“I was so excited to try House of Umami as I love ramen. We visited for the first time on Easter. The decor is very nice, music was playing an a very reasonable volume. Our server was great!!!! The food......yummy. I got the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen, it was rich, hearty and very tasty! My spouse got the Ahi Tuna bowl. He very much enjoyed, but had one recommendation. The wasabi was buried at the bottom of the bowl, somewhat mixed in. His recommendation (and would likely order this way next time) have the wasabi on top where consumer can see and monitor how much they get in one bite. We also tried the plumb sake, yum! Will most definitely be back!“
“I have been here a bunch and I never have a bad visit. Each time I go I try to get something new that way it never gets boring. I’ve had the teriyaki salmon, I’ve had the sushi(both cooked and raw, bento boxes, and a ton of their appetizers and every time I am impressed. Not only is the food good but so is the staff. I do wish they would be open all day but aside from that, nothing but good things to say about this place!“

“Koji has the most consistent experience in sushi that I've encountered. The quality is always exquisite and second to none. For being such a high quality restaurant the prices beat out all the rest and are comparable to any sushi goer. I eat sushi very often yet no one can match the quality of koji's sushi. “Went here for a quick lunch. Service was fast, food came out pretty fast and fresh of course. There was a mix up with my soup so I didn't get that on time. I got the yum yum roll and miso soup. The yum yum was very delicious and had everything that I liked on a sushi roll. To be honest, I did not like the way the restaurant was set up. The tables are very close together and a couple ended up sitting on the side from me and boxed me in. The next time I go here, I will pick a different spot or just get my food to go.“

It appeared like he had approx. twelve million orders, but still made time somehow to chat and ensure good service. He's a great asset to your business! “I came here because I was tired of eating rice. I received a special lunch set of tekka bowl and warm soba noodles. It's been a long time since I've had Japanese food and it made me feel at peace. There was also a cute Japanese staff member, which made me feel warm.“
“I love this place!!!!! if you want some pretty legit casual japanese AND Korean food.... this place is fantastic! the staff/ownership are super nice, the food is real, what more could you ask for? had the takoyaki today and holy moly was that awesome. tempura avacado with honey is delicious. bibimbap in the hot stone bowl is top notch. katsu curry rules. obviously their sushi is well made sushi. but there's so much more to this place than sushi. the wife enjoys the chicken fried rice. I always go in craving sushi and end up getting more. I've been going here since it opened.“

My boyfriend & I went in last night & of course it’s a night when Michelle isn’t working (she doesn’t work fridays but at the time i didn’t know) There is 5 other tables in there so we are patient (i’m a server myself, i know it’s hard to deal with so many tables at once) but i noticed almost everybody around us already had there food. (maybe 1/5 tables didn’t have their food) We sat down, 2 mins later she comes to give us our menus, we come here pretty often so we don’t need menus & the stuff we wanted weren’t on those menus anyways, it was on the appetizer menu on the table. 10 mins passes by, nothing. she walks past us 2 times & we don’t even have drinks yet, we set the menus at the end of the table indicating we were ready to order when she had the chance. another 5 mins passes by, she checks on the table next to us / behind us & still does not say a word to us. at this point i’m aggravated because this is 3 times she’s walked past, we’re about 20 mins in & we don’t even have DRINKS yet. end of story, we walked out, like i said, im a server myself & having your table sit there for 20+ mins & not even asking for their drink order is terrible service. Anyways, again, i ONLY recommend going to 888 when michelle is working, maybe she needs to be put on Fridays instead of the other girl.“

“The woman at the front was very quick to take our order and payment. You could see the sushi chef working behind the counter as you wait, which wasn’t long it only took about 4-5 minutes for our order to be ready. We received it and it was warm from being freshly prepared, it smelled amazing on the ride home. Had the spicy cali roll and the novi rolls (16 pieces in total) and it was gone within 10 minutes of being inside our house. SO GOOD. We will definitely be back to try the Ramen and getting more sushi for sure.“

“Food was great! Very authentic Korean and good sushi too!We got the hot stone bowl bibimbap, jajang, and steamed dumplings. We also had rainbow rolls and tuna rolls. Everything was very tasty! It amazed me how the staff handled well such a day. I own a restaurant and understand the situation, also hearing the turmoil of a disgruntled patron made me want to acknowledge and applaud the staff for the dedication they put into their job.
