I’m not one to gate keep, so I’m going to scream from the rooftop that EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO HANG OUT AT MATT’S BASEMENT! There’s seriously no place like it. Not only are the boba tea and waffle options to die for, but Matt’s also holds game nights, offers old school game rentals, puts on $2 movie nights with the most delicious popcorn, and the owner and his girlfriend are hands down the coolest people I’ve ever met. Do yourself a favor and check out Matt’s basement next time you’re hanging out downtown Stillwater!

Best chill, kick spot with plenty of different different games, board games, electronic games, as well as a piano to play on! The drinks are yummy too! I hope this place sticks around for a long time, because there’s nowhere like it! Super peaceful on winter evenings and around summertime. It gets busy but it’s always a good crowd! The owner, Matt is super kind and very likable! He’s actually from California, and you can tell this place has Cali vibes???My son and I love to go here and practice on the piano; he’s been taking lessons for a few months, so he enjoys showing off his skills here.PS: I just learned that they have movie nights, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for just two dollars ??

Quant hideaway place. Large bean bags for people to use while gaming. Bathrooms are gender neutral, with or without urinal. No locks. Young lady opened the door while I was in there at the urinal, then she quickly left. Not too smart and potential law suit for sexual harassment. Do better please. The chai I ordered and the bubble tea for my daughter took over 20 minutes to get. Four other couples were waiting for drinks as well. One went up to check the status. Not good for the slow season in Stillwater. The chai ended up not being what I ordered. I got a chai boy bubble tea which was thin like water and low in flavor. My daughter noticed it was the wrong drink after the guy walked back to the kitchen. The other two workers were back there as well. (By the way, no one had a sense of urgency to get things done). I waited long enough and was done with the place. At least she got her drink, then two sips later was done with it because it was not agreeing with her palate. I found it to be too sweet. We tried it. I hope you have a good experience like the others on here said they did.

Such an amazing place to hangout! A group of 3 of us were there for a majority of the afternoon/evening to play Magic, Genshin and read. The food and boba were absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming! And the owner's were very sweet! Definitely would recommend this place and will be coming back soon!

The employees and everyone there are SUPER friendly and sweet! They treated me and my brother very well! It's such a great atmosphere and place to go for a get together or to study! I will definitely be visiting very often now! The place itself is super cozy and warm with beanbags, couches, and games to play!Might be my new go to! ❣️10/10 recommend!( My favorites are the strawberry fields and nothing but mango! )Kid-friendliness: There's shows on TVs playing, an arcade game, and card games! Will keep kids busy! I played UNO with my friend down there!

What a great place! Glad we stopped in here after the snow sculptures! The BOBA selection is off the chains and the guys are absolute Naruto fans!
What a fun place to hangout. We came with ice cream in mind and were pleasantly surprised to find Hudson’s Lotus Creamery ice cream on the menu. The staff were great and the place itself had an overall “cool” feeling to it.

Wow! Stumbled across Matt's basement tonight. We were looking for some dessert and this is a must stop. We tried the strawberry and chocolate chip waffles and they are fantastic. The kids got bubble tea as well which was delicious. You won't be disappointed if you swing into Matt's basement.

Awesome, nerdy cafe with bubble waffles, boba tea, coffee, etc. They hold regular card-game events, retro gaming competitions, and cult movie watch parties (with free popcorn!)The service, food, and atmosphere were all great. We went around 11 and it was pretty empty but I think it gets pretty busy during the evening and when they've got events going on.Definitely want to come back since there are few places where my Naruto merch is actively welcomed. Also check out their art for sale on the walls; it's pretty neat.
