“Place has a good atmosphere and really great service! Ashley the bartender there is phenomenal. She knows exactly what I drink as soon as she sees me. And as soon as I walk through the door and she says hey, she puts a beer at an open seat for me. She is always smiling and always attentive even when she’s running 100 mph. Makes stopping in for a beer or spending several hours with friends worth while when you have people like her!! Happy to see that someone still enjoys their job and the people they serve! “PJ’s Tavern is a Kirkwood staple. Favorites are the pizza, quesadilla, bison burger, chicken tenders and club sandwich. Get a cup of potato soup as an app- amazing. We’ve been coming here for 20+ years because the food is great, the environment is a that of a familiar hometown pub and the service has always been excellent.“

“If you like t-ravs- these are the best in town!.We have never had a sandwich we didn't love and even the meat packed pizza is yummy! George is a fantastic and fun bar tender, only to be outdown by his charming bride! The salad selection is a bit lacking, but the Mayfair dressing is delicious! It's a regular favorite!“

“This place is great, I love the fact that they are LGBTQ friendly. I took my daughter and her best friend who is disabled there for the first time, and they welcomed her with open arms very friendly atmosphere, and the karaoke was great. And the fact that it was wheelchair accessible made it even better. We were downstairs and The bartender was amazing and friendly, this is definitely a place I will visit again and my daughter has declared this for go to from now on. I highly recommend that you check this place out.Wheelchair accessibility: It was very easy for my daughters friend who is in a wheelchair to get in upstairs, and then to get downstairs where the karaoke is we just wheeled around to the back and went right in through the door. There was plenty of room, and everyone was very welcoming.“

“Love this bar. Great little dive bar. Heather is a great bartender and the regular crowd is fun and chill. If there's a problem, it's being caused by someone that doesn't frequent the establishment. Drinks are cheap and the bathrooms are clean. I can't wait for the new patio to be open in the spring.“

“I had a beautiful burger at FBC today. My only complaint is I ordered medium and it came well done. Also, the bar waitress just wasn’t a good listener. I asked for water no ice, it came with ice. I also asked for a pre meal cup of chili I had to remind her to put in. I’ll be back though.“

“Love this place! Great people, low priced drinks, and some of their newest karaoke DJ, Lindsey, has the best sound system I've sang on in years. You can hear yourself perfectly and the sound is extremely well balanced.Ashby Pub still stands as my favorite local dive. Cathy makes this the most welcoming and friendly place you'll ever find. A diamond in the rough to be sure.“

“Warning: heavy smoking in here. I'm not a big fan of that these days and I had no idea before I came that they'd allow that in here. Anyway, for a dive bar it's a decent spot, I've seen other reviews about the owner being rude but he was fine to me and the party I was with. This place is good for darts too, I think they have leagues here. Drinks are cheap and they prefer cash but they do take cars and I believe they add an additional charge on at the end (but you don't get a breakdown of prices so there's no way to really know). I won't return often only bc of the smoking but if that didn't bother me (and it was a bit closer), I'd return. If you're a smoker and a fan of dive bars then this should be a good place for you.“

“Nice little neighborhood bar. All your standard amenities, pool, darts, jukebox. Great drink prices. Just be aware it is very smokey... could use some better ventilation, but as long as you know what you're in for, it's a fun place.“

“We had our mid-winter Model T Ford lunch here. Probably 25-30 folks showed up. They have an area that was able to accommodate us all, and we had great service, even though we were a larger party. The serviced was spot on, drinks came out quickly and the food orders followed close behind. So many different dishes were served and it seemed as though everyone enjoyed the food. They did not seem to mind we sat around for a couple of hours swapping our stories. Another nice thing was they let us have separate checks, which makes for a much easier time for our group. There is more than one location in the area, and we plan on trying a different one next time.“

“We came here on an impromptu date night, and it was great! Plenty of parking, lots of seats and lots of St. Louis decor. Food all looked good and we had a hard time picking. Chose to get the appetizer sampler and a custom double decker pizza. We picked meatballs, fresh garlic, artichoke hearts and pepperocinis. Lots of leftovers! Everything tasted great and paired well with a couple of beers. Our server did a great job of getting g us what we needed and giving us space to enjoy it. Very friendly and helpful! The salads are always fresh, and their homemade dressings stand out among St. Louis restaurants. The Reuben sandwich is generously stacked with corned beef, earning Fallon's a high rank for both quality and price. I tried a burger, and it was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Their variety of sides includes options like cottage cheese, coleslaw, onion rings, and, of course, fries. I particularly enjoy their pretzel and cheese appetizer; the pretzels are moist, and the cheese sauce is pretty good. The wings are also a safe bet--they're well-flavored and well-made. A friend ordered the corned beef and cabbage entree, and I was so impressed that I had to sample it. Dining here offers great value, and the service is always kind. I find myself coming back even more because I continue to be impressed with each visit.“

“The Mack is always a nice stop during the week for a drink and a bite to eat. Nice atmosphere, good specials and solid food options. For me, it's too loud and crowded on the weekends but that's a personal preference, so if you're looking for that..by all means stop in on a Friday night! I usually sit at the bar and the bartenders are always friendly. Occasionally the inside vaping can be a bit much if a number of people are going at once *but* it's usually not that bad. Great neighborhood staple that's consistent and enjoyable.“
