“We enjoyed fried chicken family style on a Saturday evening at the Claysville Store.We had reservations, and waited a very short while for our table.Once seated, we sat for over 20 minutes waiting for a waitress to acknowledge our presence. Tables around us were seated and served before a waitress finally appeared to take our drink order. This was not a matter of the restaurant being busy or other excuses: waitresses appeared at other tables seated after us. This was simply a matter of disorganization with the serving staff.Once we were acknowledged, the food was excellent, and the service thereafter was good. We enjoyed our meal once we were served. The cole slaw may be the best I've ever had.REMEMBER, you should have reservations before appearing for dinner at the Claysville Store. ALSO, the Claysville Store does not take credit or debit cards - just cash or check.Parking: Parking is a little tight - be patient when looking.“

“What a fun place to play games! There is a HUGE selection of games. They have a new sandwich menu that is excellent. I had the Black Bean Avocado sandwich and it was fantastic. The atmosphere is great...I will be back!“

“My husband had the fish sandwich and I had a foot long chili cheese dog--both were quite tasty! We shared some hot, crunchy tots then finished with messy, yummy cones! A vintage hometown favorite. Great service, too.“

“My husband and I just dined in Madison Cafe and were amazed how great everything was. Regrettably, we reside in Jefferson City for nine years without ever dining at Madison Cafe. We wish we had gone there sooner because the food, staff, and prices are really great. We will return to M.C. real soon.“

“3/17/24 Had the 6 piece chicken tenders with fries and side salad... Overall not to bad but the food could have been a little warmer than it was but still decent enough...They were short staffed but my server did the best she could and i understood the situation not her fault... Great place to eat...“
“What sn absolute gem in rural Missouri. I was yearning for chicken fried steak and chanced on this gem. The owner was great, and even offered us some fried green tomatoes from the buffet. The steak was as it should taste, and just the way I remembered from my time in Texas. Please come patronize this place - honest American small business.“
“Steve's offers delicious, homestyle cooking. Their fried chicken is perfectly cooked as is their country ham. Their vinegar based slaw, green beans and fries are all excellent sides. Their bread, which is served as an appetizer, is tasty as well. It is a short drive from Jefferson City, and definitely worth it.“

“I had lunch today at Culver's when it was busy and they were much faster than they have been previous visits. The Cashier, Destin, was kind, friendly and helpful which is great to see in a young person!! Our food came quickly and was up to standards. We had a great lunch!!“

“This is only a review of the bakery because I still need to go back to dine in. Our daughter wanted a unique cake and Mimi & Papa's did a great job putting a purple fantasy-style dragon on a cake for her. It was really easy to speak with someone over the phone and by facebook messenger, and they were very accommodating on the size and timing of the pick up. Rowdy 10-year olds destroyed the cake, so I assume it was delicious. I would recommend this bakery to anyone that wants a custom cake.“
