The coffee scene in KC has space for a lot of variety, and plainly to declare one the best ignores the complexity of the tapestry that is taste. Second Best approaches this with humility to explore that they still have room to grow and develop in to what would make them the best coffee experience. Their community, tenure, and coffee represent a cornerstone of Midwest experience.
The barista at the Holmes location could not have been more unfriendly. Like she’s doing me a favor by making my coffee. Coffee was good but because of the service I won’t be back.
I love this little coffee shop! ☕💕 And they do a great job making you feel safe with a mask mandate when you're not sitting at a socially distanced table enjoying a beverage and/or treat!
