“This is a great little gem of a place, nothing fancy but the food was terrific so was the service and the cocktails. We walked in on a Friday night about 7 pm place was pretty full. Waiter said right away the wait time for food was a hour. He put a couple of tables together for us cause we said it was fine there were 6 of us. The waiter was attentive to our needs kept drinks full and water too! Overall I don't think anyone had anything bad food wise or other! ,”
“I was visiting my brother in Esko and we were looking for a place nearby for a light meal. I'm vegetarian but he's not, which limited our options. So happy we found this place. It's a lovely cafe in a pleasant town that serves fresh and delicious food. We were greeted at the door by the friendly employee who prepared and served our food. I had the egg sandwich on a bagel and my brother had the bowl, which we were both pleased with. Overall, a relaxing and satisfying experience.Vegetarian options: Egg sandwich”
“Stopped here for a break on the way to Ely. It was during lunch hour and the parking lot was full, but there was still room to park. The service quick and efficient. We just had a beverage having eaten earlier. This is a sports bar with lots of TVs, pool tables and darts ?”
“I did not stay here. My family and I ate at the buffet here Thursday evening for crab legs. Definitely use the open table app for a reservation if you want to eat at 3 when they open, reservations become available at 2pm. You really don't need to get there that early though. It wasn't packed and they keep bringing out more crab legs, no need to rush and stack your plate high as some people did.Our servers were great. Soft drinks, milk and chocolate milk are included in the price. Everything was fresh and hot. The prime rib was perfection.”

“Tigs has the best BBQ and sides! We love it and buy it often in the summer, for Thanksgiving and stock up for winter! They are also the kindest people with fantastic customer service!”
“Awesome little coffee shop here in Cloquet by the Walmart! Support this small business if your around, lots of good baked goods too! Try the sunrise iced drink! It’s amazing!”
“When my wife and I get to Cloquet to visit my Son and Daughter-in-law, we go there. One of my all time favorite restaurants. It is a busy place, but no waiting. Large portions and great prices as well. You won't regret stopping there. Not open on weekends though.”

Very friendly service.Parking: About 15 parking spot then street parking.Kid-friendliness: The hamburgers were delicious and the pizza was delicious as quoted by my grandson”
“I suggested this place to my buddy Gabe clonkin after having the absolute banger of the meal of burgers and onions along with a shake. This place feels like the backyard of the state of Minnesota. Absolutely iconic.Wheelchair accessibility: Great wheelchair accessible”
“We have not been there for a couple of years and noticed lots of changes in the dining room. Nice updates friendly atmosphere and good food what more can you ask for. Have been to the Wobegon for 65 years and always liked it here. ”
“Stopped on a whim on the way home from Ely and we will be stopping here every time we come through from now on! Best peach marg I've ever had, chops are fresh and served warm, salsa is fresh and flavorful. Can't wait to be back!”
“Post pandemic improvements really made this a great spot for sports, drinks, dart and pool league as well as events with a space above the bar available for rental. Always good service and an owner who truly looks out for his patrons safety!”
“I got the Peanut butter bacon burger, it was good but the patty seemed small. Person I was with had the gyro and really liked it.They also give a discount if paid in cash.Kid-friendliness: Is a bar also, but restaurant area is large enough and my kids enjoyed their breakfast.”
“Absolutely wonderful experience every time we go there, even when it's a full on dinner rush! Service is stellar, food is absolutely amazing! Tonight I had their catch of the day which was the honey hot salmon - cooked to perfection with a delicious glaze of hot honey to spice it up. And I can't not mention their fresh baked rolls and buns, they are incredible!”
“The only reason I gave 2 stars for the food is because, through no fault of the establishment, our chicken was extremely over cooked. The sad part is, they are short staffed. Another excellent restaurant “falling apart” because of staff shortage. Local restaurants are starting to disappear. I still love Sammy’s!! I sure hope they can get the staff they deserve.”
“A cute, clean and fun country local pub with great people, bands and FABULOUS FOOD. Good specials. The best wings I have ever had and that is saying something. Philly Cheesesteak with au jus is hubby's favorite. Super good homemade pizza and lots more. You will not be disappointed in the food or the service.”
“This place is. Must stop when in Cloquet, this has got to be one of the coolest old bars around. The Fitgers memorabilia is amazing and the atmosphere of this very nicely restored building is fitting to its era. I have driven by this place so many times over the years, I kick myself now for not stopping sooner. The owners enjoy giving you the history of this amazing building. You have to stop and at least grab a drink if passing through Cloquet, MN. I assure you, you will be glad you did!”
“What a hidden gem!! Pulled into the parking lot on a Thursday mid afternoon on our way to Giants Ridge. Lots of cars, good sign!! Went to the bar side and started with a Bloody Mary that was delicious with beef stick, olive and pickle. Got the 1/2 rack rib special that was fall off the bone fabulous! Also got the Lois, which was a hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and beef gravy, it too was very tasty!! Staff was very friendly!! Will definitely be back when we are up this way again!!”
“Solid spot, good ice cream and decent coffee. Reasonably priced as far as things go, sandwiches are mediocre but not bad. Gets slammed in the summer so best to avoid going inside, but there’s a drive thru window along the side.”
“A great place to eat. Simple place with awesome food. Heather is Likely to cook your food, and speak with you. Lots of locals eat there and are welcoming. Carri Ann is server and is top notch.”
“Love this Tavern !Staff, Food, Service, Atmosphere, even their music playlist all five star.If you haven’t experienced this gem it’s worth checking out, you won’t be disappointed. ?????”
“This is real BBQ, folks. A must stop in Cloquet. Things are brand new here, so I expect this place to evolve and progress over time. I'm looking forward to visiting many more times in the future!”
“The enviroment at this establishment is fairly welcoming! After meeting with the owners--whom are very respectable-- I would highly recommend coming here to meet with this family owned eatery. The food here is phenomenal especially their chicken and waffles If I had had to rate this food I would give this a 9/10 the flavor combination is delicious and is unique! After tasting the burger and cheese curds I almost went to cloud 9! I would rate the cheese curds a 8.6/10 and the burger a 6/10. If I would rate this place I would have to say 10/10 highly recommend and I would come again!Kid-friendliness: The kiddos are welcomed!”
“This is a must stop pizza place either heading to, or coming from Duluth, or stopping in Cloquet! This pizza was so good I almost forgot to take a photo of it, hence the missing pieces. This pizza was loaded with fresh toppings and the crust was crisp and fresh, even the middle pieces had a crunch! I highly recommend. 10/10 This was the Full House Pizza: Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Beef, Breakfast Bacon, Canadian Bacon, Green Peppers, Onions, Black and Green Olives, Mushrooms, Cheddar Cheese”
“Perkins every day place, fare food and a fair price. Get what you expect year after year. The strawberry cream crisps are Delicious!Kid-friendliness: They have menus for kids to color”
“They aren’t open very often but Byron and Caroline are very friendly. Breakfast is delicious and super good prices! They also have an assortment of homemade jams, honey, and syrup you can by inside they restaurant. Great small town feel and hospitality. The kids love it.”
“Shoutout to Chad (I think that's his name) for calling to double check my order. I must've misclicked something and he made sure to call me and double check. Shoutout to you, bud!(He was working on 11/15/2020 if I have the wrong name).”
“Nice spot by the river. A few pool tables and good sized dining area inside. Loaded cheese curds with bacon and jalapeños and well seasoned fries. Chicken wild rice is heavy with rice (it's good).”

“My hubby and I stopped by Streetcar. Service was friendly and awesome. We ordered the Nachos. Hands down best nachos I have had. We got the jalepenos on the side (I am a wimp) and no cilantro ( tastes like dish soap to me). They were tasty! The pork and onions and cheese and black beans!! I could have done without the lettuce, but hubby liked it. Salsa and the Sour Cream with chives paired very well. Can't wait to go back to have more!. We have been there in the past and have liked all our food. Great service great food!”
