“I took my negative review down for the Corner Bar due to the impact it had on the establishment. It was not the actual business that I was targeting it was the employee whom is no longer employed there. I actually like the bar and have had fun there. I have played pool and enjoyed myself socially in the lovely picnic type area for smoking in the back. The extra drink perks are great too! I’m talking about the variety of jelly shots! They were awesome and cheap too!! U will have a fun evening of casual entertainment from the patrons and bartender at the Corner Bar!!Kid-friendliness: Kids are better left at home so u can let ur hair down and kick it like adults!!“
“5 stars with a caveat. Food incredible. Wait staff very good. Almost every employee smiled as they walked by. Reservations at 4. Promptly ordered drinks and a seafood tower. In 30 mins more drinks and another dozen oysters. 20 mins another round of drinks and crab cakes. Now it's 5:15. Hostess trys to take our menu. We were about ready to decide on dinner. She said she needed the menu as table was reserved for others at 6 and we'd better hurry. It totally threw us off. Not like we were just chit chatting. Sort of a strange way to say thanks for spending $300 with us. I guess the 2 hour rule is a midtown thing as I saw it at next place we tried to eat dinner at in Brookside. Besides the rude hostess, it is a midtown KC gem. Guess us farm folks with stay out South next time.“
“Work brings me to another amazing dining experience with Maggiano’s Little Italy. This place is really nice. Upscale beautiful restaurant with fantastic food. The stuffed mushrooms were the best I’ve ever had, cooked to perfection with a garlic pesto stuffing and butter sauce. The blackened salmon was perfect. The relish they add to the top is spicy and tangy but just enough to complement the salmon. The bed of mashed potatoes were so creamy and rich. The crusted shrimp added another highlight to an amazing dish.“

“I've been going here for 20+ years (their old location in midtown) and it never disappoints. Chili pepper wontons always a must order item. Ants on a tree and the braised pork and shiitake noodle soup are two of my favorites. China moon is also a great appetizer to start off the meal the plum sauce on the side is so good.“

“We went to Bamboo Penny's last night. The menu has a lot of choices. Started out with a Soju Colada. It's a pina colada.. Another couple and their 18 month old daughter joined us. The staff and our waiter were fabulous. The couple had brought a high chair to attached to the table. The waiter helped try and get it to fasten to the table along with the father. The two couldn't get it to work so the waiter promptly got a high chair. The couple had brought some food for the little one to nibble. When that was gone, the waiter brought over some diced mango and diced strawberries for the little one. It wasn't ordered. An extreme thoughtful gesture. The food was delicious.“
“I had the spicy margarita and it was excellent. We sat outside and it was nice. The spicy margarity comes in spice level 1-10. I had a 6, then an 8. I will order the 10 next time to see how hot it goes. They do not serve food. Not a,bad thing, but just being informative.“

I highly recommend their oysters, you can order them individually or 1/2 & full dozen. I enjoyed the west coast variety. My steak that I ordered was a 16 oz ribeye with blue cheese potatoes and mushroom pan roast. Everything was cooked to perfection and the meal was extremely satisfying. If you’re in the area and your budget allows, I would suggest you treat yourself and enjoy a dining experience here.Parking: There are 2 parking garages but they are not connected to the restaurant, nonetheless, it is a short walk in a quaint village like setting.“
“I had a great time at Blade & Timber in Leawood. It was my first time trying axe throwing and I was pleasantly surprised by how fun and easy it was. The staff was super friendly and helpful, they taught me the basics and gave me some tips to improve my throws. The place was very clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere was lively and upbeat. They also had a full bar and a nice selection of snacks to enjoy while throwing axes. The only downside was that it seemed a little overpriced for the experience. I paid $35, which felt a bit steep for something that didn't require much equipment or skill. I think it would be more reasonable to charge $15 or $20 per hour, or offer some discounts or deals for groups or repeat customers. Overall, I had a fun at Blade & Timber and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and exciting activity.“
“This is our third visit to this restaurant I thought they deserved some props. Food was tasty, portions were large and prices were very good. There was four of us and each person ordered a full plate lunch and drinks. Our check was around $90.00. Now some might freak at that but we all took home boxes with enough food for a second lunch. “I stopped in for a quick bite for lunch and was surprised with how good the food was. Looking online I thought they had a few more options for food but I think in the recent months they might have taken a few things off the menu. I ended up ordering the Thai chicken flatbread and eggplant fries as a side. Be aware the Thai chicken flatbread was a bit spicy but I still enjoyed it. I absolutely loved the eggplant fries. It came with a side of marinara and side of garlic aïoli. Both were great options to dip the fries in but I preferred the marinara. They showcase a lot of KC beers in their taproom which I enjoyed but I will say they had a few that they were out of when we visited unfortunately. This included a sour that I was really excited to try, hopefully next time I will be able to give it a go. The service was great. They got us in and out of there and probably 30 minutes and for lunch that's pretty dang good.“

“This is a pretty special bar. You immediately know you're a stranger amongst regulars during your first visit, but everyone is there to mind their own business and have a good time. The bar is female owned and ran, all the bartenders I've met so far are great. They have decently priced drinks, good cheap chinese food next door and plenty of tables and bar space. I can't really put my finger on why it feels so different than many of the bars I've gone to, but it's like a nice, comfortable dive/sports bar/pub feel and they don't tolerate nonsense so I always feel safe there when I'm there on my own as a woman. Good people all around who know how to make good drinks.“

Shana, the event coordinator was exceptional and very responsive. The food was so good….everyone raved about how much they loved it. We did an appetizer buffet and chose a veggie tray, spin dip, chicken wings, chicken sliders, cheeseburger sliders and steak street tacos. The two dedicated bartenders we had were the very best! We had the back bar and outdoor area with a fire pit. It was above and beyond what we expected. I give this place the highest recommendation for any event. Also, their happy hour can’t be beat! I ordered two meals to-go, chicken wings and a pork tenderloin with tater tots. The pork tenderloin filled the majority of the to-go styrofoam clam shell. It was lightly breaded and tasty. The wings were cooked well and were enjoyable. My 11-year-old son was thankful they were not spicy.“

Keno is available and every once in a while you get some complimentary bar snacks. Just make sure you show up for the barkeeps bday party each year. You'll never hear the end of it.“
“We came here to watch the Chiefs game last week. As a whole we had a pretty good experience and there are tons of TV's which make it the perfect place to watch sports. I didn't get anything to drink but most of our friends got beers and were surprised at how cheap they were. They were pleased with the amount and cost of the beer as well as the selection. We were a little confused about the lack of staff and it took us a bit to realize that they only two people working were working behind the bar. Once we figured that out it was fine but we definitely sat around waiting for someone to come to our table to start a tab. Not sure if that is just a game day thing or if it's always like that. The food situation was a bit odd. They have a relationship with Wing Stand next door, which is cool but the whole process of ordering and getting food was confusing. I'm this this will sound nit picky but you order food off a QR code (totally fine!!!) but it is confusing if they bring the food or if you have to get it. Either way is fine but it was just confusing. One table told us they had to go get it then another told us it was delivered. Our food ended up getting delivered which was nice. But they forgot napkins and utensils. No worries but Sully's didn't have any and I guess they don't carry that stuff. So after the convenience of having it delivered, we had to go get a bunch of stuff anyway. Overall our experience was good but we felt kind of dumb spending so much time figuring things out. It just didn't feel as simple as it should have been to get beer and food. It isn't the having to get off my butt that bothered me more the lack of understanding from customers what was going on as many people around us were confused.“
