“The restaurant is beautiful and peaceful, just perfect! While it is rather minor, the waitstaff forgot to refill my requested beverage until nearly the end of our eating. The restaurant only had 3 other tables, so not a case of being too busy. In a restaurant of this caliber and price, I expect nearly 100% every time. Aside from that, we were very pleased with our choices: salmon and French onion soup.”

“We had the hot honey pepperoni and the burrata, 10/10. The hot honey pepperoni was bananas and we can’t wait to get it again. Our 1.5 year absolutely devoured it as well (as seen pictured). Along with the delicious pizza, there was wonderful service provided. So glad we finally tried this place!”

“It looks like a fast food Mexican place, but the food is extra flavorful. You can watch them press fresh tortillas for your order. My kid thinks the quesadillas are extra special. It is all made to order, so there's a small wait, but it is so worth it. Staff are nice.”

“Excellent gluten free selections (ask for the GF menu). And fantastic Creole seasoning. We were there at lunch. My wife ordered the blackened walleye with rice and coleslaw. I ordered the blackened catfish with rice and steamed vegetables. Portions so generous that we will not be eating dinner. We loved the atmosphere inside the restaurant. Also have the option of outdoor seating. Our server Olivia did a fantastic job. Never felt like she was hovering. We felt that the meals were offered at a fair price. We will definitely be back.”

“We were looking for a new breakfast place to try in La Crosse and stumbled upon this one with a simple Google search. I have to say, I rarely give reviews but this one deserves a good one! From the minute we stepped in the door to the very end of our meal, we were treated like family! The staff were incredibly friendly. The coffee was so smooth, I had to ask the waitress where they get their coffee beans from. I ate the kimchi toast with an egg and a side salad, my husband had the breakfast hash with egg and potatoes, and our son had the French toast. I would highly recommend all of these meals (because I tried them all) to anyone who's looking for a gourmet breakfast in this area! We usually go to La Crosse Family Restaurant, but the DAMN Tasty is like 10 notches above this one! At the end of our meal, we took some smoothies to-go, and they were also delicious!! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you!!Kid-friendliness: We brought our 4 year old son, and we sat in a booth. He enjoyed seeing the baked goods and the beautiful plants on the shelf. The kids menu had the perfect kid choices on them, especially for our picky eater!”

They came through within 5 minutes to give it a wipe down. I'M SORRY)-Whatever you select, you will get more than enough food to fill you upThe ordering system is very similar to that of Panera. Put in an order, you get a ringer when your food is ready. Pending on how much food you order, I got $40 for 3 plates, it can take between 5 and 10 minutes. More than enough time to navigate the sauce bar.In the sauce bar, you get the option of radish, cucumbers, and their selection of hot sauces. There are 5 sauces that are clearly labeled. If you have a high tolerance to heat, you won't break a sweet. The sauces are colorful and vibrant.My personal fav is the Avocado sauce, it was the most enjoyable and most flavor out of the 3 I had. In my opinion, the orange sauce (the hottest), the spice is as gone as a Wisconsin 2024 winter. The deeper smoky color sauce was okay.If you have a low tolerance for heat, the sauces offered may be perfect for you. While at the condiment bar, get your limes, it'll add more flavor to your dishes. You'll need it!I purchased Tacos, Tortas, and Quesadillas.The tacos at Taqueria Monarca are monstrous compared to other Mexican style restaurants in the area. A protein serving covers the tortilla surface. You are getting more than your fair share of food. It's a solid taco, at a great price.I got a steak Tortas. Bread was great. The steak was solid. The serving size was huge. It was priced right.The Quesadillas are also a solid choice.Overall, Taqueria Monarca has solid food. It's not as flavorful compared to other places that offer similar menu choices. But Taqueria Monarca offers some real value, for some solid food.If you're looking for a Mexican style restaurant that serves alcohol, easily ranks #1 for the area. Tight on a budget and want solid Mexican food, Taqueria Monarca is a great choice.You see the reoccurring theme: whatever you select, it's solid. I think Taqueria Monarca is better than the fast food Mexican style restaurants. The value is better, but the flavor is okay.”

“Hi there! This place has been a bit of a magical place for my now fiancé and I. We had our first anniversary here and it was incredible. The service, the atmosphere and especially the food. Everyone is kind, friendly, and conversational. By the time the next year rolled around we knew where we wanted to spend our second anniversary and came right on back. It was the 28th of April and as we were going through the specials with the waiter an older gentleman siting a booth away shot his warm voice over and exclaimed how amazing the starter special was. I chatted with him and as the date progressed he offered to take pictures of us, complimented my lovely then girlfriend, and was overall a joy. The waiter came back around and we weren’t getting appetizers—straight into entrees but I ordered the special the man recommended foolishly without realizing that it was a starter and switched my order to the amazing chile shrimp pasta with arugula dish. The man noticed this and smoothly moved to the waiter out of the corner of my eye and before I knew it we had the starter special. It was as good as the man exclaimed. I was going to go offer to buy the man a drink or perhaps chat with him further when he put on his cap and left for the evening. After an amazing time (to be expected when you come here) the waiter announced that the owner had comped our drinks as well. To you sir, whom I assume are the owner of Restore Public House. Thank you very much for such a wonderful evening. You have an amazing place that genuinely seems to have everything a restaurant should be about: good food and good people. I want you to know I proposed that night in your restaurant and she said yes!! I’m hoping your influence spreads wide and who knows? Might have to make anniversaries at Restore Public House a tradition.”

“Beautiful and charming. We haven't seen a hotel of this quality in the U.S. in many places. We stay in hotels more often than the average person due to our jobs. We stayed one night, enjoyed our chocolate very much, and loved our drinks in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and offered help with our rental Tesla (not fun for a first time with a Tesla...long story.) Great job, Charmant. Want to go back to La Crosse just for the hotel.”

“The people are all very nice and friendly, but the prices were a little high for how much food was received. $7 for 2 super tiny tacos with meat, onions, and cilantro. $.50 more for a dollop of sour cream. My husband got a burrito for $14, and he also said it was good, but not worth $14. Also, the menu was difficult to process lol, but other than that, everything else was good!”
