“Stopped in with a party of 10 on Saturday. MSU graduation day. Called ahead. Very polite. Got to the restaurant. Slight wait while they set up the table.Once seated. Two very kind servers. Place was packed busy. Prompt on bread sticks. Salad bowls full ! Never a drink empty.Main dishes were from what I could tell by the empty plates very good. I enjoyed the penne mushroom sauce with chicken dish ALLOT !From start to finish our group dinner experience was very good before commencements. We will return without hesitation ! Thanks guys !“

“This is a lovely place! Unique menu items, great flavors, nice portions and great service. Went to another restaurant but they had water main issues so they recommended the soup spoon cafe. I fell in love. Went back again to take my boyfriend out to breakfast and I knew he wouldn’t be disappointed. I was right! He love it as well. No doubt, it will become a regular spot from now on!“

“I pointed Babes out to my boyfriend recently and mentioned we should try them out soon as the menu looked so tasty. He surprised me today with an order to try out a few of their sandwiches: the Betty, the Margaret, and the Fran. My first comment is on the size. He ordered halves, with the thought that they would be smaller sandwiches that would be just a couple bites for us to try. We didn’t realize that it was half a sub! But we powered through, because after one bite, there is no way we weren’t going to try all of them. Literally, some of the best sandwiches either of us have ever had in our lives. So much flavor, the perfect bun, and everything was obviously put together with so much thought. The Margaret in particular was my favorite; a little bit of heat and a tad sweet. So glad to finally tried Babes out, and so thankful to have a new Lansing favorite! Highly, highly recommend.“

“Great atmosphere, service and the food was just phenomenal. The older woman which I believe is the owner was so attentive and great. I really needed something spicy since their spicy sauce to me wasn’t that hot. She really hooked it up and got me these peppers that were nice and spicy . Food was just on point and I have been to many Thai places and this was one of the better ones I have gone to.“

“Vegetarians, carnivores, and vegans alike can all break bread at Woody's Oasis. The best Lentil and Rice soup and Lentil and vegetable soup I think are found here. Their Cabbage Salad is crisp and herby, while the Falafel is crispy and flavorful. Chicken Shawarma and Chicken Kabobs are excellent as well as the Mediterranean salad. The fries are also excellent. The one thing I will not purchase anywhere else is Woody's Garlic Sauce - absolutely wonderful. “I love this place, I have had takeout several times before and decided to dine in, interior is lovely, the exterior is very unassuming but it disguises a very nice place, definitely want to come in from the alley to park. Road noise from Grand River is pretty high but I didn't find it spoiled my experience.Parking: You want to go around and enter from the alley behind, the driveway from Grand River is pretty narrow and also the only way to walk from the parking lot to the front.“

“Such an adorable and bright space! Highly recommend getting "in line" online to avoid lengthy wait times but they seem to turn over tables pretty quickly. We opted for this place due to their reputation of having gluten free options. We were not disappointed as the GF offerings were extensive! I selected the GF pancake combo (not pictured as I inhaled the food prior to remembering) and the pancakes were huge, fluffy yet dense, with the perfect crispy edges! The combo came with two eggs and two meats, then we added a side of American fries to split. The American fries could have used a bit more seasoning so I added hot sauce and they were fine. Will definitely be back to try more of their gf breakfast menu and am looking forward to it!“

I have not seen this type of interior design in other restaurants.(ii) The washrooms were so clean and spacious that it made me feel like I was at home (This point is usually not noticeable or not written in a review for restaurants)(iii) I went in a group of six, and we tried both veg and non-veg food. The food was delicious and better than some of the Indian restaurants I have visited. My only complaint is that the sambusas are a bit oily.“

“We hosted a party of about 30 at HopCat last night for my son's MSUCOM graduation. First, I had a nice call ahead of time from Brett, the manager, to confirm the party and our arrival time. The timing was a bit tricky because of the graduation ceremony. Brett really tried to time everything for us so the room/food could be all ready to go right when we arrived. He even left his cell number for me-how many managers would do that?! So impressive!We had the top floor there which is an awesome space if you need a special event room. Everything was PERFECT! The food was amazing-all of it. We had the chicken taco bar, the burger bar, the boneless wings, and the Cosmic Fries. Our servers, Maria and Alyssa were warm, helpful, professional, and sooo efficient. They handled the crowd with ease and always made sure we had enough food, drinks, napkins, etc. They worked so hard to make our event a success for our guests. I cannot rave enough about the service we received at HopCat. They all went above and beyond. Brett, the manager, is on point with his management of this establishment!“

I swing into coffee shops all the time when I’m on the road and give employees of coffee shops and cafes the opportunity to make whatever they want and have creative freedom. Their menu holds up, with options for all eaters. They have very tasty food at a respectable price. Don't forget to have some oysters, as they are both tasty and great with a cold beer. The ambience is straight forward and wide open. It's not a quiet place, but it's a good place to meet people and have a transient conversation while enjoying good food and drink. They offer some screens with sports and great people watching. I recommend Henry's Place for a great experience in Bar Americana.“
