“Hubby and I went there for the first time tonight, pleasantly surprised with the food and atmosphere. Prices aren't bad at all. We will definitely be going back, it's small and quaint per say. We felt as we did when we're back home at one of our favorite places, before moving up here 20 yrs “

“Curb appeal was great. Easy entrance with good parking. Very friendly staff to welcome you. Indirect lighting, painting scheme was warm and welcoming.Carlos, our waiter, was incredibly helpful and funny.Booth was comfortable with nice view of downtown J. City. Best margarita I’ve had in 20 years. Chips were a little thick but the sauce was fresh and flavorful.I had the pollo chorizo. Tender and sooo full of flavor. Highly recommend and will return!“

“Taking that this is a bar into account, I feel the 5 stars is justified. The food is very consistent. There is plenty of room in the bar and on the patio. The space is managed well, there is lots to do. Shuffleboard, pool, darts, slots, and outdoor games. Prices are reasonable. Most notably, this place has several bar tenders who have been there for years. That really speaks to the ownership and tells me why this place is always busy.“

“Discovered this hidden gem just a short drive from Jefferson City, and it was worth every minute! The food was simply delicious, with the catfish being a standout—it practically melted in your mouth! While the service was a tad slow, it didn't overshadow the mouthwatering experience, especially paired with their delectable French fries.“

Only thing I wish was better was the cost of drinks was about the same as the food, so wish they would make those a little more reasonable. All in all spent $70 for 4 people for about 2 hours of fun.“

“Although they only sell chips and slim jims, they're the best chips and slim jims in town! And even though it IS a Cubs bar, it is a good ol boy, friendly kind of establishment. Yes they serve world famous Lunchboxes (a shot of sorts, it's in a huge beer mug so don't be shocked), but I love to frequent there for the fun conversation, strong drinks, and awesome bartenders. Oh and there are darts if you wanna throw something sharp at a wall hoping it'll stick.“

“3 of us gals drove from Iowa to hear Ben Green play. I loved the atmosphere. Everyone was so welcoming. The drinks were great. I had gin and tonic with lime. The staff and customers were so loving and kind!! Met Steve, Steve and Kevin... highly recommend hanging out here. We will be back even if its a 4 1/2 hour drive.“
