“We took a random day trip to The Lake and were in the mood for ice cream. Stopped at Country Dairy because it was the only ice cream place we could find open on a cool rainy March day. It was literally the best ice cream I've ever had. It's so rich and creamy. The clerk at the counter was super nice and helpful.”
“Excellent, real breakfast! The French toast was so light and fluffy it melted in my mouth. *swoon* Bacon, sourdough toast, butter basted eggs, perfect hashbrowns, all perfect.Service was fast, friendly, and they didn't miss anything. We will definitely remember this gem and make a point to stop whenever we're in the area.”
“My husband and I found this hidden gem while we were out for a country drive. Although we stopped in just as they were closing, a very nice young lady took the time to go through the menu with us and was just so sweet and accommodating. The restaurant was clean and bright, very festive. We purchased 6 beef tamales and 6 chicken tamales to go. The tamales were still piping hot when we arrived home in Whitehall. The tamales were delicious! I was taken back to my childhood when my family would make tamales for the holidays! We are new fans of Rico’s Tamales and we can’t wait to return and try the tacos, too! I foresee a lot of country drives that will take us through Rothbury again! Thank you so much for welcoming us into your establishment and being so kind. We will be back, often!”
“This place is amazing. Food prices were very affordable and everything is home made. It is also like stepping back in time to an old soda shop. The owner cooks all the food from scratch and she is super friendly. We went there every day for brunch. My favorite place to eat in Michigan.”
“Love the homemade bake goods. Coffee is great, too! Always friendly people working. This is our Friday Morning stop before I take my daughters to school.Kid-friendliness: It's a coffee shop with an adorablePlay are for kids to play as a barista.”
“Best pizza in West Michigan hands down. Made to order out of super fresh ingredients. One of the top five pizzas I've ever had. Many other great entrees and appetizers as well, especially recommend brisket and mac and cheese or the brisket pot roast. Servers are prompt, attentive, and super friendly. Lots of great specialty cocktails. I've lived in West Michigan for over 20 years, and I can honestly say this might be my favorite bar/pub type eatery in this area. Highly recommend!”
“They were really nice and they were very friendly there food is so good I would come here every day if I could they were not slow the food was to my table really ”
“Our family loves The Pizza Factory so much that we make a 400-mile round trip every weekend just to grab a pizza. I recommend it to everyone I come in contact with!”
“Delicious ice cream and quick service. Watch your step though as there's some unevenness in the asphalt and my husband gashed his toe pretty hard. It's by the bike rack.”
“Order at the window and take to a table the food is always great. Beer is always good lots of options. Free pinball on Sundays. Fun laid back seat yourself area.”
“This is one of my husband and I's top favorite places for our breakfast dates. They have the BEST pancakes! My hubby always gets their chocolate chip pancake, oh man, SO good!!”
“Autumn thank you so much for not only being open also for being so welcoming to me. This is my kindred spirit weekend summer time home town. The place I go to when I’m am lost in depth of disappear. The first Christmas I was unable to spend without my children had me at my lowest the patron and the bartender brought my spirits up. Amazing place with great atmosphere. Not to mention food is not your typical bar food it’s actually really good…”
“Sawyers is brewery at night & coffee shop in the mornings! Yummy lox bagel for breakfast. Nighttime has great live music. No onsite food at night, but you can bring in food, food truck outside sometimes or dog n suds across the street will deliver. Great locally owned place, owner often on site. Super friendly.”
“We had the mushroom swiss burger and the french dip. Both we absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend. I had the french dip and it was ?. Kayla was great and gave us fantastic recommendations and was very friendly! Overall, great experience….we’ll be back!”
“My visit to the Silver Lake Chicken Shack was a casual and family-friendly experience that left me with mixed feelings. On the positive side, the chicken they serve here is undeniably great, and they offer wine and beer to accompany your meal. But to note, not that big of a selection. If you're traveling with kids, this place is kid-friendly, and they'll likely enjoy the tasty chicken and relaxed atmosphere. However, it's essential to set the right expectations. While the food is a highlight, don't expect a any dining experience. The ambiance is basic, with cheap seating and paper plates. In summary, if you're in the mood for delicious chicken and a cold beer in a relaxed, family-friendly environment, the Silver Lake Chicken Shack is worth a visit. Just remember to appreciate it for what it is: a no-nonsense spot that's all about the tasty poultry, and not about the fancy setup or a normal dining experience.I also noticed that the placed seemed to have the setup for live music, which could add to the overall experience. However, it's worth noting that there was no live music during my visit.Conidering that there were not much choices around, I would recommend that spot!”
“Enjoyed a plate of corned beef hash and eggs. Our waitress/cook was very pleasant with an infectious smile and great memory. Didn't need paper to record or order. Nice small town restaurant. We'll be back.”
“Hart pizza has always been great! With new owners, there’s always a chance that things just wont be the same. My family ordered 2 pizzas and breadsticks last night. The food was better than ever. Perfectly cooked and great flavor! We look forward to having Hart Pizza for many more years to come.”
“Cutest little bakery around! The young lady working was so sweet! She walked us through all of the available selections and gave us a take home recommendation of their English Muffin Bread which is the best bread for toasting I’ve ever had! We chose a custard long John and pumpkin cake donut with coffee. Great selection, the long John was fluffy and light and both were freshly made. The furniture was comfortable and great for enjoying the view of this quaint little town. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!”
“Father in laws favorite place. He thought they were closed drove past it and it was open so we had to stop. I have never been before. We order a mama whoppa sub and the papa whoppa sub. It was amazing. And super filing couldn't finish the whole sub. The kids loved it too. My father in law was super happy about it still being opened. Just wish they had better hours. He has thought they were closed for years.”
“Set back off the main road a bit, this is a wonderful pizza place. They have a pizza and salad buffet starting at 11am, and their food is great! I had a veggie sub that was amazing! They have a small dine-in area, but it's very clean and well managed.I didn't see much business coming their way today, but with food this good I'm sure it picks up later in the day.Vegetarian options: Being a pizza place, everything not already vegetarian can be modifiedParking: The parking area is very small as this is in a very small plaza”
“I've been golfing here since the day it first opened. The course has come a long way. It is in decent shape. Not overly challenging, but if you just want to hit some balls and have a couple of drinks it is a perfect place.”
“Realized as I was heading to Marquette on a business trip with my hubby that I'd forgotten the pedicure I'd planned to schedule before we left. Best forget ever. Remembered a friend said her son worked in a salon and she ended up scheduling one for me at Kate's Place. Oh my goodness, best pedicure EVER and so appreciated how hard Crystal worked to hydrate my always cracked feet. Plus, the music and conversation was awesome. Had so much fun, didn't want to leave. I come up once a year and am hoping they'll be able to squeeze me in every time from now on.”
“Great service! My husband's food was good. I don't like spicy food, but would appreciate some flavor. My taco salad tasted as though the ground beef had no seasoning.”

“Food was amazing i had the cubano sandwich. My kid had mac and chz it was perfect. Wife got the dilly burger it tasted good but the burger patty was overcooked. Great servers we will definitely be back.”
“Pro: The coffee drinks. My husband got the macchiato and I got a latte. Both very tasty!Con: The Bavarian creme long John. I think it lacked flavor in the filling and the frosting. But, I'm comparing to the best donut shop that's actually in my home town of Findlay OH... Fort Findlay Donut shop.”
“Very friendly place. New owner very friendly. Talked to everyone, not afraid to jump behind the bar and help out. Parking attendants we're a big help. The outside was amazing. Telling all my friends about it.”
“We were happy to make our choice for lunch at Kristi's Pour House. Yummy hot beef sandwich and homemade potato soup. Service was fast, pleasant and welcoming. We will be back. Sharing review with family to make it their choice while on summer vacation. Parking was easy and close by for our RV.”

“My travels have brought me to the small town of New Era a couple weeks ago. It was the only place in town. When looking online at the menu, it looked short, but I was hungry so I gave it a try. They specialized in grilled cheese and tomato soup. Why not? It was a rainy day. This place did NOT disappoint. They brought me this huge stuffed grilled cheese sandwich with piles and piles of ham on it. It had cream cheese on it, which was questionable, but was surprisingly delicious! At $14 for a grilled ham and cheese and tomato soup, simply the best I've ever heard..and that's comparing against a grilled cheese served in Switzerland that was claimed as being a world renowned grilled cheese and one of the best in the world. This place beat them out, hands down. While I most likely won't be back to this little town, I will miss this gem in the middle of the Mid-northern Michigan wilderness. Stop and try it. It may be a couple miles off the highway, but it WILL be worth it!”
