5 Best Craft Breweries in Rochester

Thesis Beer Project Brewery • $
1929 2nd St SW, Rochester

“SO happy to see another craft brewery in Rochester! Great location, awesome atmosphere with the combined inside and outside seating! Not to mention the live music and food truck rotations they will be featuring!!! I love that Thesis is doing collabs with their beer and local business! Of the 6 beers on tap I had the cucumber sour which was my favorite! So light and refreshing!!! The golden ale that was crisp and a little on the bitter side, and the Tuba nanas hefeweizen which is very smooth and quite literally has aromatics that smell like banana laffy taffy! I look forward to what Thesis brew team come up with in the future! If you havent checked them out yet it's a must!!!P.S. lots of parking in the back!!!“

Little Thistle Brewing Brewery • $

“Little Thistle is such a gem in Rochester. The inside space is bright and welcoming. Each staff member was very nice and they offer a great beer selection. One of the best parts is you can order beers in different sizes to sample new flavors or go all-in. The outside space is huge with ample seating where you don’t feel crowed. I look forward to visiting again in warmer weather to soak up some sun while sipping a delicious beer on the patio.“

“Comparing another we just went to these tenders were friendly and wanting to serve us. They said we could try as many samples as we wanted. The other place would not. I loved talking beers and about their octoberfest. Good body and flavor and a true take home. T-shirt purchase worthy to remember. That's gals!“

“Fun atmosphere, plenty of options for seating. Service is friendly but very slow. The food was good. We ordered a pile of fries for an appetizer. Very large, sharable portion. 2 kinds of aoli and ketchup. The aolis were delicious! The tacos and brussel sprouts were also excellent. We will be back, and next time, I would like to try one of the house juices.Parking: Small parking lot or street parking“
