Something I noticed was how clean the restaurant was. There was no stickiness on tables or the floors, there were fresh bottles of ketchup, and the tables were spotless. They also served our food in those baskets with the paper so we didn’t have to worry about a dirty plate!“

The stuffed mushrooms were the best I’ve ever had, cooked to perfection with a garlic pesto stuffing and butter sauce. The blackened salmon was perfect. The relish they add to the top is spicy and tangy but just enough to complement the salmon. The bed of mashed potatoes were so creamy and rich. The crusted shrimp added another highlight to an amazing dish.“

My steak that I ordered was a 16 oz ribeye with blue cheese potatoes and mushroom pan roast. Everything was cooked to perfection and the meal was extremely satisfying. The staff was super friendly and helpful, they taught me the basics and gave me some tips to improve my throws. The place was very clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere was lively and upbeat. They also had a full bar and a nice selection of snacks to enjoy while throwing axes. The only downside was that it seemed a little overpriced for the experience. I paid $35, which felt a bit steep for something that didn't require much equipment or skill. I think it would be more reasonable to charge $15 or $20 per hour, or offer some discounts or deals for groups or repeat customers. Overall, I had a fun at Blade & Timber and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and exciting activity.“
“This is our third visit to this restaurant I thought they deserved some props. Food was tasty, portions were large and prices were very good. There was four of us and each person ordered a full plate lunch and drinks. Our check was around $90.00. Now some might freak at that but we all took home boxes with enough food for a second lunch. Our server was very helpful and attentive to everyone at our table. All of highly recommend Southside Bar & Grill for lunch. I'm sure it would be great for dinner too!“

It was not the actual business that I was targeting it was the employee whom is no longer employed there. I actually like the bar and have had fun there. The wings were cooked well and were enjoyable. My 11-year-old son was thankful they were not spicy.“

Less typical Mexican decor and more casual dining feel. Got chips and salsa and not my favorite. A little thin and too hot. Got some queso and chips appetizer. Yes!! Excellent cheese texture and taste and the large half tortilla chips were fabulous!! I got the puffy tacos with pork and a side of guac. Delicious guac. My wife got a chim... Huge!! Delicious refried beans... Had some substance to them. My tacos were large and generously filled with wonderful roast pork that was moist and tender. I used the salsa as a taco sauce and it paired perfectly. Things were going nicely so we also got the sopillas with cinnamon sugar, honey, and cream. Yes!! The cream tasted homemade but it is a spray can. The texture was thin but I have to tell you these are some of the best we've found in the KC metro. I'd probably come back just to stuff myself with these. How is it we've never heard rave recommendations to come here?? I really want to come back to try the pork chili. If they serve it with some more of those half fried corn tortillas or some fried flour tortillas... I might go crazy. Right now this place ranks in my top 3 Mexican restaurants in the Metro.“

We sat for a while until we tracked down a server, wondering if we needed to order at the bar. No, they said they just never saw us sit because our booth was hidden slightly.The server then stopped by, and we ordered. The food arrived in a timely manner, and my date asked for a refill. We ate the food ( it was good ), but a refill never arrived. My date finally went to the bar to get a drink because 10 minutes had passed and our food was gone but we were thirsty.The server saw this and apologized. We received our check and headed to play.We got a card and played games. They were fun, but a few took our points but were not working correctly. We tried to talk to the people in charge of this but stood in line for 15 minutes. 2 different occasions. A manager was called because the kids in charge didn't know how to resolve this. I believe possibly their first day.Overall, we had fun. The bathrooms were not very clean, and they were maybe 20% capacity for a Thursday night. When we tried to sit for dinner, 25% of the tables were covered in dirty dishes, so we sat in a corner. Therefore, we were not spotted.I'd go again, but I wouldn't call this place a must visit. It's definitely a fun place for the kids. I also wouldn't expect a top-tier dining experience at a game place. The food was pretty good fyi.We had fun.“
