“One word, AMAZING! Absolutely everything we had was delicious! Fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and incredible food/drinks! Highly recommend!”
“Lamical review We first came here 20 years ago and we’re charmed by the ambiance, the fireplace and the delicious food. Our most recent visit in February 2022, after several years absence, was a sad disappointment. 1. We had to ask the waitress if the cheap hunk of dry buttered bread with a soft crust represented the baguette. Unfortunately it did. It was not sourdough as advertised. The waitress said it was a “wheat sourdough”? Ok, sure. 2. The French Onion soup was saltier than the Atlantic Ocean, was mostly bread filled with few onions, and was topped with mozzarella not gruyere. 3. The entrees were mediocre at beat. I’ve never ordered anything other than the roast chicken and was looking forward to it. The chicken was piled on top of the potatoes and broccoli in nouveau cuisine fashion and was drenched in a weird creamy sauce. The beef bourguignon was served with strange gigantic noodles. Not good. The price fixe items were mediocre. 4. Service was decent. The bus boys did a great job of filling our water glasses, which was appreciated given the salt level. We sadly and regretfully won’t be coming back.”
“I treated my friends to dinner tonight and the service was just as fabulous as the food. Our server was Kateri (Kat) she took great care of us and also recommended some of the food items on the menu. Everything was delish. We are definitely going back. Thanks Kat for your great hospitality 😁”

“The food was amazing! We really enjoyed talking to the owner /chef, all around great experience!”
“Friendly staff, amazing manager, food is fabulous, can’t beat the view, great bar! We love this place!”
“Red Ginger is the full experience. The staff (Randy is our favorite server), drinks, food and atmosphere are simply put… AMAZING! They keep great records for when we call to make reservations. We always get the table we like. They are on top of allergy sensitive issues and are willing to adjust menu items (when they can) so we have more options. We never feel rushed or like they are trying to push us out for another sitting. This is our favorite restaurant to visit!”

“I finally got some JoJo’s cookies yesterday and my goodness…why did I wait so long? I got a 6 pack, and I picked quite a wide variety…but each one is absolutely incredible. The Cookie Butter one in particular…hands down one of the best cookies I’ve ever had in my life! 10/10 recommend”

“While browsing TikTok I stumbled upon a post about your construction. I am so glad that I did. We had some great burgers and fry’s. And the Onion audio with Better Made chips were excellent. Also finding out that they had a Saginaw connection made it that much better. Highly recommended a stop here.”
“Amazing food and drinks, great atmosphere, but the absolute best thing about Taproot is the staff...you will find none better.”

“My Mom had the chili & black bean burger. She loved both! I had the French dip and I was great- the chips seemed homemade. A very quaint space too, but small so while we only waited about ten minutes, I would recommend reservations. Though there is plenty of shopping to keep you busy should you need to wait longer.”
“I grew up in this town but left in 1985. I’ve lived in California since and have eaten at a lot of great restaurants including the Laundry, Chez Panisse, Slanted Door and Mr Chows to name a few. This without a doubt rank's right there. I honestly never thought I’d have a decent thing to eat in this town other than bar food but now I know exactly where it is. If you’re hungry for something exceptional look no further. I have never liked mushrooms, but the mushroom toast was my favorite dish. I can’t believe I’m saying it. Thank you Jen and to the staff for a great evening Looking forward to going back.”
“While searching for a place to grab a quick bite before I had to be to the school to get my son, I found Identity. And I'm so glad I did! When I walked in, I wasn't bombarded with questions, I was able to walk over to the cooler and look at their selection. I didn't see anything in there that I wanted, however it looked fresh and yummy. But I didn't want a sandwich. When I approached the counter I was met with a happy male employee. He showed me where the daily specials were and handed me a menu too. I was able to quickly glance over the menu with ease. It was big bold letter with prices attached. I ordered the quesadilla after being told it would take less than 5 minutes to make. This was important, I had to get to the school. He quickly went to the back and made my dilla and it's delicious!! I added black beans to it and the cost was still under my price point!
Vegetarian options: Every option you can get without the meat and it would be just as good. However they do have a black bean substitute. They had at least one vegetarian option in every section. This was needed as I am also a vegetarian.
Kid-friendliness: They have a children's menu. The menu is roughly 5 items long. Long enough to give options but not too long that children are flustered. (:”
“My parents and I had an amazing experience at 2 Lads today!
Personally, it was my first time there, and I was not disappointed. The decor and view from the building was fantastic. Terri took great care of us, and also shared some great wine knowledge. She had such an inviting personality and made my experience great. If you have the chance to go, make sure you ask for Terri.
I had a flight of wines, carefully crafted and recommended to my personal taste. I tried the 2023 Crisp Sparkling, 2022 Riesling - Fernweh Vineyard, 2023 Rose of Pinot Gris, and 2023 Late Harvest Riesling. All of the wines I sampled were exceptional in taste.
We also shared a charcuterie board which paired nicely with our selections of wine.
I highly recommend 2 Lads if you are in the area and want an awesome wine list and experience!”
“I went to Farm Club while on a ski trip with my friends and we just loved this place! It has an amazing atmosphere and wonderful food and drink options.”
“Fuji's never disappoints me. My camera skills may haha. Fuji's is a favorite for me to stop in for some sushi and an Old Fashioned or two. Highly recommend ?”

Takeout Restaurants
“Great food friendly service. South East Asian flavor at its finest! I almost felt like I was back in Phnom Penh. The food was so good Asian places in America usually don’t convey what you get in Asian cuisine but this restaurant does. Keep up the good work. Great work guys.”
“My wife and I were looking for a taste of home while we were away on honeymoon. We decided to come by Hexenbelle for its food and drink. We not only found the familiar flavors of fresh bread, savory olive, and creamy labneh, but we found a warmth from the surrounding atmosphere and staff. We were immersed in light toned woods, lush green plants, and ample sunlight, as if we were relaxing in a sunroom or a garden.
We had an opportunity to speak to the owner, Chris, who welcomed us and gave us his attention despite also running the kitchen. Chris has been doing a great service to bring hearts and minds together for peace, prosperity, and freedom, both within Traverse City and for the Palestinian people. His love and passion shows in every dish he crafts, and we are forever grateful for the warmth, friendship, and hospitality that he extended us.
Hexenbelle is truly a rare and valuable gem amongst the many cafes and eateries in the area. I believe Hexenbelle is the best and only choice for authentic Palestinian cuisine and hospitality in Traverse City.
Dishes tried:
-Shakshouka
-Foul Muddamas
-Bayd bil Labneh
-Hummus and Pita
-Palestinian Rice Bowl

-Bee Change

“My new favorite go-to for a healthy yet flavorful meal! I’ve gotten three generations of my family craving this works of delicious art. I even tell strangers about this establishment. The Target courier told me I should become a spokesperson for Playa in TC as I was stressing to him that he needed to take his mom there when she came to town for a visit. Huge selection, great staff, friendly service and the order ahead option is very convenient.”
“Delicious calamari !! The best I have ever had ! Great service provided Comfortable chairs and atmosphere we love the fires burning outside on the patio Nice date night dinner with my husband”
“What a wonderful experience. Truly! They just hired Chef Seth and WOW. Their menu is nothing short of incredible. You are in for a treat. The wine in conjunction with the food is an experience that shouldn’t be passed up. Check this place out. You will not be disappointed.”

“Fun, friendly and energetic staff. they make you excited to get your coffee/Energizer. My daughter was struggling to decide what she wanted and the person taking our order asked her probing questions (like what's your favorite candy, lemonade flavor, lollipop flavor) to help her decide what to get! Definitely recommend!”
“I am very pleased with the service I keep getting. I have a dairy allergy, and they always remove what I can't have and note it on the order. Appreciated and noted!!! Thanks, everyone!
Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate a dairy/egg allergy for me. I then go home and add what I can have.”
“Huzzah! This was so scrum-dilly-umcious in my tummy tum tum! The bagels are divine and the coffee didn’t make me have weird bowel movements so I called that a 10! Anyways the vibes are tubular and I walked out of here today as a nonchalant dreadhead! Oy oy baka! Tootlooo”
“Stopped here on our way out of town and SO glad we did!!! The gingerbread latte and chestnut mocha are both to die for! The molasses cookie that came with the gingerbread latte was also amazing. On top of that, the atmosphere is so cool. Definitely do yourself a favor and stop by when you’re in Sutton’s Bay!”
“Probably one of the best iced mochas around! The chicken pesto sandwich was great and the breakfast burrito was yummy. Only issue is that one of the staff members was not as good as the other staff at the time. The staff member who took our order didn’t get it put in correctly, which we shrugged off initially. Later, we asked for a refill of water and the same staff member said that they “could” give us a refill, but that there is a water fountain in the hallway… weird experience with that employee. Oh well, the rest of the experience was decent.”
“I had the most delightful experience at Bardons, and it was all thanks to the absolutely incredible customer service provided by Elizabeth and Montana. From the second I stepped up to the window, I felt like I was being treated like royalty. I ordered the large blueberry malt, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of a magical treat! Elizabeth's radiant smile and Montana's cheerful efficiency made my visit a true pleasure. Their genuine kindness and impeccable service turned an ordinary trip into a memorable adventure. If you’re looking for not just great food but an experience filled with warmth and care, Bardons with Elizabeth and Montana is the place to go!”
“Great drinks. Great atmosphere. Zach made the best old fashioned.”
“This was a fun and unique winery to visit! We learned quite a bit about the wines served there - all of the grapes come from independent growers in the area, and then staff at the winery make the wine in-house. There was a nice mix of both wine and ciders, and you could get both in your flight. Staff were sp friendly and knowledgeable, and it made the experience that much better!”

“The place to get great Vietnamese food in northern Michigan. I recommend the rare steak pho, shrimp summer rolls, and the bahn mi. Their milkshake style boba tea shakes are very decadent and delicious. Good Thai tea as well. We drive from Petoskey at least once a month to eat here and it’s always very fresh and flavorful.”
“Fun spot with plenty of space and great beer. We visited on a weekend night and there was plenty of room but they were quite busy. There’s an excellent Mexican food truck called Bull and the Bear Kitchen. The Beef ‘n Queso sandwich is fantastic. Loved the beer, also, especially the Czech Pale Lager.”
“I posted this on Google as well: Rounds was amazing! We were traveling (from Canada and Chicago) and were meeting up for lunch. We chose Rounds and so glad we did! We had a party of 5 and they were really busy when we came in. They quickly cleaned off a table and sat us. I had to ask about the name and thought maybe it was because of the counter in the middle of the restaurant. Our waitress was awesome and super attentive. She explained that the restaurant used to be a circle before the expansions and even brought over a picture of what it used to look like! The food came out quick and was delicious. As we were leaving we noticed we were the only ppl left in the restaurant and realized they closed at 2pm and it was 3! The entire staff were very friendly even though they must’ve been annoyed we kept them over an hour but not one of them mentioned to us they were closing! Amazing. It was the best dining out experience any of us have had in a while! Thank you so much for your hospitality. We will definitely come back to visit and highly recommend Rounds!”
“Very friendly, fast and smiling staff. Food is excellent and tasty.”
“Our waiter was a VERY nice and attentive young man. Food and drinks were great!”
“I’ve done a tasting here and I have bought bottles of their spirits. Today the wife got a Cherry Vodka Slushy. What the what!!!! It was really good. I like their Rye Whiskey. A must go to!”
“HUGE shout out to Right Brain Brewery. We were looking for a place for a large group (40-50ppl) for a Holiday Party for our Dance Company, The Studio, and was led to this place. They provided a 6’ table for food set up, and many tables reserved just for us. We brought in our own food, enjoyed their beer while the kiddos enjoyed the games they have there. It was the PERFECT spot! Thanks again to all the staff! We will be back!”
“Great views from every angle. Nice outdoor space. Personable and friendly staff. We visited during the winter (slow season) and we were not able to enjoy the outdoor space. Numerous wine options ( sparkling, dry to sweet)”
“everything exelent to me and wife, lobster and clam chowder soup roles , coffee”

“Have been buying Asiago Roasted Garlic bread for years. Great Bread toasted loaded with real garlic cloves. However the last loaf lacked any Garlic at all. Very disappointed is this the new norm to be expected or was this an aberration? The latter I would hope otherwise we will be opting for a new bakery. Have a nice day ?☀️”
“I was very disappointed with my donuts. As it is they were kinda pricey. But I really don’t mind paying if it’s worth it. I took my donuts home and out the bag and my nutty donut were gross. It was like they got wet I don’t know what happen to them. I had the little nutty donut hole before and they tasted good. This was the regular size donut. I seen on the receipt they offer a refund. But such an inconvenience to drive the way back and have to wait in line. Especially when you worked all night. Who wants a wet & cold nutty donut. I know I don’t. Sorry Pottery Bakery. You got a thumbs down from me.!”

“I stopped in for breakfast this past Saturday, May 18 and was so impressed with my server Nikki and the terrific Popeye omelet and cherry pancakes, I came back Sunday morning May 19 and had an equally terrific experience, courtesy of Rae, who served me an equally tasty Albuquerque omelet. Both Nikki and Rae were positive, professional, prompt and refreshingly upbeat. In an economy that is all too often focused on commodities, the service your team provided made the food, that much better. I'll definitely be back, the next time I'm in Traverse City and of course, recommend the Flap Jack Shack to people who are traveling there. Please pass my appreciation on to Nikki and Rae, as well as their manager, who has obviously been instrumental in creating a service-first team! ps. I asked Nikki for some chocolate syrup for my Cherry Pancakes and she cheerfully obliged. You should put it on the menu, it's the bomb!”

“Date: Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025.
We went to dinner at North Peak.
The pork chop with cherry sauce on top was scrumptious.
My wife had the delicious crusted chicken sandwich.
Our kids were happy as pie with their pizza and burger.
Our server Jack is a seasoned pro who was kind and attentive.
Nice Job North Peak! What a great place.
