, with a barely warm baked potato. A manager stopped by , but was to late to make adjustments ,to the orders. I rated it overall a 4 , she was closer to a unimpressed 3. I think there is real potential here , if you could get the kitchen to serve it up as good as it sounds on the menu.“
“Large portions for good prices. Grandmas mac and cheese with chicken is amazing and will definitely fill you up. Can't go wrong with Castaways. The summer time is perfect to sit on the deck by the river. You can even boat up to the dock and eat.Parking: Massive parking lot as well as boat docks“
“Service was fantastic! The food was cooked wonderfully and in great portions for the price. He had a wet burrito with chicken. Ground chicken was used which he wasn't a fan of, but said it was still remarkable. We also ordered deep fried green beans. They were cooked very well however, it would have been great to have a bit more flavor added to the breading (seasonings). I had the fried pollock with French fries and coleslaw. The fish was cooked well done per my request and was delicious. The fries were crispy and the tar tar sauce was on point (if you like the tangy zip of miracle whip!). I was not a fan of the coleslaw. It tasted like the store bought jug one buys in large quantities. Overall, the food was absolutely worth it, the service was five star, and their drink selection is phenomenal as well, though we did not partake.“
