“I recently attended a wedding where Nothing Bundt Cakes was used for the “cake”. It was actually the smaller bundtinis. These were the most delicious moist flavorful sweets I’ve ever had!!!! Hands down would have to be the best wedding cake ever! Good job!!!“

“So I have a wheat allergy, and have been going to neighbors mill for a long time because I can have the spelt oat bread. Here recently the customer service has gone way down hill. Today I called a head and order a grilled cheese on spelt, a tomato soup, and a salad and told them “no bread on the side.” When I got there I checked my food (because I have ordered this before and still end up with bread on the salad and have to give it away) and the salad had the focaccia in with it. So I told the lady checking me out that it needs to be remade, and her response to me was “well you should have told us.” (It was written on the receipt) so while I was waiting for that I asked for a spelt pumpkin muffin, paid for it and went on my way. At a stop light I had realized that she had given me a regular pumpkin muffin. So I turned around and when I got there she said “what’s wrong now?” And I told her that she put a regular muffin in my bag when I had asked for a spelt one because of my allergy. Needless to say I’m done, between what happened today and a buddy of mine used to work there and he told me that they treat their employees like garbage. Now they’re treating their customers the same way.“

The lunch choices all looked wonderful and our final selections were delicious! “As a mainstay of Springfield, each Travellers House has its own unique aesthetic. The West Republic Road location has a warm, rustic atmosphere. The Venturella family has taken pains to accommodate a wide range of customers. There are high-top and normal tables with good outlet access for your laptop or tablet. There are sections of upholstered chairs for a comfortable social gathering or curling up to a good book. A more secluded area with a couch and chairs is also available. Just to cover all of the possible needs of a customer, there is also a conference room for you Bible study or company meeting.The pastries are all made from scratch either on site or at their Boomer location. With expert knowledge of coffee and tea, you can't go wrong with any of their brewed drinks, but some are good and others are great! The lunch menu does not disappoint, offering quite a selection of options.The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. Orders are completed promptly and with care. As a testament to their customer retention, they have quite a few regulars.All-in-all, Travellers House is a solid option for about any type of coffee or tea related occasion. I cannot recommend them highly enough.Wheelchair accessibility: I regularly see myriad personal transportation devices come in and out with ease. There is ready access from the parking lot to the front door.“

“I just left Black Dog, a shop which I’ve been in many times, but mostly for coffee not for food. They had just released a new chocolate orange cruffinish bread so I thought I’d give it a go. Words are hard to describe what I felt but It was the most amazing pastry experience I have ever had. Seriously from a man who loves pastries this is otherworldly. I can honestly say it is the best pastry I’ve ever eaten. I’m absolutely blown away. This has ruined me for other desserts. Well done Black Dog. Well done.“
