“i have visited every year since 2018 or so. i have always loved this place and the owner has been pretty nice to me as well. however, this trip was different than the rest. ANDY was working there during our multiple stops in and he was kinder each time we arrived. talk about feeling seen and cared for - he recommended art sets for my toddler from there and didn’t even side eye me for my strange drink orders. HE made this place warm, inviting and safe for us. i cannot explain the gratitude for his existence. anyhow; everything is good food and drinks- you literally cannot mess it up here. stop in and fall in love.“

“We went during the off season so not many other options were available lol.All our servers were super accommodating to us and our two kids which I always appreciate! Food was alright! Pizza was really yummy! My son had a hot dog THREE times. He seemed to enjoy it. We got some other food options and everything was pretty good overall but if you want "healthy" this isn't the place haha. They have a couple salad options but not much non-fried options outside that.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available!“

“I had Read reviews about this place that didn’t inspire me so we didn’t plan to stop here, but after being hot and tired walking around Fort Mackinac, we decided we needed to stop for a break. About 1130 on a Tuesday, they seated us right away. The lower patio with the umbrellas was probably more roomy and better shaded but the upper patio where we sat was just fine with an absolutely spectacular view. The wait staff all from Jamaica were super charming and kind. The ice tea was very refreshing and the fruit plate, although not plated in any special manner was also very satisfying, as well as the conversation- and again the great view of the sparkling water and Mackinac bridge. It made for a great vacation memory. Would go here again for sure. PS. You would think there would be several restaurants with a great view of the water, but this did not seem to be the case. This place is a gem.“

“We ordered the Dill Pickle pizza & the Greek-za Mediterranean pizza (without the hard salami). Both pizza were absolutely amazing! The service here was phenomenal as well. I would recommend you stopping by if you are visiting the UP.“

“I don't know how to write this review. I don't have the appropriate words. It was a spiritual experience. Bear with me.We are foodies from the west coast, and moved to Michigan a year ago. More often than not, our uppity palates have been disappointed by the amount of restaurants in MI that carry solely Cisco (or the like) products.Max the tender, and Jer the cook were the only ones at the bar at 1pm on a Saturday in December. I was nervous there was no one there, but starving so we ordered the shiitake appetizer and the Brisket sandwich. We settled in with our marvelous pints and we started eating - with each bite it became more obvious that this seemingly simple food had been thought up by a person who has a delicate, discerning taste of a brewer. The flavors are expertly balanced, high quality ingredients with humble honest plating. My foodie demon has been reawakened.I tackled Max with questions, and this dude does not disappoint. a wealth of knowledge and hospitality, he probably is the closest thing you can get to the mythical bar-keep only seen in fantasy taverns.Upon telling him my experience, he recommended several other places to try on our travels- one of which we went to on our way back. Thai Orchid in Petoskey. After finishing that meal we almost cried. But that is another story. He needs to run for office. In fact, I think we should create a whole new elected official position. Culinary Cultivator and Almighty guide, or some such b.s...I also want to mention that we live in Manistee, in case some restaurateur takes pity on us and decides our community deserves more high quality, honest food.“
