“We dined at Outback awhile ago, our waitress was Sarah. She was wonderful, we had two young children with us and she was very accommodating to their needs and ours. The food was delicious and we were served in a timely manner. Everything was great!”

“If you're on a budget and looking for a lot of food,Taqueria Monarca is a great choice.Let's get all the great stuff out of the way.-The easiest menu to read and navigate-Taqueria Monarca will be the most Mexi-American restaurant in the area (no mental gymnastics when ordering)-A condiment buffet of homemade sauces, limes, cucumbers and radishes-Great place to have solid Mexican food and offers alcohol-Fun environment with indoor and outdoor seating-The CLEANEST Mexican restaurant (I dropped some sauces on the floor, I did my best to clean my mess. They came through within 5 minutes to give it a wipe down. I'M SORRY)-Whatever you select, you will get more than enough food to fill you upThe ordering system is very similar to that of Panera. Put in an order, you get a ringer when your food is ready. Pending on how much food you order, I got $40 for 3 plates, it can take between 5 and 10 minutes. More than enough time to navigate the sauce bar.In the sauce bar, you get the option of radish, cucumbers, and their selection of hot sauces. There are 5 sauces that are clearly labeled. If you have a high tolerance to heat, you won't break a sweet. The sauces are colorful and vibrant.My personal fav is the Avocado sauce, it was the most enjoyable and most flavor out of the 3 I had. In my opinion, the orange sauce (the hottest), the spice is as gone as a Wisconsin 2024 winter. The deeper smoky color sauce was okay.If you have a low tolerance for heat, the sauces offered may be perfect for you. While at the condiment bar, get your limes, it'll add more flavor to your dishes. You'll need it!I purchased Tacos, Tortas, and Quesadillas.The tacos at Taqueria Monarca are monstrous compared to other Mexican style restaurants in the area. A protein serving covers the tortilla surface. You are getting more than your fair share of food. It's a solid taco, at a great price.I got a steak Tortas. Bread was great. The steak was solid. The serving size was huge. It was priced right.The Quesadillas are also a solid choice.Overall, Taqueria Monarca has solid food. It's not as flavorful compared to other places that offer similar menu choices. But Taqueria Monarca offers some real value, for some solid food.If you're looking for a Mexican style restaurant that serves alcohol, easily ranks #1 for the area. Tight on a budget and want solid Mexican food, Taqueria Monarca is a great choice.You see the reoccurring theme: whatever you select, it's solid. I think Taqueria Monarca is better than the fast food Mexican style restaurants. The value is better, but the flavor is okay.”

“Good food, great people! This bar and grill has a small town feel on the backwaters of the Mississippi. Sitting there you are reminded of nights in the country with friends. Cannot go wrong if stopping at Red Pines!”

“The people are all very nice and friendly, but the prices were a little high for how much food was received. $7 for 2 super tiny tacos with meat, onions, and cilantro. $.50 more for a dollop of sour cream. My husband got a burrito for $14, and he also said it was good, but not worth $14. Also, the menu was difficult to process lol, but other than that, everything else was good!”

“I haven't had their food in a few months and it was not as delicious as I remember. The chicken carbonara was blah. It tasted almost seafood-ish. Which I'm not sure if grills were not cleaned between, but It was my first poor experience with their food.”

“This little gem was amazing. They bake their own bread, make their own corned beef, make the tuna salad from scratch per order, and soups from scratch. Owner was incredibly nice (he is a one man show, so just be prepared to wait a few minutes) and had us taste test a new potato soup he was making. I had the Ruben and would good back in a heart beat, wish I had gotten some soup too.”

In my opinion, the prime rib doesn't live up to the cost, most other dishes are well worth it and the beautiful view from the window seats, clean and comfortable environment, upbeat service, and nice flavor manage to mostly make up for the slow service.”

“The go to place when you want a well made cup of coffee for a decent price. I'm a fan of the Jamaican cold brew with brown sugar cinnamon and haven't been let down yet! Friendly staff who also take the time to compliment my little poodle when she's along.. and Dixie conquers the cute little pup cups when offered:).I try to get there every time I'm in the area.”

“It's just so nice and always working so hard to make our wait very minimal. This is a very busy location because of Mayo clinics and hospitals. So them being nice is what we need. It helps get through my hardest”

Tried three different pizzas and were surprised at the deep layers of toppings. Good strong drinks ..Yum! Good variety on menu for those who don't want pizza. “I moved to the area recently and found an excellent sandwich shop. I've been here 3 times and the quality and service have been consistently great. It took me a couple of visits to get the ordering procedure down (I'm a little thick) but now I'm an old hand. First the guy (always the same guy) who greets you (always!) and takes your order is so friendly, warm and just an all around joyful being. Second the sandwich comes fast and is presented like it's an image of the perfect sandwich (if you googled that). It is a simple sandwich, yet somehow elevated (they have a few bougie and unusual ingredients). The bacon is always crisp and appetizing in appearance. The condiments application is always appropriate. And the bread is always fresh. A really good dining experience is so rare these days,but I usually don't call out the bad ones too often (too much negativity these days). I really enjoy handling attaboys though. “I'm pretty critical when it comes to take outI RARELY give a 5 start. But man .. this place deserves it.I ordered delivery. Came in a very reasonable time frame. Even despite having to sit in containers for a little bit to get here. The food was absolutely amazing!!! I had the Mac attack burger with crack fries, my wife had the buffalo chicken sandwich with crack fries and we got our little one a grilled cheese with fries and we ordered a basket of the pretzel bites.The Mac attack.... Get it. It's one of the best burgers I've ever had.Wife loved her buffalo chicken and the little one devoured her meal!The pretzel bites were slightly crunchy on the outside and super soft on the inside. Paired with their cheese sauce it was beyond good!!I have zero complaints and glad I chose here for supper!!! Well done Crossroads Bar and Grill!!!I will be ordering again!”

“Skeleton Crew Brew is a different brewery for the area. They have a lot of fruit forward beers and they also do wine, flights are available for each. Peach, mango, apricot....once you step in you'll get they have a beach theme. For their beers on my last stop they had Belgian tripel, passion fruit orange guava, peach cereal ale, mango IPA, black currant sour, NEDIPA, and a honey nut brown. Now I heard they have some dark beers coming soon which would be great considering I am not a fruit beer person but I still liked them. On top of that the owner was nice and the beer tender was off the charts friendly. I wAm guessing I will be back.”

I'd happily buy again.Biscuits and Homemade Sausage GravyHANDS DOWN, the best sit-down biscuits and gravy in the area! Most restaurant have Chef Mic(rowave) in the back, nuking biscuits and gravy. Not here! You can tell that this dish is made from scratch. I'd love to take an IV direct into my vein and just pipe the gravy into my bloodstream. *Chef's Kiss*Buttermilk PancakesPancakes are hearty and filling. I'd have no problems recommending the pancakes here.If you're looking for value and QUANTITY, go somewhere else. If you're looking for a true under the radar breakfast place, with great and quick service, friendly atmosphere, and all the dishes coming out perfect and fresh. It's worth the money. Easily a top 10 hidden gem breakfast spot in the LaCrosse/Onalaska area.Biscuits and gravy, BEST IN THE AREA.”

“Great little drive-thru coffee shop. Service is great, and quick, even with a lot of cars ahead of you. Everything we've tried has never disappointed us. Smoothie options for the kids or they can get any of the coffee options without any espresso. Highly recommend! I will say I was a little shocked by the price when I ordered 02 cinnamon rolls and 02 coffee and the total came to $23, but that is probably pretty close to other coffee shops in the area. They were delicious though!”
