I’m still thinking about the smash sliders 🤤 you can really taste the quality of ingredients and the love that is put into the food. We also had a side of truffle fries which were amazing as well. Perfectly crisp on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside! Plus that garlic aioli to dip in is tasty! I also tried a bite of my daughter’s grilled cheese and even that is elevated! Perfectly toasted fresh bread and thick layer of melty cheese! So good! We finished off with a slice of their chocolate almond cheesecake which was the perfect ending to an outstanding lunch. The staff was also very pleasant. We will definitely be back time and time again! 10/10”

“We met the down to earth owners of Twin Bluffs in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere heading home from a week in Sturgis. They suggested we hop off the highway the next day as we continued our journey east through Minnesota and try their food. We met outside by their friendly bartender who welcomed us into this spacious, neighborhood style bar. We ordered cheese curds, a Philly cheesecake sandwich with fries and a fish sandwich with fries. The food was outstanding! Hot and was only a short wait. This out of the way place is a true gem. If you find your way around Winona Minnesota, swing on in for the best bar food I’ve had in a long while!”

“Soooooo good! Have heard tell about Bloedow (blay-dohz) for years and finally had a chance to visit. There’s a learning curve—a line and then your person collects your items for checkout.

They know how to box or bag and at the same time there’s a slight hint of getting an extra item for good measure. Locals walk out the door with a donut (or cookie or scone) “on the paper”.

Known for the maple longjohn, the cake donuts and cookies and raspberry filled are amazing. Won’t even mention my favorite item here as stuff sells out. Gotta protect the goods.

“Norvary Vietnamese: “A True Treasure!” A local friend told me that this place was a must-try, so my son, his best friend, and I headed over for dinner at 7:20 PM on a Saturday night. The boys ordered the brisket Pho with traditional rice noodles, and his friend substituted the rice noodles for ramen. They raved about their bowls of soup, noting that the bone broth was the best they have ever had! If you are expecting Pho served with bean sprouts, fresh lime wedges, fresh basil sprigs, cilantro, hoisin, and sriracha sauce, you won’t find that here. The Vietnamese cuisine at Norvary is from the Northern region of the country, which I hadn't experienced before. I learned something new today about the culinary world! Much like Indian cuisine, both Northern and Southern Vietnamese dishes feature ingredients that are more readily available in their respective regions. In the cities where I live, with no less than 50 Vietnamese restaurants serving Pho (our family fave is iPho by Saigon on University Ave in Saint Paul), I had never tasted a Northern version of the dish. Northern Pho soups are served with pickled garlic and sriracha on the side. I had to sample it after hearing such fondness and could taste the star anise or similar spice in the broth—yum. I ordered the Pad Thai—I know, it's a Vietnamese restaurant—but the Pad Thai struck a chord while reading over their selections. I asked the counter staff taking orders if they used tamarind, and she said she wasn't sure and couldn't ask as the chefs didn't speak English. This seemed like a good sign that I might be served something authentic. I chose shrimp as the protein, which was mixed with fried tofu pieces. They also serve the dish with a fried egg on top rather than mixed into the dish. The first bite revealed the sweet and sour notes of a great Pad Thai—EXCELLENT! Norvary also has a huge selection of Boba teas and other specialty tropical drinks. The ambiance of the restaurant is clean, calming, and modern. They have a beautiful selection of framed photographs taken in the local owners' hometowns in Vietnam. Winona, MN, is so lucky to have this great locally-owned small business that focuses on bringing new flavors to the area with fresh, QUALITY ingredients, attention to detail in their presentations, and above-average customer service. As a passionate social justice advocate, I deeply appreciate Norvary's commitment to fair wages for their staff. I will gladly pay more for my meals when dining out, knowing it supports obtaining fresh quality ingredients and living wages for the staff. Some reviewers seem to have difficulty understanding that “cheap” in the culinary world often means processed genetically modified "Franken Food" filled with additives and fillers, like corn syrup, blue lake 5 food dye, and hydrogenated oils, which cut corners on quality and staff compensation. I'm excited to introduce my husband to this place and look forward to trying more dishes when we are in town visiting friends. Thanks, Norvary!”

“Friday, December 1st, my son's varsity hockey team played in Winona. We knew that we wanted to get pizzas ordered to be delivered to the arena for the team's bus ride back to Fairmont. When we messaged Rocco's that morning before they were even open to see if they could accommodate our order for deliver at 8:45 pm, they responded right away and said they absolutely could! They text me to let me know when their driver had left and then let me know that their daughter gave them a game update and there was a lot of game left. They told us that they wanted our pizzas to be warm, so we could keep the warmers brought by the delivery driver and simply leave them at the arena for their daughter to grab when she left the arena. We really appreciated the awesome, super accommodating service, amazing pizza and the extra thoughtfulness. Highly recommend!!!!”

I have no idea how a cook could burn the toasted bun, hamburger, put a few black burnt sautéed onion, and way over cooked bacon, not even the thicker type on the menu and ruin the southwest burger. The waitress never came back to check on our food, and the staff were all too busy talking with each other to be flagged down for help. We were charged regular price for are happy hour beers. When the waitress came over to give us our bill, I explained my bad food to her and advised her that she should check on her customers after they have their food served. We were hoping for good food, but it was horrible. Do not eat here. The cook and waitresses are more concerned about talking with each other instead of doing their jobs.”

“we have customers for quite some time. Friday night fish fry is very good. Very disappointed last Friday night, brought my parents and wife up for dinner. Wife and I decided to split a fish plate. we ordered and ate, after food was delivered we were informed that there would be a $5 extra charge for splitting plate. There is no notice of this any where. I visited with Scott (owner) and he would not take charge off. Just plain disappointed as we have enjoyed being customers for quite some time. Not sure if we will return.”
