“As a visiting Memphian, I can admit that I was headed to patronize another Black Owned Restaurant, smelled the bbq coming from this place, and I had to turn around. Least to say, I am so glad that I did! The man at the counter was friendly & the food was scrumptious! My friend is an even bigger critic of food and die hard Memphis BBQ defender and even he had a hard time saying anything bad about the tips, beans, or potato salad! You do pay a pretty penny & I could’ve done with maybe half the portion of rib tips but if your belly can hold a lot at once, it’s well worth it!“

“Pappy's Smokehouse, particularly the one in this location, is a staple of St. Louis. I had the fortunate experience of eating here last October and it definitely lived up to all of its hype.First off, if you are seriously considering eating at Pappy's, get there early. The line forms quite quickly. When I went, I arrived about an hour and a half after they opened and it was about a 45 minute wait.While waiting in line, you can see all of the different celebrities and well known figures that have eaten here. There are pictures of them on the wall.Once you get to the front, you place your order and are seated. Despite the long line, the system they have in place is quite efficient.I ordered the ribs and brisket with coleslaw and corn. The ribs were some of the best I've ever eaten. The flavor was just so unique, in a good way. They had a hint of smokiness and bit of a BBQ taste. I couldn't pinpoint the wood that they may use. It could be mesquite. However, that is a wild guess. They also had a hint of sourness to them. They definitely could use vinegar at some point in this process. Nonetheless, the taste was excellent and I can definitely see why these ribs have won so many awards. And like many of the comments in the reviews stated, you don't need sauce, even though the sauce that was provided was very good. As far as the texture, they weren't falling off of the bone but they were quite tender. The vinegar coleslaw was my favorite side. The flavors just blended so well together.The atmosphere was cool and the service was friendly and prompt. The prices weren't bad, considering the popularity of this place.Overall, this place is a staple of St. Louis that is definitely worth checking out. The unique flavor of the ribs is what makes this place so special. The vinegar coleslaw is very good as well.“

“The owner Mike, was a delightful man and walked my boyfriend and I through his menu. We ended up sharing a full rack rib combo with a quarter pound of brisket and homemade applesauce topped with cinnamon. I've always been picky with BBQ because it's hard to find good ribs, but this place really was probably the best ribs I'd ever had. Not only were they "fall off the bone" but they were perfectly flavored with their apple butter BBQ glaze. They close early too sometimes due to selling out so make sure you go early!“

Used to come every time I was in the city, but once I opened what I genuinely thought was the bathroom door only to realize it was just a storage closet, so I was of course immediately about to close it and move on but an employee yelled at me, grabbed the knob out from under my hand and closed the door ? It was so needlessly humiliating (needless in general) in such an intimate space too. My ears were hot while I had to then finish my meal in there, ugh. Left such a bad taste in my mouth I haven’t been back in years. Good food though.“

“The Best Smoked Meat Around!! Every Friday my husband and I make a trip from Spanish Lake and come see Jared at Dam-it-Joe’s. I know that every time, no matter what I order, it’s on key and so f’@k!n delicious!! My favorite ? I recommend that you come back and try everything they have to offer! “Sitting here soaking it in. Equal parts joint, hole in the wall, neighborhood icon. Clearly the locals know. You know?!My food was spectacular. Had the special. Smoked Corned Beef Ruben. PHENOMENAL! I'm a foodie at heart. Easily the best Ruben sandwich I've ever, and I mean EVER had. Accompanied by a proper pint and some of the yummiest Mac n Cheese. I really hope this is what heaven's like. “First time trying Mann Meats, I was not disappointed. The chicken burger was delicious, it was flavorful and juicy. Topped with the barbecue sauce, even better. Eating it reminded me of a summer barbecue. I will definitely be back for the chicken burger and to try other items on the menu.“

The food was very good, and generous portions and the beer selection was excellent, but the way they greeted us, and sought us out because they happened to be playing bingo and wanted to make sure we felt included.. they brought our food and checked on like we were family of the owners..just wow! “Not overly impressed. Had brisket and ribs, baked beans and Mac and cheese. Beans would be much better with bell pepper. The sweet BBQ sauce was good but the brisket was a bit dry. Visiting from out of town. Nice experience but not something I'd want again if in st. Louis.“

“I am a fan of Rated Test Kitchen! No complaints! Chef JR is an amazing chef. Bri has amazing customer service. The spirit staff does great with cocktails. And all the sous chefs are polite and welcoming. If you are local or visiting Rated Test Kitchen should be on your list.“

“Charlotte was a rockstar today! Due to some sick staff she was the only one working the tables. Once we got seated the food came out just as fast as if we were the only one in the restaurant. Kudos to the chef as well. He cooked great food and cleaned our table of dirty dishes. I think they had a total of 3 staff working and made everything run smoothly. Really impressed. Will definitely eat here again next time I am in town.“

“Definitely coming back! I came here today for work to order for myself and my guys for the first time. The manager was very welcoming and introduced himself and advised me on food favorites and was very kind. He went above and behind my expectations! He even gave me a discount for my first time here ordering for my employees. “My apologies i dont have any pics but just trust i been on Yelp for many years giving reviews. My job ordered from Mositos for Black History Month Feb/2024. I ate the food so fast that i forgot to take any pics. The Turkey leg was amazing 10/10!!! I look crazy for not posting any pics but the Turkey leg was cooked So well and seasoned and the gravy had a kick to it. I am just blown away and found my New fav BBQ spot. @Mositos just be prepared to be Sick of me bc im coming every Week now!!! Lol“

“Excellent service! Real St Louis BBQ! Very friendly and welcoming people with Good ol' southern hospitality. I had the rib tips and my wife had the chicken wings both with sides of potato salad and baked beans. And booooy it was so gooood “make you wanna slap yo mama” lol jk Jk but the food was phenomenal!! “Fusion Korean food on a primer side. The chicken rice bowl was good but not great (personal opinion). I thought the rice would be warm but it was cold to the core.A small meal with one regular size bowl and a small side of kimchi came to be around $22.“

“We live an hour and a half away and make sure we eat here when we can get down there, the food is always spot on , the staff is always great and for as many people that go through the restaurant the manager always recognizes us.Parking: plenty of free parking plus there's some street parking but we've never had to use it“

“The food was Koean style but the meat was not Korean style barbecue, it was more like steamed. The kimchis came out in two trays of 3 types and was not enough for 4 adults. The server was swamped and checked on us once. No refills on drinks at all. The place is very popular and the wait was an hour. If I go again, I will call to find out when the crowds slow down and go then. The food was OK, but nothing was worth the crush of people at the door and the crowd of people turning away or going to their car to wait. Glad they have a lot of business but it is extremely crowded and uncomfortable.“

Most bars don't like out of Towner's but they included in their round of shots and I drink too shelf??But that fish platter ???. The Owner and and her sister also check on you to make sure your good. “Great staff, fun atmosphere, and great music. I went here on a Wednesday when they have a sort of “open mic” that I can only compare to going down to Louisiana to hear everyone jam together. They do not have food on Wednesdays but you can bring in outside food. They also have cocktails, mocktails, THC drinks, CBD drinks, and soft drinks. Definitely a place I’d revisit for a good time.“

I went there on my lunch break on Friday, 16 February - I have never had an issue with service until I placed an order with this big white tall female that was taking orders. She had a big mouth and was very rude. I think her name was Trendy - this is the name that was on my receipt. I was in a hurry to get my food and she kept giving her unwanted loud mouth opinion telling me that I should have left work early. When another customer came in - she rudely and bluntly said, "Move back!"She is a very ignorant person with no manners.At this time because of her stupidity, I told her to refund my money. This same big mouth loud woman said, "Your order will be ready in a few minutes". Because of negative words, I demanded my money back. Why should I spend all this money and this crazy chick can't shut her poisonous mouth. It's shameful that Ms. Piggies' Restaurant lost a big order because of a loose loud-mouth cannon.Upon returning my money I found out she had trouble counting, I had to tell her how much to return to me - she was getting confused and couldn't figure out a simple task. I am a nice person with a lot of empathy but she was very disrespectful and loud-talked me in front of customers.Sorry owners of this fine restaurant that I had to ask for a refund but why do you have this unstable person taking orders, knowing that she should be in the back cleaning instead of in front taking orders. “They know what’s up. Yum. Wanted to try the hush puppies, creamed corn and deviled eggs but I can only fit so much into my 5’2 frame so I tried the wings with baked beans and tomato & green beans. Husband got the plate with brisket, ribs and pork so we could get a good sampling of everything.Excellent.Was conflicted with deciding between the lemon berry cake & bourbon pecan cause I love me my lemon desserts but also got a thing for pecans. Went with the lemon. Not sorry. Tart, moist, lemony. But still jonesin for the pecan pie. Guess we’ll just hafta come back again some time.“
