“Hole in the wall???Yes!!! And proudly so!!The people and staff, make this place so hommie.. if you have the honor to be a regular here.. you can count yourself as a good person!Prices are more than fair, but really it's all about the crowd and people that make this a perfect hole-in-the-wall.Thank you for the great time I was able to spend with ya'll.“
“The food was ok. It was a bit pricey for what it was, but I've paid more for worse and not complained. The service was fine. We had a large group and we were taken care of. I live in OP so I wouldn't go back for myself, but I'd be fine with returning if meeting up with a large group again.“
“Stopped and had lunch at this establishment! My husband and I like to try different BBQ places around the KC area. This has definitely been one of our favorites. The amazing customer service started the moment we walked in the door. The selection of menu items were very unique and delicious! After we finished our lunch our server came by with our check and that’s when we let her know that this was our first visit. We were quick to let her know that we were very satisfied with the service and the food. Before we finished paying for our lunch the owner stopped by our table. This is something we do not experience at a lot of places. While we were visiting with him our server came back to the table with a few samples of some of their side dishes. This is what I love about the small businesses that we love to support! See you all real soon at F325 BBQ.“
“THE BEST BARBECUE IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!! Knuckle Heads brought in a guy (Brent) who runs Diamond W Barbecue and served hands down the best food I’ve ever tasted! Top notch barbecue at a great price and amazing friendly service!!! ??????“
“How isn’t this place 5 stars?! WOW. My date and I had an amazing experience from the atmosphere, the food, and our incredible waitress Danielle. She was such a treat and very knowledgeable of all the products. I will definitely be coming back!“
“I have been traveling to KC since 2014, and I never realized there was a restaurant next door to Jack Stacks. I honestly thought it was the same place. I am glad I stopped in there to check it out. The place atmosphere is amazing. The staff were friendly and inviting. The food was served swiftly. The beer and wine selection was awesome. For my meal, I had the weekly special, the steak with potatoes. Let me tell you that steak was amazing. Caramelized sauce adds flavor to the perfect steak! The only suggestion I have for this meal is to cook the potato a little less. It seemed a little over cooked. That is the only reason for the 4 stars. I would be at a loss for not mentioning the dessert. OMG! I'm definitely going to visit again on my next trip. Save me a seat.“
“Was at the theater for panicfest, a local film festival and it was a beautiful facility. The theaters were stunning, great staff, food, drinks, and a ton of folks that love film.Highly recommend this place for any films that you're hoping to catch on the big screen, mostly because these old theaters are incredible and deserve to be preserved, and keeping an eye out on their special events as well. We had a blast here.“
“My husband and I have been to Swordfish Tom’s at least half a dozen times in the past couple of years and it’s always been a top-notch experience. Sure, sometimes you have to wait outside for availability, but it’s worth the wait and I personally think it adds to the “speak-easy” vibes. Drinks are phenomenal and they always seem to have a wide variety of cocktail options. Even if you don’t see something on the list that sparks your interest, the bartenders has always been so friendly and willing to spin up pretty much anything your heart desires! We love it for a date night!“
“Very cool room hidden off the alley. Had an Italian Beef (Jim's Beef) and had low expectations. Being from Chicago I was a bit snobby about anyone else outside of the Windy City doing an IB right. My apologies. Great sandwich. The bread was perfect. Tender, juicy meat. Giardiniera nice and spicy. My only gripe would be the lack of fries as a side. I had the jalepeno slaw and it was good, but fries are the natural side to a lovely beef. Will be back.“
“I stumbled across this place on Facebook and had no idea what it was. They were hosting a nickelodeon themed party with trivia, coloring, and themed drinks!I was nervous at first because we were sharing tables but I got to meet some of the coolest people there and had a blast!! They even hyped me up for winning 4th place in the coloring contest haha.If you love board games, meeting new people, and looking for adult fun without all the craziness of downtown this is a great place to go! I think they host dungeons and dragons here as well and I would love to learn how to start. The food is tasty, but it could be better. But it's not a restaurant, it's a gamers paradise!“
“My first time in, and I found it to be charming. A bright and tidy place in a more historic part of town. The baristas were sweet and fun. If you get a drip coffee and choose to enjoy on premises, you pick out your own mug and get a free refill. It was a perfect Sunday morning stop.“
“Up-Down quickly became a KC classic. Everyone will find a game they enjoy and every game is only 25 cents (via tokens bought at the bar). The bar is expansive and the rooftop patio is a great place to enjoy the city views. If you're hungry you can grab a slice of pizza inside.“
“The atmosphere catches your attention right as you come in. Very unique. The staff are really nice, smiling, well informed and attentive. The food is excellent. We had the CA roll which was nicely done. The tartare was very unique. Yummy but a little messy to wrap your own. The cod is one of the best I've ever eaten in KC. That alone will bring me back. We all shared the brownie, crispy outside, gooey in. Warm and yummy. Their wine list is paired very nicely with their menu. Lots of trendy restaurants in KC lately that are just so so, this one is a keeper.Parking: They have their own lot next to their building“
“This place is pretty cool. It’s tucked away but easy to find. We came for some drinks and appetizers and got the wings, which were just okay… last time I visited I got a pizza and it was delicious!! There was live music and the service was good.“
“Best espresso martini and cocktails I've had in KC in a long time. Food and desserts were excellent, and it was so fun to take a cocktail around the art museum after dinner. Our server was so enthusiastic about the history of the place, it really made the experience.“
“We live a block away and have been waiting for our spot to open up. Food we want to eat, great drinks and service that makes us feel like locals, and this is the spot. Zach was taking care of us and we’ve been back and haven’t had a bad time. Except during that Denver game and it had nothing to do with the place. Try the “
“We had the best Saturday fun-day here. Logan and Candice were friendly, fun, engaging, and hilarious. The crowd was chill and friendly. Any bar with jcheese balls is a win, and the overall design and vibe of the bar is top notch. I am sad we don’t live closer, but we can’t wait to go back. Thanks for an awesome day!“
“The atmosphere is great, the food was amazing, and cocktails were delicious! We ordered four dishes to share between two of us which was filling (they recommend 4 to 5). The food did take longer than expected to come out, but their customer service is unmatched!Dietary restrictions: They ask when you sit down if you have any dietary restrictions. They then mark the menu with which dishes to avoid.“
“Ludo's Shuffleboard bar is such a great addition to Martini Corner. After a friend date night at Noka, we went here to check it out for the first time. I love the fun, colorful branding that continues to the menu itself. The cocktails are as creative as they are delicious. They offer great wines and beers too - something for everyone. I've also been to Ludo's for a work happy hour where they rented out the whole bar. It's such a great size for happy hour "takeovers" and the staff was super friendly, helpful, flexible and easy to work with. Highly recommend a night out at Ludo's or even renting it out for your next event!“
“We LOVE Milwaukee Deli to the point where we knew we had to have it as a late night snack at our wedding! We worked out a catering order with Jon who was so great at assisting us and making sure what we ordered showed up at our venue at the requested time! We didn't have to worry about a thing on the day and just got the glorious news from our venue coordinator that the pizza had arrived! Our guests DEVOURED this pizza. Thanks again to Jon and Milwaukee Deli for helping to make our special day even better!“
“We visited Blade & Timber for the first time (None of us had ever thrown an ax before) to celebrate our daughter's 17th birthday. The service was excellent. Food was great. But our coach Winston went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and having the best experience possible! We can't wait for our next visit!!“
“Really fun and laid back spot. Apparently the owner is my second cousin once removed (I think) so my dad was excited to go here when visiting from AR. It was a beautiful day and I love that on such days they’re open to the outdoors. That plus some great early 2000s pop punk classics really made for a great atmosphere. I asked for their most popular drink which was their blueberry specialty cocktail. It was delicious!“
“Pic is of the lobster tacos and skillet queso. They were both amazing. We also had the Korean tacos and street which were delicious as well. Skillet queso was too spicy for the kiddos but perfect for me. Finishing touch was the amazing KC Taco margaritas. Definitely coming back.“
“Kyle owns this great KC gem. It’s a clean and friendly atmosphere in the heart of KC. Beer, whiskey, wine, no cocktails. Kyle is a beer lover but won’t steer you wrong with you spirit selections! I had a great time Chatting with him and trying Penelope and Barrel Craft bourbons!“
“Overall a great place; this has become mine and my wife's local spot.Twice monthly pool tournaments; an assortment of areas to play checks, chess, or dice; local beers; and fantastic cocktails. One of the best old fashioned I've had in a while (if you're a fan of Rye, if not, make sure to mention it).Have spent several long nights here shooting pool and enjoying good company.Parking: Street parking directly next to the bar, but its a gamble if there will be any available. You may have to drive further down and take a short walk.“
“This place is so fun. Great options for drinks, fun atmosphere, cozy. I usually go on weekdays because it is very small and gets tight. But it's full of cool patrons and a radical staff!Warning ..you might make friends here.Parking: Parking lot is small but not impossible..I used to find spots back home with my T16.“
“I hadn't been to a Stroud's since the one in South KC on 85th St slid into the creek. The food was still amazing the cinnamon rolls still rock and the chicken fried steak is still amazing. The service was pretty standard, good not above and beyond. Which is fine. The view out the window to the pond is amazing but they shove in too many tables. Overall, excellent. Exactly as I remembered.“
“Elise at Toms Town was amazing. She gave a great tour and the tasting with her was so fun. She has us addicted to the double oak Bourbon! If you do not drink bourbon, you can still enjoy the tour. Loved looking around and enjoyed the video of all the history that this distillery has. The food was an added bonus!“
“First time here, good cold beer and laid back atmosphere. Bartender was quick and polite. Seems like a great place to stop and knock the dust outta your throat. Western style throughout the place . Definitely worth a visit, will be back !!!“
“You come here after you have had dinner to get some GREAT choices for all kinds of draft. They pour the new Boulevard strawberry wheat that was smooth and so good. Lots of gathering space and cool industrial atmosphere. You can’t get food here, but any type of craft beer is here. Sea Dog on draft is here as well—awesome! This is where you want to meet up with all your friends to laugh and tell stories as you enjoy a drink or two or three.“
“This is a great local dive joint! But note: do not wave the bartender over to take your order...go to the bar and place your order! Rookie mistake! Food is simply a fried culinary delight. The smash burger is amazing especially after cigar and drinks at The Shop. Housemate fries are a must and the tots are great. Can't go wrong with both! Staff is friendly and amazing!“
“It does have pinball which is what I was there for. The area at night can be iffy late night but, don't let that stop you from checking it out, especially if you love pinball. You can even bring outside food in, bonus!!. The space is nice sized and the service is great. I'd definitely go back and check it out.“
“We live in KCMO, about 15 minutes from here, but this is our favorite little bar. A bit divey, but it’s a very clean, well-kept spot. Not something you can typically expect of a dive bar. Sammy is a great bartender, very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended whether you live in the neighborhood or take a drive to get here.“
“First off the bartenders here are amazing. They are always attentive and great to chat with. For a casual bar they have some exceptional pizza. Also I am personally very happy with a bar that has Coors Banquet Beer as I am not that hard to please on the beer selection side of life.“
“My boyfriend and I LOVE micheladas, it is our thing. So we set out to find the best ones in town. I had seen people I know post about it so we decided to try it out. and oh my gosh. these are the BEST in town. They are very authentic. You can get them to go which is cool and also they come in a big cup with chamoy on the side. They put the right amount of beer and other ingredients, they just do it right every time. My bf and I always get regular michelada with the dried meat on it and it tastes really good. The workers are always super nice to attend to us and make our drinks very fast. There is always people when we go in just chilling with their friends and it is a chill place to just have a drink. They also serve fruit with tajin and other things that are fruit with lime and tajin/ spicy. for sure recommend for an authentic michelada!“
“I’ve been here twice, soon to make it a regular place for me. I went in yesterday after I heard of a passing of a fellow Veteran. I had a great night and the respect that everyone has for each other at this bar is awesome. I had too many to drive and was given a ride home by a fellow patron(they were sober). But where I’m getting at is that there was care. What bar do you go to where they care? Thank you Alley Bar. -A soon to be regular.“
“Vegetarian options: Veggie Burger & SaladsKid-friendliness: Kids menu available (10 & under) with plenty of options, dessert included (bring your own pen/crayon/marker to play the games)Wheelchair accessibility: First floor, no steps to enter. Some seating is not wheelchair friendly (booths that have a step up) buy there are plenty of regular tables. Seating is very close together, so keep that in mind.“
“You can even smoke in here! They have a badass pool tournament you can join if you dare. My husband and I were straight stuck on their arcade type bowling game!! The bartender was full of hilarious jokes, and so were the patrons. I really loved this place and plan to return!“
“First time here and it was to photography a birthday party. This club is definitely bigger on the inside than what the outside shows. The current bartender was nice and helpful. Seem to be plenty of space for a small type of event. Has a back room with a VIP section and another back room with a pool table.“
“Concur, this is a friendly, even historic, watering hole in one of the original grand downtown hotels of KCMO. And thank goodness they didn't mess with the original woodwork and theme of the place. The neon sign outside is precious and should never be allowed to be messed with! Whether you're here to watch (or catch) a game or just hanging out with some pals for a nightcap, hard to beat this small venue away from the huge crowds some places downtown are seeking. I can keep coming back here just fine.“
“Absolutely loved our visit to Chicagos! The festive Christmas atmosphere was a delightful touch during our trip from Canada for the Chiefs game. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. The locals added to the fantastic vibe. Highly recommend this little gem for its great atmosphere and fantastic hospitality“
“I honestly had no clue what to expect for charity bingo night. We went with a group for my mom’s 59th bday. (Yes, she’s a fun one) Usually places where entertainment is the highlight the food suffers - it did not disappoint at all- everything was delicious and all the meals looked amazing ? Our server Kate was the best customer service and service I’ve ever had in my life. I was so blown away by the service I had to tip 50% as that level of attention was mind blowing ? I never once had an empty glass or had to worry about anyone needing anything because we were taken care of that well. Deserves a raise! The bingo was a great time and many laughs were had. Would definitely come back! 20/10 recommend“
“Incredible place to dine or drink at. Ambience is next-level. They have different themes at different points throughout the year, it's worth going to each one. The food is incredible, the drinks are where the character of the place shines as they are catered to the theme. My wife and I try to make it as often as we can and have always had amazing service and an awesome experience every time. I hesitate to write such a good recommendation because reservations are sometimes hard to get but we really love the Conductor Club and it's a great excuse to visit Union Station and see a unique part of it as well.“
“Really fun, staff was very nice and helpful towards my kids. Also made a mistake on my purchase on their website and they refunded me the difference without me even asking. Bar service was fast and professional.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, we were there at happy hour and our kids were the only young folks there but the staff gave them plenty of attention, they had kiddie cocktails on the menu, etc“
“New to Liberty-10years. Wednesday at the Corner Bar is Taco WEDNESDAY. $2 tacos-fresh fixins.100% better than any fast food.I miss very few Wednesdays at the Corner Bar. Patty is a great bartender, server etc.She is not a story teller, just takes care of business. Ambience:What ambience ? Go there for food ,beer, friends, pool, Sports on TV.“
“My husband and I, and some dear friends, thoroughly enjoyed the 10 course meal with wine pairings, in the Tasting Room. It was the most amazing experience!! The food and cocktail/wine pairings were glorious and the experience was perfect! We will be back! Thank you for such an wonderful evening!“
“I had the fried chicken sandwich. I have Celiac Disease and haven't had a fried chicken sandwich in about 10 years. It was amazing! I love that the whole menu can be made gluten free. Service was friendly and helpful. I can't wait to come back to try more of the menu!“
“Havent been there in awhile. But i have to say the people are friendly and i always had a blast. The only negative thing i would have to say is everytime i went in there nobody knew how to make my favorite drink... Long island ice tea. But we figured it out each time and the staff were very welcoming!! I will definitely return if i get the chance or am in town :)“
“Slick little spot. Has a great vibe. The onion rings were pretty bad, tasted like a slightly cooked onion inside a mini cake donut, but I doubt people come here for the food. The Band was INCREDIBLE. They have pretty attentive staff as there was vomit on the stairs but it was cleaned up pretty quick.“
“A while back someone posted in a FB group wondering why people had not gone to a particular restaurant. Their complaint was that there were no pictures or posts about this restaurant. I must admit they were correct, and I set out to do something about it. So yesterday afternoon I got in my jalopy, and I drove over to a café they call Hard Core! When I got there, I ordered up a nice cold Dunkel and their version of the club sandwich. You see they take three slices of wheat bread and toast them to perfection and then they put onto that bread a good smear of mayo and on top of that mayo they put down some lettuce, cheese, turkey, and add the second slice and on that second slice they put a little more cheese tomato ham and bacon put the lid on it, drive a stake through its heart and cut it in half.Holy Moly! This is where human endurance is tested for you see that sandwich sits well over 3 and 1/2 in high! Even after attempting to squeeze it together, unless you have a lower jaw that you can unhinge, you cannot wrap your mouth around it. And when you do as I did and take a bite out of the bottom half and then a bite out of the top half, so you can get all of the flavors, I was amazed at how incredibly delicious and fresh this sandwich was. This is an incredible sandwich!Well done Hard Core CaféWell done indeed! It’s a Thursday afternoon and I'm filling my belly with a fantastic club sandwich in Gladstone!!“
