“On Friday, February 6, we went to Capitol Grille. It has been our “Go to” restaurant for birthdays and anniversaries for many years, except the disappointment of our absence during the repairs caused by the fire. The food is excellent, the service superb. This time, however, we went to celebrate a very special event. We had no intention of disclosing the purpose, except to tell them it was a very special event. The hostess that seated us, got my wife to disclose the event. Before we knew it, the Manager, Eric, came to our table, expressing congratulations, etc. Several others, some we knew, and others we did not, also came to our table to express their congratulations. Eric then returned a second time, with more kind words. What we learned during this visit, Capitol Grille is not only about great food, and great service, it is about the people, very special people who made this visit extraordinary. Mike R.”

“I went to Seasons 52 for a work lunch. Out waitress was really nice. I ordered a salmon salad and it was absolutely delicious. Fish was fresh and seasoned well. The salad was lite and refreshing. I would go back there to order that again. They also have a lunch menu where you can get a flatbread and either a soup or salad. Some of my coworkers ordered a flatbread and side salad, they had a lot of food. Everyone stayed their food was good. My salad was $23 and I didn’t have much left over but it was really good. Seasons 52 offer other dishes that also sounds really good.”

We were very pleased with the cleanliness and welcoming appearance. Rick was wonderful in assisting in every way possible, table set up, reducing the music in the back room, refreshing beverages and more. The food was excellent. And the prices very reasonable. We will definitely hold future events here as they occur.”

“Saw this place on Chowdowndetroit. Thought it would be a nice place to take my Filipina wife for her birthday meal. It was like walking into a nice simple restaurant back in the Philippines. Even had the Filipino favorite past time a Karaoke machine just like back home. The only thing missing were the chickens running around outside crowing. The owners were warm and welcoming with a sense of humor. The food was just like back in the Philippines flavorful and filling. For the price it was a value for the combo meal the right amount of food for one person or split between 2 for a light meal. Of the 4 of us eating I was a piggy and ate it all but the other 3 had leftovers to take home. They offer other thing Filipino to go items from the little Filipino (Sari-Sari) store they have. Overall, it's a place I would drive to from Lansing (1hr 20 min drive) again for on a special occasion. This is a slice of the Philippines in metro Detroit.”

Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Baked Beans and Hush Puppies are ALL EXCELLENT. The Coleslaw could have been a bit creamer, but we didn't come here for veggies or salad. Loved their sauces as well. We will definitely be back and bringing friends.”

“We've been eating here regularly and the food has become consistently good. Their vada pav is flavorful it's one of our favorites now. The chole tastes different from the usual style but delicious in its own way, and the samosa chaat is always enjoyable. Recently we tried the paneer tawa masala and veg kolhapuri, and both were excellent. The only dish we still don't prefer is the pav bhaji, but overall consistency in food quality has improved a lot and we enjoy coming back.”

Crispy golden fried chicken paired with a spicy seasoned sauce always delivers the ultimate enjoyment. In addition, the standout menu item here is the rosé tteokbokki. I highly recommend the rosé tteokbokki. The friendly staff are also an indispensable highlight of this restaurant.”

“We had an excellent experience eating brunch at First Watch! Our server was Bree and she was extremely nice, kind, and attentive. The breakfast tacos were incredible (substituted potatoes instead of barbacoa) and the chocolate chip pancakes were balanced and not too sweet.

“I had a large order scheduled, and I could tell when I went in that they were slammed with customers. The manager was hyping his employees up and telling them they were rockstars for handling the pressure. My food was just a few minutes late, but I could tell they were triple checking my order to make sure I got everything. In a stressful moment like that, you could expect the order to be messed up, but they wanted to make sure that didn’t happen. They were very apologetic of the slight delay, which was unnecessary but appreciated. I was impressed with the teamwork and the manager’s kindness to me and his employees. I look forward to going back.”

“I came to Umai Café in Troy for my birthday because I really wanted to try their soufflé pancakes — and they did not disappoint! They were light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. We also tried the sando, which was just as good — flavorful and satisfying.

The café itself has such a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff were very kind. The only small hiccup was that the posted hours said they open at 11:30, but they didn’t open until 12:00, so keep that in mind if you’re planning an early visit.

Overall, it was a wonderful birthday treat, and I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu!”

Less than 2minutes of sitting down, they bring my chips + salsa & guacamole! The salsa has quite a bit of a kick in heat, and the guacamole cools down the tastebuds and tastes like it has hints of lime and cilantro.

The main course: the steak burrito! You do have to pay 3$ extra for the steak, but it's so worth it! Everything is nice and tender, I recommend with the pinto beans for the burrito... Everything is well balanced and cooked deliciously!

“wanted to treat an entire Senior Living community on Rochester Rd to some great pizza. I ordered party trays from Jeffrey several days ahead and everything was was perfect. I wanted to get them double cut, and next time I probably will, but seriously, I saw people > 85 (men and women) eating 2 BIG pieces, it was like serving them gold! In the past, I would bring a few Little Ceasars (because of budget -- I just donate this stuff) but this time I wanted something special. We were celebrating my mom's 95th birthday .... so I wanted to splurge. It was 100000X better than Little Ceasars and everyone loved it. Jeffrey was so nice, so professional and helpful and whomever made the pizzas that day (my husband picked them up, he said it was two women in the shop) they did an awesome job, each pizza looked and smelled beautifully, The residents were even "caught" sneaking pieces to thier apartments for later ... and it went so fast, I never even got to have some. I always order from this Jets (it is just better than the one on Auburn) and I hope corporately you please give Jeff and big thumbs up! I ordered hamburgers too, but the pizza was the hit of the party. They don't get this treat often, so Thank you guys for a job well done!”

The sandwich I got impressed me. Probably legit one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. I loved the seasoning, need to find out what's in it.

It’s 4 PM and somehow this place is completely empty. And the cinnamon roll? Unreal. It tasted like a real cinnamon roll, not one of those overly processed, fake tasting franchise ones. You know the difference immediately. This had that homemade, bakery-quality flavor, rich cinnamon, perfectly soft dough, warm all the way through, with that melt-in-your-mouth texture that’s both fluffy and gooey at the same time.

If you’re anywhere near Troy and you’re craving something sweet, go here immediately. No hesitation. No second guessing.

“Our experience at Stella’s was simply outstanding — Kaitlyn provided some of the warmest, most attentive service we’ve ever had at a restaurant, checking in at all the right moments without ever feeling intrusive. Every dish we ordered was phenomenal: the steak bites were perfectly seared and melted in your mouth, the vodka penne pasta was rich and beautifully balanced, the chicken masala had incredible depth of flavor, and the spaghetti carbonara was silky, indulgent perfection. The only small suggestion I’d offer is to swap the table black pepper for a pepper mill so guests can enjoy fresh cracked pepper — a tiny touch that would elevate an already exceptional dining experience. We’ll absolutely be back, and we’ll be asking for Kaitlyn!”
