Consistently hits the spot every single time. It’s one of those places where you know exactly what you’re going to get—and it never disappoints. Now let’s talk about the real hidden gem: the weekday lunch crowd. If I were single and in the market for a finance daddy… this would be my hunting ground 😂. We’re talking tables full of businessmen, power lunches, suits everywhere—it’s like a live-action LinkedIn feed, and I’m here for it. Dinner is a whole different vibe. I’ve only been once, but wow, low lighting, a little moody, very date-night energy. Whether it’s a first date or you’ve been together forever, it just works. It’s cozy, a little sexy, and feels intentional without trying too hard. Service is always on point, you’ll even catch the manager making rounds, which says a lot. And the food? My go-to is the lobster roll (don’t overthink it, just order it). Also… prepare yourself for the desserts. When they say “to share,” they mean with your entire table… and possibly the table next to you. These things are massive. Cocktails are another win. I’m loyal to the Godfather,Scotch whiskey with amaretto, and I get it up instead of on ice. Smooth, strong, and exactly what I want every time. I have never heard about this place until about a week ago. It popped up on my facebook page. A review from Tony Cu. Tony had nothing but good things to say about this place. So I told my wife, “When we go down for the Vikings game, we’re going to try this place out.” Man am I glad we did. My wife and I split the 3 meat meal. The brisket, ribs, and chicken were phenomenal. Best bbq, besides my own, that I’ve had in Minnesota. The vinegar and mustard sauce is to die for. 10/10 Will definitely come back.”

Stir fry (the added vegan chicken was really good except once), caprese flatbread, truffle Parm fries, impossible burger, big salad, sushi. Separate vegan menu. I can't think of the name of the bog salad- but on the regular menu it says it is a honey citrus vinegarette, and the vegan menu says citrus vinegarette, even though there is still honey in it. “I stop by this restaurant for the first time a few days ago. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The staff member who took my order was friendly. She answered all my questions and made some suggestion. We ordered the Banh Mi Special and the Lemongrass Chicken, both were delicious, but our favorite was the lemongrass chicken. The bread was crispy, which made the meal well worth it. I recommend visiting this place! You won't regret it”

Shortly after, the owner comes over and offers us a free pizza—which was pretty awesome in itself. But what really pulled on my heartstrings was listening to him describe the amount of thought and heart he puts into the food. He explained the exceptional process he uses to create gut-healthy bread, sauces made fresh daily, and other natural ingredients—without all the processing we’ve grown to hate. I told him it felt like the scene from Ratatouille where the mouse combines all the flavors and everything bursts into color. It really was that good. You can taste the quality in every bite. But more than the pizza, I could tell the owner himself is exceptional. He is clearly passionate about what he does, about contributing to his community, and about giving opportunities to people who might not get them elsewhere. I commend you, sir. Thank you. — Ebony”

“There are many choices in the area for casual dining, but most often we choose THIS clean, well-maintained Perkins restaurant. Our favorite 5-star server is Laurie, who remembers us, greets us with a smile and thanks us whenever we show up. The chefs behind the scenes are consistent in every way: quality, preparation, portion, flavors, timing, and accuracy. “This was the perfect dinner after our 9 hour drive from Illinois. Had a Jeni, I got your # and a build your own. The tiny humans approve! The whole family gives them eight thumbs up! The crust has a perfect blend of chewy yet crisp, but not overly charred. Just the right amount of sauce. Not skimping on the fresh ingredients. The place was jumping/standing room only, so I was prepared to wait- but ended up being a really quick pick up to go! Great service from Dre!”

“Love this place! I always have a shredded beef dish of some sort. I know it's homemade as a couple of times I have found a bay leaf inside my burrito or taco. Good thing I always add a bit of salsa to my stuff and check. I love sitting at the bar and trying the 3 different salsas that are available as a help yourself buffet style along with delicious chips. Love the margaritas but now I am spoiled, I tried one with Milagro silver tequila on the rocks. It is excellent! The Columbia Heights locale is my favorite, and I have tried each of the others! I have yet to try the patio in the summertime, so I can't tell you about it. The stained glass windows are amazing! Busy bustling place! I love it! And the staff is excellent! If I want to change an option on the menu, the staff is very accommodating. I would give this place 5 stars! I always take family and friends to La Casita Mexican Restaurant - Columbia Heights, MN when they come to visit!”

“Other than Google telling me during the heavy rain that once I'm in the rain to go to Portillos to find coffee before getting to Raising Canes every other part of the experience at Caribou was wonderful and the girl running the register even helped me not throw my phone because of Google deciding I needed to be soaking wet by getting the right location to order my special to and just everyone was wonderful and so was the coffee.”

“10% Remember that. . Because that's the % that makes the BEST ice cream. There is a chain down south Texas - Oklahoma that makes ice cream with 10% milkfat. . Ooohhhh best. The well known previous tenant only make their ice cream with 5%. . Might seem small but it's a huge difference.

So many flavors of toppings and ice cream.
My only suggestion would be to make something similar to the blue raspberry Mr misty freeze. Maybe they had it but I didn't see the similar on the menu. . They do have the slushie machine to do it though!”

“Love the staff. I stop most mornings and feel like we’re all friends at this point. So friendly and helpful and will make anything right, not that have had much of anything go wrong. They recently renovated the inside and it looks very nice.

They obviously do get quite busy during the morning so I recommend ordering ahead on the app for sure. Even if drive thru line is long, if you order ahead and select in-store pickup, it will most likely be ready and sitting there waiting for you on the counter. Orders are organized by name so it’s easy to find if there are a lot of orders on the counter. They also call out the names as they set them on the counter.

Plenty of options for kids which they appreciate.

They also don’t have any artificial colors! When I originally went to look for the first time I expected the ingredients to look like they do for gas station food but definitely not.”

The mochi ice cream was also good. It tasted fresh and was not hard on the outside. The char siu ramen was good but not quite as good as we had when we went to LA. The noodles were firmer than I preferred, but overall it was impressive for Minnesotan Japanese food.”
