“I have been going here for years and throughout the years I’ve been they have definitely improved! Their ice cream and shakes are amazing! The staff is also very sweet and understanding! Be sure to stop by this summer! I love how they give free soft serves to people that have their name on the board still hoping mine gets on this summer!Parking: Not a big parking lot but there’s also parking in the street! So no matter what it’s not gonna be a far walk to the window!Kid-friendliness: They are very friendly towards kids and even have names on the board everyday for a free cone. They are also very patient with children.Wheelchair accessibility: Almost all the way around their building is cement from the parking lot to the building! So you can easily roll a wheelchair“
“Went for dinner on Saturday night the place was packed we where offered to take the bar we did. We only had drinks (you can eat at the bar) service and drinks where amazing! We decided it would be best to make reservations and come back for dinner. Great place.“
“I had the cod, my husband had the shrimp. Both were delicious!! The staff was very friendly! It was really busy and took a long time to get our food but it was understandable considering how busy it was. The spring rolls were delicious too!! I will be back often!“
“Recommend! The only bar to need to go to in downtown Wyandotte! Drinks are always great, well mixed and made, and always quick even with a crowded night with a wait out the door. Service is phenomenal, no bar I’ve been to compares to the friendliness, chill vibes and personable experience you get from Grand Dad’s waiters/bartenders. Brittney is usually our waitress and we all love her, great part of the team! The owners always seem present when we visit and they are always, always helping out (cleaning tables, helping at bar, running food, etc), that is awesome. Highly recommend going to Grand Dad’s, it’s always a great time!Parking: Parking available along Sycamore St but limited. Free parking lot available by Yack Arena at end of storefronts building.“
“Our usual server, Erin, makes this place our go to for family dinners. The food has been AMAZING since the new ownership, but Erin’s service has made Sports a standout for our family. She is quick to attend to our needs, and she’s always extra kind and attentive to our son and our dog (when the patio is open). I highly recommend Sports for anyone who loves good food and good service.“
“I enjoyed having a space to stop and get a healthy, fresh meal while I was downtown. I liked that there were counters and stools along the wall so I could sit and eat before driving back home. The service was fine; it definitely had a fast food feel to it.“
“This place has a cool atmosphere and good vibes. The food is great and there’s many choices to pick from. I really enjoy the unique Thai Classics at Bangkok 96 and the fresh made ice cream that they have. Staff is super awesome and very friendly. this place will be the spot to be at in the summertime months, enjoying both the inside and outside atmosphere“
“Unbelievable pizza, seriously. Best pizza I have EVER had, no joke, and I've had a lot! Cooked perfectly, every aspect of the pie on point in a major way. Godly crust...for real. Friendly greeting with a smile upon entry, owner told us about their history and recent addition/renovation. This is everything you want in a pizza place. A+, 10, , however you wanna put it. Excellence in primo pies abound here.“
“Best Thai meal at a restaurant I’ve had. Sensational. This place is worth the drive. I see a lot of reviews about small plates. That’s probably if you do the taste testing option. My daughter and I each ordered our own meal and the proportions were large enough to bring leftovers home. The flavors are incredible. They are deep and layered, and have the perfect spice. My daughter had the Jungle Mussels. The broth could be a meal on its own with the garlic toast to dip in it. The chicken curry (KHAO SOI ) was also the most flavorful version I’ve had. My only pause was the whole drumstick. I would have preferred smaller pieces in the broth than picking apart the chicken off the bone. The Coconut pan cake appetizer was fun and different. So delicious. My daughter had the non-alcoholic blackberry and cardamom tea. I had the Special Thai tea with rum. Both were delicious and complimented the meal well.My daughter was treated with a desert of coconut ice cream with a crumble topping and sauce. Was so good, no other ice cream desert could compare. The service was attentive and had a menu prepared for us to indicate the allergens we needed to avoid. The atmosphere was laid back and casual and tastefully decorated in a fun, modern and crisp way. Can’t wait to go back.“
“Delectable, Dynamic, and Down to earthWhen you first walk into Warda Patisserie, you are delighted by the salivating smells wafting from the kitchen and the delectable arrangements of pastries, leading your eyes (and stomach) further into the shop.Feasting first, with the eyes, you will notice that the flavor combinations on the pastries are out-of-the-ordinary (with a flavor to match). For example, Ube Flan, Yuzu Mousselline, and Mango Black Sesame Financiers, to name a few. I asked the staff about the inspiration for the flavors and was informed of Warda Bouguettaya's global pastry education. I even had the opportunity to meet her, as she was standing right behind me! For being an award-winning, critically acclaimed chef, her humility and centeredness spoke loudly!I was eager to try these treats and chose an item she recommended: her Ube Flan. It was an excellent balance of flavor, not too sweet, adorned with toasted coconut, and an excellent start to my Saturday. Also, the space, although intimate and close-quarters, was not loud for a Saturday morning. Every table was filled, but people were quick to enjoy their pastries and then get on with the rest of their day. With a friendly and knowledgeable staff, Warda's Patisserie should be a must-go if you are looking for delicious treats, a good way to start the weekend, or an excuse to treat yourself. Anyway, if you are looking for a superb bakery then look no further.“
“Everything was delicious! We tried 5 different types of savory empanadas (beef Mendoza, beef salta, chorizo, chicken, and spinach), two of the sweet, three of the sauces, the chipas, and an alfajor. It's hard to say which was the best. I have to be disappointed by anything. They even sell them frozen to-go!I normally don't like olives, but I enjoyed the empanadas with them as much as the ones without.“
“Excellent beers brewed on site. The saison was particularly delicious. The location is gorgeous with great seating and local art on display. Nice seating outside. Dog friendly inside and out. There are a bunch of board games available and when we went there was a nice food truck.“
“Exceptional location with a wide variety of drinks. We come from windsor (Canada) just for this place. The best part for us is that it's dog friendly. They are receptive to ordering food from outside and bringing it in which I admire. And best of all, you can break up a six back if you just want a single beer! Love it, can't wait to come back“
“OMG. Best pizza we have had in a very long time. I've stalked them on Facebook for awhile. We were in Detroit for training and we grabbed 2 pies on the way to our hotel. Holy crap. As close to pizza perfection as you can get. Whenever we go to another city or state, I always look up best rated pizza places so we have had a lot of good pizza. Pie-Sci is in the top 2 of all the pizza places we've had. it makes me sad that they are 3 hours away but it will become a must stop when we are near.“
“Was looking for a new authentic Mexican food truck. Usually go to another one in the area, they blow them out the water. I got a carne asada torta, it was an 11/10. Super flavorful, extra cheese, a lot of meat and a very nice size for $12. Service was excellent and food was ready fast. Will be returning.“
“First time dining at Cork and Gabel for a date night and it was an amazing experience that made us feel like we were the only ones there in the middle of a packed restaurant. We loved the decor/design and menu - and our experience chatting with the staff member, Rick. We got to order a custom drink and had the bartender personally bring it to me. It was all so delicious. Thank you so much for the hospitality and kindness, as well as for our cool waiter, Alex. Can't wait to check it out again.“
“Custard here is still too airy for me, but Custard Corner is the clear winner in the local debate vs Bob Jo's. The flavors here taste much less artificial, plus this location cannot be beat, especially if you want to go for a lovely walk with your ice cream in the nearby Elizabeth Park! It's gorgeous. This whole neighborhood is cute AF. Service was friendly and super quick. They offered real hard shell that had a good flavor. We ordered small twist custard cones and had the most delightful time wandering nearby with them.“
“Decided to try here after passing by and this was a great decision I made. I ordered the Frozen Fruit Tea consisting of Pineapple & Strawberry with mango popping boba, and it was one the best drinks I’ve ever had.The staff was absolutely friendly and amazingly helpful. They even let me try the boba before committing to it.I’ll be back for sure. Thank you for a great experience.“
“Summertown Fresh has a variety healthy food options in Corktown - the food is freshly prepared right in front of you. They made a juice for me and literally pureed/blended the veggies as I waited. The staff is friendly, there is street parking in front, and they have a great light-filled space that is great for hanging out, having a meeting, or getting some work done on the laptop (free wifi). They also cater sandwiches and other foods for local businesses.“
“Fire Ass Vegan is located inside Fresh Rootz. The menu offers so many great options that it is hard to choose. I can't wait to try everything. The staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is cool. I'm looking forward to my next visit.“
“Fabulous experience! As a City fan, we went to watch City v Arsenal here because our regular pub was closed on Easter. The service was spectacular, and the food was even better. Many thanks to the Arsenal supporters club for being gracious and friendly!“
“Had a great time with a couple of my friends. The bartender was very respectful and attentive and even though the card machine went down he let us leave to continue our amazing night meeting with our other friend. The bartender was very friendly and I look forward to returning and paying the tab I was unable to pay and buying one of their shirts in my size“
“It was my first time coming and I was NOT disappointed!! The man at the register was very kind and helpful. I couldn’t decide what to get as it was my first time so I asked him to pick whichever he think I would like and he was right!! The chicken was perfectly cooked and not dry at all, the sauce was amazing, the customer service was a 10/10, and the set up of the truck and the outdoor seating was so cute!! I’ll for sure be back to try more ?“
“Great local spot. The staff are willing to work with customizing items or offering recommendations. I love that they have dole whip and vegan flavors available for people with dietary restrictions or allergies. And I love ordering a pint of dole whip to go to enjoy at home. The Misty’s are my favorite. Prices are great and our whole family can enjoy a treat for a reasonable price. So glad it Re-opened, the new owners and employees are doing amazing.“
“Currently, my favorite watering hole downtown (one of several for sure). I can't get enough Elephant Juice and 313 IPA. Even better if you bring a traditional Mitsos gyro with you (across the street). The gods must be crazy putting so much decadence so close together.“
“This is an odd and difficult review. You can't leave half stars on Google, otherwise this would be 4.5. Don't want to leave 4, 5 it is.The beer, excellent. The Winter Lager is better than the Boston brand version.Camping Beer is amazing. Was so good brought 4 home.Food we had was great. Had their version of a Smash Burger. The one thing I'd like additional would be pickle slices. One thing I NEED on a burger... MUSTARD! There was none available. That made it a 3 star meal LOL. Also, you have to serve yourself. Which is fine. For the great pricing on the burger and fries, I'll carry my food. And the fries...incredible to me.Bartenders. Friendly, helpful and thoughtful. I ordered a beer that came in a can. Bartender poured it in the glass and handed me the can because there was a splash left. I have never experienced that in 35 years of going to bars.Definitely a good stop and will be back.“
“We’ve gotten Dooped Donuts twice downtown and once at the Ferndale Project and they are are always amazing! We decided to order two dozen for our baby shower and they did not disappoint. They were a huge hit and nobody could believe they’re vegan. They’re THE best! Our favorite is the cinnamon swirl!“
“I just went inside the business for coffee. The service was great. The employee was engaging and the decor is niceWheelchair accessibility: Door entrance and common areas are spacious enough for mobility devices and have accessible bathrooms“
“Cocktail menu is absolutely outstanding, and you can buy everything you need to make them here. Great small grocer selection and awesome local beer selection, great curated selection of liquors and staff Is SUPER helpful and attentive. Great place to start or end a night, and even catch a game.“
“Parking sucks! Otherwise, it's a great place.Cool, repurposed location, friendly beertenders, friendly locals.Monthly euchre? I'll be back for that. Weekly trivia, too.12 taps of their own tasty liquids, well-labeled & easily read.“
“This place is FANTASTIC. The food is in a league of its own. The dishes were loaded with fresh herbs and the spices were very delicately balanced. The Sambar soup was on special tonight and it was the best I’ve had. The service was great and the food came out fast and hot. I recommend this place. If I would give it six stars I would.“
“This was definitely a treat for the family. Services was fantastic and they had plenty of staff making the rounds to ensure guests had what they needed. Not too intrusive though. If you like steak, you want to put Prime & Proper on your bucket list.“
“The two young ladies that were working the day we were there were very attentive to the customers. The custard ice creams we bought were assembled with care and precision. They are very generous with the toppings that they put in their Flurries which I greatly appreciate !! A must visit !!“
“Place is as inviting as the workers! Games to play. Full food menu. Tons of beer options. Call to coordinate a weekend tour. Scott and other employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Rooftop open seasonally. City Pour is a tasty fruit flavored beer!“
“Been looking for a third place to just chill & work since I work hybrid and this place is perfect! Calm & chill during the day with free wifi, great beer and retro games for when I want to take a break. They also have comedy shows & events at night. Great vibe all around“
“Rose latte and tomato basil soup are *cgef’s kiss* delicious. I recently visited three days in a row because of how yummy the food. It is a tiny restaurant and the prices are in the more expensive side (20% tip is factored in to the prices). There is a good amount of street “
“So... I never knew about this place for brunch. Wow, one of the better brunches I've had period. We had the shrimp and grits and the vegan biscuits and gravy. To sum our meal up...as the kids would say...it slapped!! It was so damn good. The shrimp and grits came with two polenta cakes. Then smoothed in a creamy sauce, topped with a pile of shrimp and bacon. You can't go wrong! The shrimp had a Cajun seasoning on them that tasted great with the cream sauce. The grilled toast points was a perfect addition to soak up some of the sauce.I only sampled some of the vegan biscuits and gravy. From what I tasted the gravy was rich and flavorful. The tofu scramble was seasoned well and it had a nice mix of peppers and onions it tasted pretty good.Overall I highly recommend this place for bunch.“
“These are such a cute gift. In the mid to high priced range, but worth every penny. The babes babes babes are always helpful when I go into the Detroit shop to get gifts for others, and I love that every. Single. BON. Is HANDMADE. LOCALLY. And always extraordinary flavor combinations. Thank you for providing an amazing experience and showing another side of how innovative Detroit can be. Love y’all.“
“I love this place and wish they were open all year. The pricing tends to differ depending on who waits on you. The custard is really good and the coconut flavor is my favorite! I also like the drive through even though the speaker seems to cause issues. I do wish they gave the total before pulling up to the window. Overall I definitely recommend this place!“
“Wanted to have a Windsor style pizza (we're from Detroit) before going to the Diana Ross concert. We were a little skeptical when we first arrived (5:00pm) and were the only patrons there. BUT the manager was very welcoming, our server was great and the pizzas were amazing. We ordered 2 Windsor's, 2 Margarites, 1 meat lovers and 1 garlic bread. 6 people devoured all of this ~ they were that good! The beer and wine selection was good too. I'd go back just for that darn delicious garlic bread!!!“
“We love this place in the summer when the patio area is open. Drinks are always hit or miss, but this time we came and they had the sippin Santa pop up menu which we've had elsewhere and the drinks were fantastic! Bartender told us a lot about the pop up and made great drinks. My husband ordered a whiskey ginger and he used a fresh ginger syrup which took the drink up a notch. Always will be back.“
“Best authentic momos one can find in Detroit!! Their pan fried and deep fried momos are my all time favorite. They give different dips for the momos which are mouthwatering. I would recommend getting green and red chutneys. This is the place if you are a foodie and you love momos(dumplings). Also don’t miss out their veg fried rice.Located inside Detroit Shipping Company. You can either take to go or just grab a table and enjoy your momos with live music and a drink from Nextdoor bar.“
“My friends and I went on a night with live music and had a TIME! The atmosphere was welcoming and fun. But the food was incredible! We got Korean wings (my favorite ever), pasta, fries and French 75’s.This will be a favorite all year for us and we’ll return for sure!“
“Located one block away from the rear of the Masonic complex. Limited street parking, nearby pay lots, one free lot that is hard to find. This portion of strip is not revitalized yet and looks pretty rough. This is a complex of stacked up shipping containers. They are arranged in two courts areas, one roofed, the other open to the sky, with two floors, one being a balcony type arrangement. This is bar and food court operation, ordering at each station. Great. Lots of choices, nice employees, clean, bright, well maintained. Food was good. Sole issue is that the open courtyard had a huge tent in it for drinking and listening to music, and it smelled badly of rot inside.“
“The people are very nice and set a kind atmosphere. The restaurant seem very welcoming and looks amazing. The food there is nothing to laugh at and is some of the best. My personal fav is the oh Canada pizza but there is a wide variety of foods you can have.“
“The custard is great and lots of options. Punch cards are 1/10 stamps per transaction (regardless # of items) and redeemable for only plain custard, which is not ideal because the business is largely built around insanely decadent cones, sandwiches, and flurries. Owner responded that there will be a new system for summer 2024 and looking forward to that.“
“Great selection of booze and grocery ite.s. My favorite the the lovely ladies working and running the deli amd hot foods sections. All items are homemade and made fresh daily. Theres salads, subs, pizzas, fried chicken and much more. Highly recommend going for lunch or dinner!“
“Pretty good experience with this place. Much like Los Arcos, a few blocks over, it is a grocery store but has an area where you can order food and sit down to eat.I came in here for Taco Tuesday and for $1.50 per taco, you really cannot beat the price.I ordered the carne, pollo, and chorizo tacos. I found the carne and the polo to lack flavor. The chorizo, however, was definitely above average and was something that would make me return to this place. If you sit down and eat, they offer chips and salsa. The salsa is definitely some of the higher quality that I've had. It was fresh and pretty flavorful. They also served 2 verde sauces and one red sauce, both of which were in a bottle. One of the verde sauces was creamy, which was my favorite sauce of the three provided. As far as the grocery store, one thing that stood out was the large variety of drinks. There are many Mexican favorites and they also sell Mexican beer. The staff is very friendly. They also know English quite well, which isn't always the case when I go to Mexican places like this.Overall, this place is worth checking out. The service is efficient and friendly. I recommend going on Taco Tuesday when tacos are $1.50 each. The chorizo tacos are the best, in my opinion.“
“We had drinks here today and my vodka and cranberry only cost $4.50ea (as of 09/26/23) which is the cheapest I’ve found in a while! And the bartender who is also the owners daughter is super sweet! We had a great time! This is definitely a place we’d visit again! There is no food besides some chips!“
“It's closing weekend and we just had to go back to Bob Jo's to get our fix before the 7 month closure. They're only open Mid-April through Mid-September.Large Custard Twist in a Cup ($3.60) - Decadent, heavy, creamy, dense, everything you could want from a great frozen custard. Bob Jo's almost always has a pretty long line, so you know they have great turnover and you can expect to get freshly churned custard. Prices are only around 10 cents more than last year, but they've also undergone some shrinkflation (the current large cup is only around 2/3 the size of the large last year). Still, definitely worth the price for such a great custard! There's a reason Bob Jo's always has a line (don't worry, it moves fast). Go and get some custard; you won't be disappointed. Just make sure to bring cash!“
