“First time here, and BOY WAS IT PACKED. Told we'd have a 45 minute to an hour wait but ended up about 20. The cheese nugs were absolute heaven with creamy mozzarella inside a panko bread and fried just right. I couldn't decide between the Hawaiian style burger or the mushroom one...so I got both. The Hawaiian burger had a sweet teriyaki glaze but not overly so and a grilled pineapple ring on a pretzel bun. Was amazing. Took the shroom burger to go! Wife had their fish and mojos and she devoured the whole plate. Karlee B took great care of us while a huge party of about 40 was in the room next to us. Even with that chaos she still checked in on us and was a very wonderful part of our date night. We capped off the meal with their elephant ear fries and caramel sauce and I'm now writing this from a sugar coma. 15/10 for this gem of a place in Elkhart and we'll definitely be back.“

“Service was not great was done with my whole first plate at the buffet before anybody brought drinks or rolls.. Floors were not clean throughout the restaurant as well. When we checked out they asked how our meal was and I told them the meal was fine, but the service was lacked. And they didn't even ask any questions. Very disappointed.“

More difficult to have conversations across the table, but we did have a table of 8 so it was understandable. I would recommend doing a quieter evening during the week because the food was worth the visit.“

“Came here for my wife's birthday. Kinda slow for a Saturday night just after 5:30. Got seated right away. Our server was not long behind our seating and we had appetizers of their cheese stuffed ravioli with marinara sauce. The were delicious but the star of the show was their marinara sauce. So flavorful I could buy a gal. Of it if I could. Then we ordered their perch dinner with broccoli salad and baked potato and the chicken with shrimp.and fries. Both dinners were delicious and juicy. Plenty to take home also. We didn't have any room for dessert. You have to go here if you want good food and drinks.“

“Went to Texas Roadhouse while traveling thru Elkhart Indiana. Sadie was my server and she was fabulous. She checked on me several times. My food was really good as I expected. Since I was a first timer at that particular store I got a coupon for a free appetizer. I’ll be using that at a local Texas Roadhouse.The manager came by to take to me. We had a good conversation. Unfortunately I can not recall her name.Great experience. I’ll stop by on my next trip through.“

“My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful evening here with friends listening to live music. The food was outstanding. I ordered 3 appetizers. Brussels sprouts, fried mushrooms and the Knockout Shrimp all were delicious. The room was full with several big groups but Ashley our server did an amazing job to keep everything going. They have live music Wednesdays and Fridays. We will become regulars.“

“We are not from the area and had to get something to eat. We stopped at one place saw the pricing and just felt uneasy. We left and searched another place. We stopped in on a Tuesday and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in to when we left, This place felt nice. Our Waitress, Amanda came over and she was excellent!! “It was raining and our work crew decided to take a break and have breakfast. Never been there before but I drive past it daily. The menus are just plain typed out on plain paper and laminated. Nothing fancy. Tables and chairs are plain as well. It is kept clean even though it is an old building. Don't let the worn linoleum floor scare you away. That just means there's traffic which is a good sign. Now to the food... I had the Kitchen Sink omelet without Green Peppers. It came with American-style potatoes which looked hand cut and your choice of White, Wheat, Rye toast or English Muffin. I think it was about $9.50. It was the most expensive thing on the breakfast menu (if I remember correctly.) While I wanted the special of the day Cinnamon Roll Waffles, my blood sugar levels would have spiked to new heights and I would have been asleep in 15 minutes. Our server was very nice and she did a great job making sure our group of 7 always had our drinks full and our orders were correct. One of our group, who doesn't get out much, decided to spill his water all over the table. Our server was right on it and was very gracious. It was as though she was used to serving toddlers all day long and spills were no big deal. When the 3 egg omelet was placed in front of me, I could tell right away this was not a standard bland omelet. (I was a short-order breakfast cook for a prominent mom-and-pop coffee shop so I know what a good omelet looks and tastes like) The first thing I noticed where the sliced tomatoes that were cooked within the omelet and not just diced and thrown inside. The smoked ham and sausage were also cooked into the egg. It had mushrooms, onions, cheese, and I can't remember what else. Everything had a savory flavor and you could taste the ingredients. Not like the rubber omelets you get at a chain restaurant. I couldn't stop eating it. I had to force myself to slow down and enjoy it. it's like I was afraid someone was going to take it from me. I really wanted another one. So, if you are into good food and service and aren't worried about the way the place looks (But it's clean), this is the place you need to go. I'm sure if we went a couple of more times, they would know our names and adopt us into the family. When I drive by it now, I'm trying to find an excuse to go back. I don't understand how chain restaurants that serve blah food remain busy while these mom-and-pop places where you can taste the love in their food have empty seats. Anyways... if you want a great place to have a good breakfast at a more than fair price, and be treated as though you are special, I would highly recommend Evan's. (I hear their lunches are great too.)“

“This is more bar than grill. They do sell burgers and quick eats. The food was good. The atmosphere is friendly with lots of smiling faces, however, it looks like a place that you can find trouble quite easily if that’s what you’re looking for. 4 pool tables, a “dart” board, jukebox. The night I went happened to be having karaoke. You must be 21 to enter with valid Id. I can’t rate this place for my liking, only for the experience I had. Hence the 5 stars.“

“This was the first time I've been here. Fantastic fried chicken. It's crispy! It's NOT that crunchy chicken that's too hard to eat. Made fresh, hot. All the food was hot. “went to breakfast with a friend yesterday.. Waited over an hour and a half for our food. When we finally did get it was was amazing per usual. And they only had one waitress running the floor. I gave her a $35 tip. It was the day before thanksgiving. But waiting over an hour and a half for food is a little excessive. I felt so bad for the waitress being the only one running all those tables. I would recommend it but only if you're not in a hurry.“

They can accommodate large parties and even though they were busy, we got a seat right away.The food is decent and non-offensive to the picky eaters (and rather bland for those of us that like more exciting flavors) in your group. We tried a couple of chicken dishes and the chicken was pretty dry and overcooked. But the pork dish was really good.Parking is easy and close.“
