“Very friendly! Prices were good, and serving sizes definitely fair. We had four men, four different dishes, and all were very pleased and thankful for the service. Definitely will be back. There is a separation between the bar and the dining room, so definitely usable for families as well. The pizzas and burgers both were absolutely great.Only downside was the music was rather loud, but that was the time of day (8pm) and day (Saturday night) and the video games, but these are part of the Bar and Grill I suppose.“

“Food and Service were second to none, one of the best burger and fries EVER made. I will definitely be back. My only complaint is the drunk locals at the bar seemed proud they knew 4 letter words so they repeatedly said them until another patron told them to watch their mouths. The bartender/cook/waitress was busy as heck, but she did an amazing job.“

“Excellent food and service. Order the pretzel bucket app, Swedish Goat Burger, Lobster Bisque soup, salads, and Saturday Prime Rib special. SKIP the Greenie drinks. We had a late dinner so it was too dark to enjoy the lake view scenery, but the interior decor was okay - definitely a cabin vibe. Our daughter's basketball team was there for a weekend tournament so we had a very rowdy and large group of 36. Not only did our waitresses flawlessly take our orders, serve our drinks, apps, soups, salads and entrees timely, but she also figured out our separate checks per family despite the fact that the team sat separate from the parents. She deserved that big tip! Here's what we tried: Soft Pretzel Bucket (4/5) $16 HUGE bucket shared by the entire table of 36. Great pretzels and cheese sauce. Didn't try the mustard sauce but I wished for a bit more salt. Swedish Goat Burger (5/5) $17 This sucker lasted me 3 delicious meals! A must try if you like goat cheese and lingonberries (like small cranberries). The caramelized onions and large bacon strips made the burger perfect IMHO. Lobster Bisque Soup (4/5) $4 very flavorful, filling, rich and creamy. I had no detectable slivers of lobster though. Saturday Prime Rib special (5/5) $29 for the large 16 oz portion. Best meal at the table. Everyone's steaks were cooked to order perfectly. The side salad was LARGE and fresh. 3 at our table ordered the Greenie drink since we heard it was their drink specialty. I could feel the alcohol but couldn't taste it. Good lemon-lime flavor but it was SO sweet, it gave us tummy aches. None of us finished the Greenies and we all switched to other drinks. Our daughter and her friend shared the chicken strip bucket and the classic burger. She said both were good but nothing special.“

“If you want a great meal, stop at Sunshine's Summerhouse! We went on a Friday night and ordered the rib special which was delicious. We also ordered a burger. That was one of the juiciest burgers I have ever eaten. It was so good we went back the next morning for breakfast, and let me tell you the breakfast burrito did not disappoint. It was flavorful and filling. I will definitely go back if I'm in that area again!“

“3/28/24 approx 1645. I will start first if anyone has complaints about the prices.. take the location into consideration first, prolly not the most economical and populous area to have good quality ingredients delivered on the cheap, I'm sure it costs a premium. Secondly, the portions are quite large, hence we have leftovers for at least another meal plus another snack to boot.Ok....What an excellent time. Started out with a drink at the bar ( wish we caught the bartender name he knows who he is though.. Remember the pull tab discussion?) was very polite and knowledgeable. Then time for dinner, our server name was Mary Beth ( pretty sure?) so attentive, on the ball, and just great all around service. We had onion rings for app, and a side of home fries with crab seasoning. Main was Tuscan Chicken and Shrimp/Crab Mac n Cheese. The BEST Mac n Cheese I have ever had!!! The Tuscan Chicken was superb as well!! Perfect amount of seasoning, no salt needed, the veggies cooked perfect, the chicken moist and tender. The Mac and Cheese... Though... Almost seemed like more shrimp than pasta! Ha! A very generous amount of chopped crab on top, several different types of cheeses, shrooms and onions and breadcrumbs too. A nice border of cheesy crust around the edges and was piping hot. This meal all around by far ranks as one of the best we have ever had. Thank you so much.. we totally wish we lived closer but the 3.5 hr drive was totally worth it!!!“

“For our friends anniversary dinner we chose The Classic Grill. It was recommended to us by Tom at the main clubhouse and our experience surely did not disappoint. All of our meals were above and beyond our expectations. Special call out for the creme brulee and the banana cream cheesecake.Another aspect that we all appreciated was the value for our meals. We felt the same experience in the Twin Cities would have been at least 30% higher in price.We plan to go back when we visit again and jokingly even mentioned we'd drive from the Cities for that value and our experience.“

“The Saturday night prime rib special is insane--only $14.95 for a huge piece of meat, potato, toast, and salad bar. The service was fast and friendly. The place looks like it hasn't been remodeled since the mid-'70s, in a good way. In short, this is the kind of place that every small town "up north " needs.“

“Fantastic experience. The waitress, Deb, and the bartender, Troy, make you feel like family. My wife and I had a blast with them and some awesome locals. All the rooms face the water with a picturesque view and are very clean. We will 100% be back. Can't beat it!“
